Square Enix have revealed first official trailer of upcoming Marvel's Avengers game at E3 2019 event.

For long, publisher Square Enix has been silent on "The Avengers Project" that was officially announced back at E3 2017 event. In December 2018, the game's Creative Director Shaun Escayg assured that development will start soon.

Only a week ago, an official Twitter account starts referring it as Marvel's Avengers and revealed schedule for a worldwide reveal at E3 2019. Today, fans are finally getting a glance at this long-awaited superhero action-adventure game.

An exclusive first-look trailer has been released earlier to present a more detailed look into upcoming Avengers game.

It all begins at A-Day, when globally known superhero team of Avengers showed up in San Francisco to unveil their new hi-tech Headquarters. A sudden explosion nearby has Captain America send Iron Man and Thor to investigate.

Black Widow and Hulk joined soon into that mess what seemed like an act of terrorism by a private military force. A staged catastrophe causes huge devastation and these heroes were blamed, which led to disbandment of The Avengers.

Fast forward to five years later, all superheroes are now outlawed by society and long gone. Entire world suffers from growing threats and the only way to save it will take for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to reassemble once again.

Over time, fans will receive regular updates for free to extend in-game content and there will be no micro-transaction. More Marvel heroes will be added to increase an ever-growing roster and options for customization will be available.

After signing up a multi-year and multi-game partnership deal with Marvel Games, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal were roped in by Square Enix to develop the game for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Lately, Google Stadia has been added to its list of platforms and a definitive release date of May 15, 2020 is also confirmed. As pre-order bonus, a pre-release Beta Access of the game will be offered to players on PS4 before anyone else.

Although it was mentioned in E3 2019 trailer that footage shown are captured from in-game engine, it was quite hard to tell where cinematic cut-scenes ended or where we were watching gameplay moments except from its opening scene.

Marvel's Avengers will adapt an original story just like Insomniac Games most recently did with their immensely successful project, Marvel's Spider-Man. Despite many believe it to be an MMO or RPG but apparently we are getting an action-adventure title.

Marvel's Avengers Will Be Revealed at E3 2019

Square Enix would finally reveal their ambitious superhero adventure Marvel's Avengers at E3 2019 press conference.

Teaming up with Marvel Games for a multi-game partnership, publisher Square Enix officially announced superhero action-adventure game that was simply titled "The Avengers Project" at E3 2017 event and had no development updates for long.

Originally announced in January 2017, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and EIDOS Montreal joined on board for this project. We don't even have a release window set for its possible launch but hopefully, we will get something very soon.

Back then, a brief cinematic has shown Captain America's shield, Iron Man's repulsor arm and Thor's hammer Mjolnir fallen on the ground that suggests that original Avengers have probably disassembled and they need to "reassemble".

It is highly likely for a new group of heroes to gather to pick up mantles of their icons in a brand-new original story where a new generation of heroes like Amadeus Cho, Jane Foster and Sam Wilson can now form New Avengers.

We can pretty much except a similar lineup on Marvel Cinematic Universe as well since Avengers have already gone through major events such as "Infinity War" and "Endgame" lately, leading some key-characters to pass their mantle to new heroes.

Almost a year after The Avengers Project was announced, Creative Director Shaun Escayg updated everyone on social media saying how hard they are working on this ambitious game and will soon reveal more when it is right time.

Given how Square Enix is planning to introduce a universe where gamers can play for years to come, Marvel's Avengers may turn out to be an MMO or RPG experience, which would not be very surprising and we will find that out on June 10, 6 PM PT.

The Avengers Project Will Begin Development Soon

Creative Director Shaun Escayg for upcoming The Avengers Project from Square Enix promises a very ambitious game.

It has been more than a year since Square Enix has signed a multi-year and multi-game partnership with Marvel Games back in 2017, which was supposed to began with the development of The Avengers Project.

For long, there was no update regarding the anticipating title and fans were wondering whether or not the game will ever see the light. Finally, their prayers are answered and a recent update from the game's Creative Director Shaun Escayg has reassured that.

Although his Tweet doesn't reveal much detail on their progress, it does confirm the fans that the studio is working really hard for a very ambitious game. Also, this update may be hinting in advance that Marvel may come up with some official news in 2019.

Apparently, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and EIDOS Montreal were supposed to work on the game but initially they didn't give a specific release date. The former has moved into a new state-of-the-art studio to work on bigger projects.

Last year, they started recruiting heads for the game and spend quite a while doing that. They were busy working on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and also saw release of the newly rebooted Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vikander.

Fans have been theorizing that the title may be an MMO or RPG experience because Square Enix's history with the Final Fantasy series. Marvel also backed the Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series but had to scrap further plans after Telltale Games underwent a massive layoff.
