Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 Release Date

2018 is going to mark Mega Man’s 30th anniversary and developer/publisher Capcom plans to celebrate this event by releasing their latest installment of the franchise, Mega Man 11. However, we don't need to wait that long and can celebrate our favorite blue robot character Mega Man with Mega Man X game series, because Capcom is bringing Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2, collecting all eight X games of the series for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 Release Date

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 both will debut worldwide on July 24, 2018. Mega Man X Legacy Collection collects Mega Man X, X2, X3 and X4 from the series and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 contains X5, X6, X7 and X8. These collections will be available to digitally purchase for only $19.99 each. If you prefer to buy physical copy, then the two discs retail bundle collection will cost you $39.99 only. For Switch, the first collection comes in a cartridge and a digital download voucher will be given for second compilation.

Below is the announce trailer for Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2, briefly showcasing unique history of the series.

The entire action-platformer Mega Man X series is based on a post-apocalyptic setting that we are about to revisit through Legacy Collection 1 & 2. During the 16-bit era of 90's, Mega Man X entered the scene in 1994 to usher an evolution on its own. A classic formula of jumping and shooting through eight different stages with a Maverick boss character at the end to foil a sinister plot by an evil mastermind was established. Mega Man X series has added dashing and wall jumping into the gameplay mix.

Some all-new features are what make legacy collections special and visual upgrade is one of them. Each title has received some graphical smoothing which is optional for players or you can just play as they were in their original resolution. CRT filters for early sprite-based entries and full screen mode to balance the aspect ratio are there with widescreen mode. Mega Man X7 and X8 has their 3D models improved for sharp output as well.

Full soundtracks of the series, brand-new tracks and remixes are all included. One more thing there is to note about these anthologies is that Mega Man Xtreme, Mega Man Xtreme 2 and Mega Man X: Command Mission games are excluded in this set. A 25-minute original video animation titled "The Day of Σ" from Maverick Hunter X, which details origin story of series antagonist Sigma in prior events that laid foundation for X games series.

All-New "X Challenge" Mode

There is a museum full of archived key-arts, notable trailers, toys, trading cards and other cool stuff. Plus, a brand-new "X Challenge" mode is introduced, where Mega Man has to take on two classic Maverick bosses at the same time from different X games. You get to choose a maximum of three weapons into the fight or if you believe yourself as a pro-Maverick hunter then jump in with only a buster for earning your bragging rights. Have you ever wondered if you can defeat both Chill Penguin and Frost Walrus at once? Now you can easily find out.

With releasing of Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2, Capcom finally is giving some recognition to this classic series what was due for decades as they are no longer available on Nintendo 3DS. Whether you picked up early titles of the franchise or came late to pick the newer games, these two collections will suffice.

Super Mario Odyssey Added New Special Outfits

It's been more than five months that Nintendo has released their platformer Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch. It's easy to get bored for anyone in this long time playing a game with same old costumes and outfits. If that is the case with you then we have good news for you. Two more brand-new costumes have been added to Nintendo Switch in-game shop for the game most recently and one of them might be important for old fans.

One of these outfits is a Satellaview Suit & Helmet and the other being a Baseball Uniform & Batting Helmet. Nintendo has officially announced the news on Twitter with pictures of Mario wearing those attires.

The first outfit is reminiscent to a device that used to let players download games and enjoy them using a satellite connection for Super Nintendo console. The developers launched it for Japan in 1995 but never released this for any foreign marketplace though. Even with the brief little history it had with the company, Nintendo is paying homage by adding that space costume Mario wore in Satellaview’s commercial.

In case if you are wondering, Mario does not look anything athletic like while running and jumping around various levels wearing those baseball uniform at all. You can still dress him up to the uniform of America's national sport as both of them are available right now. Besides, these outfits are also a subtle nod to Nintendo's series of all the Mario Baseball games that came out till day. The striped uniform can be yours for 3000 coins and for another 1500; you can get the batting helmet as well.

Maybe adding these two new outfits are not going to get you excited as a new DLC would have, yet this is something to go back to Super Mario Odyssey for and collect the items as a fan. A while ago, few fans found out these costumes hidden deep beneath the codes within Balloon World update of the game. There was a few more and that means Satellaview Suit and Baseball Uniform are only the start. Costumes like 8-bit Mario hat, Santa outfit and more are just waiting to come out.

Catherine: Full Body First Trailer

Only days after the announcement for 2011's puzzle platformer adventure title Catherine remake as Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Atlus and Studio Zero have dropped the first trailer for this upcoming project at a livestream on Nico Nico on December 22. The entire clip is mostly filled with small cutscenes and illustrations from the game and so far, no significant change in the gameplay is noticeable yet.

Catherine: Full Body First Trailer

Now witness the first trailer for Catherine: Full Body is released by Atlus and learn more about the rumor of adding a third "Catherine" to the game this time.

The plot of the game revolves around Vincent Brooks who is already troubling with two enormously gorgeous ladies, Catherine and Katherine. The former came to his life when the latter was already there for five years and complicates Vincent's life by having a one night stand with him. That's not the end of the story. Right after this mishap, he discovers himself in a nightmare realm every time he goes to sleep where he constantly struggles to keep up from dying by climbing puzzled tower blocks.

This is something that anyone who played the original title already knows but what makes this remake more interesting is that it adds more to the pile and that starts with bringing another bombshell into the play. The third "Catherine" of the game is named Rin and she is a pianist at the Stray Sheep bar. Beside that nickname, we don't even know her age and how she will impact on the life of a troubled Vincent.

However, there is a twist nearing the end of the trailer that has been making buzzes and making some fans angry in advance speculation. After Rin and Vincent get to know each other, they end up in a room and she stands nude in front of him. As he looks at her loins, his eyes go wide and jaws drop in what seems like a shock. Whereas many are speculating that the reaction is of finding out that Rin is a trans-woman, Atlus denied to issue any comment on the subject.

Shock or Comedy?

We think if they can handle Rin being trans-woman well, then it would add more fun to the plot but since the studio already ill-treated another trans character named Erica in the same game, players are skeptical. Though there is no official release date yet, Catherine: Full Body will be released on winter 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Catherine: Full Body Reveals New Catherine

We already know that 2011's puzzle-platformer Catherine is getting a remake edition titled Catherine: Full Body by developer Atlus for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. This time the game will include more contents, sound and design improvements, competitive multiplayer and several endings to make it even more interesting. What we recently came to know is that there will be a third Catherine alongside other characters of the original title to add more twist to the mix.

We got to know about the inclusion of this new character from the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu, who dedicated their most recent issue to the upcoming video game Catherine: Full Body and published some brand-new screenshots and artwork by Shigenori Soejima to fill us in. Katsura Hashino’s Studio Zero is currently handling the development process of the game and they are almost halfway done.

Compared to the already introduced primary characters of Catherine and Katherine McBride, Rin is a complete different person in overall behavior. She is a pianist at the Stray Sheep bar, where Vincent Brooks often visits and spends time. Rin might seem like a sweet, gentle and straightforward girl but at times, you might find her acting silly. Aside from her nickname "Rin", her actual name and age is still undisclosed. The character is voiced by Aya Hirano, who previously played the role of Haruhi Suzumiya and Misa Amane in Death Note.

Regardless to say that, the title “Full Body” indicates that there will be a few sexy events within the game. Then as part of a large chunk of new contents promised by the developers, a few more anime cut scenes and new endings are to be expected. Competitive gameplay is added as an online feature and you can also cross-save the game between your PlayStation 4 and Vita. All of that and then some more erotic excitement since we are talking about a Catherine game.

Catherine: Full Body is announced to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita but no official release date is given yet by Atlus. Many of the fans are looking forward to and speculating that the title may also see its release on Nintendo Switch soon after the initial debut on Sony's consoles. More information of the title will be revealed at a livestream on Nico Nico on December 22, 7:30 PM Japan time.

Catherine: Full Body Announced for PlayStation 4

Developer studio Atlus, who are also responsible for the Persona series, made a puzzle adventure platformer back in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 based on supernatural elements that became quite a hit. We are talking about relationship-drama centric video game Catherine and recently, Atlus have announced to remake the game anew as Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It will be published by Atlus' Studio Zero Team and new contents would be added to the title.

Catherine: Full Body Announced for PlayStation 4

Catherine: Full Body will bring back Vincent Brooks once again, who is having some commitment issues and is caught up with a beautiful woman named Catherine, while he is already in a relationship with Katherine McBride. Now, Vincent struggles in between day and night when he finds himself trapped in a nightmarish hell that constantly tries to kill him. He has to climb his way up to tower puzzles set in the dream dimension to survive and must choose between Catherine or Katherine.

RELATED: Catherine: Full Body Reveals New Catherine

Instead of choosing "Remastered" or "Remake" to the title, the developers decided to go with the subtitle Full Body because of two reasons. First of all, they are bringing more contents within the original title and it's like a full-bodied wine for the ones who already played the game. So, it only makes sense if you put it that way. Plus, it also sounds more sexually stimulating, meaning they are probably going to add up more X-rated ingredients in the game this time.

Catherine: Full Body will most possibly introduce a third "Catherine" to add some more twist in the mix and make things more twisted for Vincent. The background visuals and sound design has been re-worked to terrify Vincent's nightmare more than it already is. Besides, there will be competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes in Catherine: Full Body. So far, these are reason enough to try out the game this time if you haven't the first time.

Now, before we all dug-deep into the offerings SteamWorld Dig 2 has in store for us, lets take a quick look at the release date trailer of the game.

Naturally, when a sequel to any game comes out, you expect it to be more updated and have new features. Well, guess what? There are.

Our favorite little ol' pal Rusty won't be there with us into the fun. Instead, Dorothy McCrank will join us in the quest, who became a hero of her own right from her days of being a sidekick. Since Dorothy will be busy saving the day on her own, you will still get a load of side characters along your journey. Some of them are good, some are bad. You have to find out which is which.

The upgrades that are added to the sequel are bigger and better than before. They will take you to places and help you fly in caves. There are so many of them, we cannot really fit all of their description here. As there are so many tools to get you going, you can normally expect that there will be danger on every other corner and you have to watch out. Considering all of that, the game looks like an absolutely fantastic package that will win the fans over again.

SteamWorld Dig 2 will come out first on Switch, then PC and afterwards in other popular platforms with more charm and excellence packed with it. Apparently, SteamWorld Dig 2 release date is going to be September 21 for Nintendo Switch on Nintendo eShop and then on September 26, it will see the worldwide release on Steam, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Aegis Defenders Comes to PlayStation 4

In the age of high-definition graphics featured 3D video games are taking over the whole gaming and console industry. However, if done correctly, 2D games are still capable of winning hearts and being commercially successful. Keeping that in mind, developer GUTS Department has created a mixture of action RPG and tower defense game through Aegis Defenders, a project that was actually conceived back in 2014. It has a very interesting gameplay and an awesome environment for gamers to wander around while playing.

Game director Bryce Kho calls it a “genre-mashup” and shared the announcement trailer with us all.

Basically, the Aegis Defenders game has three simple rules for the overall gameplay and those are; explore, build and defend. Set into the dark ages, the gamers will explore the wondrous world around him that will make him solve puzzles and twists in every turn to gather resources. Using those, you will build and set up structures at the end of each level before your enemy arrives in gang to overwhelm you.

Finally, when your enemy is at the gates, you got only one job to do and that is to defend your base at any cost. You might as well use help by switching between your players to do so.

You play the game as Bart and Clu, trying to survive attacks from wave of beasts and other threats, while constantly switch your characters through swapping system. GUTS Department actually went through their Kickstarter trailer and re-made the whole game with improved gameplay and updates.

Partnering with publisher Humble Bundle, Aegis Defenders will be released on PlayStation 4 platform this winter, which was already announced previously for Mac and PC with the final release date yet to be revealed.
