Fallout 76 To Stop PvP Bullying

With Fallout 76, Bethesda is planning to stop people from bullying other players in multiplayer PvP experience.

So far, what we know about upcoming action role-playing game Fallout series is that a new installment titled Fallout 76 is already announced and it is set to release on November 14, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We also know that the game will be online multiplayer focused and that raises one particular concern for many. Developers of Bethesda promised that despite being played online, players won't be able to harass each other as they used to in previous titles.

RELATED: E3 2018 News and Rumors

As this is F76 is the first MMO in the whole series, not only it creates scope for numerous opportunities of adventures but also brings a few trouble along with it. Aside from any other hindrance that could ruin the gameplay experience, one major problem is players bullying fellow players but Bethesda might have a solution for that and their Senior Vice President Pete Hines also talked about how they are planning on tackling this picky issue that has been going on for some time.

Since the game will avoid using NPCs, the only occupants of that world are either robots or other participating players like you. Not only that, the Wasteland of Fallout 76 is apparently four times larger than any other that you have ever found in any of the previous games of the franchise and developers also introduced an advanced ecosystem for that. There are some very helpful hands around and some ruthless bandits come to play but some downward bullies are going to get it this time.

RELATED: The Elder Scrolls: Legends to Replace Developers

If you have ever come across one of these sadistic people, you know that they would do whatever they wish just because they can. Upon encountering a stranger in this world, you have to figure out whether that person is a friendly neighbor or an opportunistic seeking marauder. That much tension is normal and allowed but if someone decides to harass you over and over again or keeps killing you repeatedly, the PvP established in the game is designed to stop this from happening.

RELATED: Fallout 76 E3 Trailer

Other people coming to get you should be seen as just another Deathclaw creature from Fallout 4. You can either try and kill one or die fighting before moving over to do something else. It simply cannot keep chasing you throughout the map. The game simply doesn't allow someone to engage in a grudge against someone and over time, developers will tweak the system even more to improve this function to deliver a leveled playing field for everyone as a measure against cyber-bullying.

To helm this event, Marvel has picked comic-book writer Christos Gage (Thunderbolts – Secret Invasion, World War Hulk – X-Men) and artist Clayton Crain (Carnage – U.S.A., Ghost Rider – Road to Damnation) to work things up. Gage has also worked on the script of Marvel's Spider-Man game and he thinks there couldn't be a better time that this new embodiment of the hero joins the rest of his brethren. Of course the core-story will be dominated by characters like the Amazing Spider-Man, his clone Ben Reilly as the Scarlet Spider, Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen, the writer had to choose how to place this new character in a way that doesn't seem forced or unnecessary to audience, because this is going to be a major step for him. Rosemann believes it as a rare honor for their creative efforts to flesh out a redefined version of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and it will inspire them to do better in future.

Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Full Nudity

Because it is reflecting of their theme, Cyberpunk 2077 will not have censorship as it defines the genre of the game.

Long since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developer studio CD Projekt Red has been busy with their upcoming role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, which was announced in May 2012, then dropped a teaser trailer next year and at E3 2018, they have finally revealed another trailer with a release date yet to be set. They have displayed over a 50 minutes long gameplay demo to the audience present to show them various features of the game and to make a statement.

cyberpunk 2077 will feature full nudity
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Full Nudity

Obviously, the demo was clearly impressive and the people there is reminded their capability as a studio. However, at point of the presentation, there were some giggles in the crowd for a certain reason. The game has a character creation system where you can customize face, hairstyles and even sex, which have both male and female figures on a blue mock-up background. Although the models were completely nude, their genital parts were pixelated with noise.

Maybe some members from the spectators giggled because they were either shocked by nudity or uncomfortable with the subject. Some of them perhaps wondered why censoring the human form in a video game but game director Adam Badowski thought it was very necessary. For the E3 presentation, they decided to censor nudity as a tactical move by the developer team. CD Projekt Red didn't want people to think that they have used nudity in video games for some shock value.

cyberpunk 2077 gameplay pc
Hottest Tech In Town

When the full game will be released, there will not be any pixelated area or digital noise over the bodies but for the E3 conference, they simply wanted the international press over there not making a huge deal about male or female sexuality. Also, they wanted to keep the public reaction to a giggle and not bursting into laughter. Badowski believes, nakedness is normal and makes it all believable, which is why they included it. It's not something special and there is no other reason for them to go with it.

One of the most important themes for the game Cyberpunk 2077 is transhumanism and their inclusion of full nudity in it actually supports the belief. It is the idea that humanity can rise above their mental and physical state with technological enhancements. The entire game is about to let the players experience how that feeling is and bareness is just part of a puzzle piece that makes it whole along with many other aspects. Showing body parts are necessary because they play a big role in the setting.

cyberpunk 2077 nudity transhumanism
Transcend Above Current Form

There is a sequence, where your job is to rescue a kidnapped woman and you learn a brutal truth that she was not taken because of a demand of ransom. Her captors were planning to chop her to pieces so that they can collect high-tech implants within her body to sell them on black market. Upon defeating the crooks, you discover her body in a bathtub full of ice with another naked NPC. The player must bring her outside for the paramedics to take a look at her ASAP.

In the futuristic Night City, everyone wants or needs augmented parts for their body and meat or not, body parts are shown for that reason. Some of them are so much augmented that there is a little of humanity left in them or maybe none. So, people do not need to feel awkward about that as it is the nature of the genre. CD Projekt Red still hasn't announced a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 which will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

HitRecord on Beyond Good & Evil 2 #nospec Backlash

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s collaboration organization HitRecord is teaming up with Ubisoft but some people skeptical of the idea.

Just like many other exclusive news from E3 2018 press conference has gotten us excited, developer studio Ubisoft had a couple of them in their fold. Teaming up with an online collaborative production company HitRecord owned by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt for their upcoming action-adventure game Beyond Good & Evil 2 have all the enthusiastic fans thrilled for a rare chance of contributing to this project but this also invokes criticism from many industry professionals.

hitrecord beyond good and evil 2 nospec backlash
HitRecord on Beyond Good & Evil 2 #nospec Backlash

During the discussion, fans are asked to participate creating art assets and making music that will be used in the actual game. This use of fan-made assets has some amateurs and professionals of the art community concerned over the issue of payment. While Gordon and Ubisoft allowed artists and musicians to take part and showcase their talent, people were commenting on whether or not they are getting paid for using their work as it was omitted in the initial announcement.

Seeing everyone making remarks over the matter, Gordon almost immediately took Twitter to clear out things and their intention of paying the patron.

Assuring that each backer would get paid whenever their work used for the game would earn money from it did not really cleared out the frustration that came out from many specialized individuals. He cleared out that his platform is not for industry professionals to earn a living from and they just don't pay in crumbs. Depending on their amount of input for the finished product, some of those benefactors earn in hundreds and some even ends up making tens of thousands for their effort.

HitRecord's partnering up with Ubisoft for Beyond Good and Evil 2 is not just another regular collaboration project. It opens up a new door of opportunity for the contributors to be involved in certain parts of the game and get paid a kind of compensation from a budget sum of $50,000. It will be spread among everyone who has their work included in the completed game. However, for a multibillion-dollar publisher like Ubisoft, that amount is relatively small for a project like this.

joseph gordon levitt e3 hitrecord ubisoft
Joseph Gordon-Levitt at E3

This ridiculous payment sum clearly points out that both companies are not looking to hire anyone but get a work done by the involvement of group of community artists and that is where many professionals have a problem. This program seemingly looks an awful lot like "spec work" or "speculative work", where an artist works on a project which may or may not earn him a payment. A lot of big-name companies try to rip-off artists with this absurd practice and concerned artists are against this initiative.

The following video is a fine example from Canadian design agency Zulu Alpha Kilo on how "spec work" is totally unacceptable and absurd.

It's been quite long that a lot of agencies and individual professionals have taken a stand against this irrationality and some of them are even using the #nospec hashtag on social media as well. Though in most cases, companies don't give you any form of control over your own original work, Gordon-Levitt's HitRecord works on how to monetize it and give you a cut under a non-exclusive license. The content creator reserves the full right to do whatever they please with it or however they use it.

That actually makes things trickier, because despite you owning the rights to your contribution, the end work is a result of many collaborators and produces a unique product which they have the right to sell. The $50,000 esteemed budget is for music and visuals of nine categories for BGE2 has already amassed more than three thousand submissions. So, the above-mentioned prize is a small piece of cake for a selected many to take a bite from and a huge sum of unpaid labor for others not making a cut.

The Last of Us Hits 17 Million Sales

Sony Interactive Entertainment has sold more than 17 million copies of The Last of Us game on PS3 and PS4.

With everyone hyping over developer Naughty Dog's upcoming action-adventure survival horror game The Last of Us Part II with its amazing gameplay reveal at E3 2018, the studio reminded us why they’re making a sequel to the critically acclaimed original. On the 5th anniversary of The Last of Us' release, their official Twitter account revealed that publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment have sold over 17 million copies of the game till April 2018 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Although, they had the data regarding units sold to their hands back in April, the studio probably waited for the fifth anniversary of the game’s debut to come and then make it public. The game was released on June 14, 2013 for PS3 and 13 months after it came out, Sony has already sold 7 million copies of it. A PS4 version, The Last of Us Remastered is released on July 2014, which saw 1 million units sold in just a month and mounted a total of 8 million copies of the game.

RELATED: Uncharted and Last of Us Movie Update

It terms of sales, The Last of Us had a pretty good run by selling nearly close to 10 million copies in a year after it saw release. When the game was ported to PlayStation 4, it saw another surge on stores for the game. It became so popular that Sony even announced a new PlayStation 4 bundle that offered The Last of Us Remastered with it back in 2015. Game director Neil Druckmann surely did an awesome job creating a compelling story of Joel and Ellie's unforgettable journey in such a dark and gritty world.

The Last of Us Part II Only Playable Character is Ellie

Naughty Dog suggesting that protagonist Joel of the original game will not be a playable character in the sequel.

Critically acclaimed action-adventure survival horror The Last of Us is getting a sequel, which was announced at PlayStation Experience 2016. By the time we witnessed E3 2018, we got to look at some gameplay footage as promised by game director Neil Druckmann. Developers of Naughty Dog has been hinting for some time that Joel from the original game will not be a playable character in The Last of Us Part II anymore and Ellie will take charge from here in the sequel.

RELATED: The Last of Us Part II Gameplay Revealed

After some time, Druckmann also confirmed this theory recently during Sony's E3 2018 press conference. Previously, players were able to take control of both Joel and Ellie in a two-part gameplay but it looks like we are not going to experience anything like that. Now, this leads fans to speculate that the studio is probably killing off Joel's character and they have many reasons to believe that. One of them is Ellie being the sole focus of all the trailers released till date.

RELATED: The Last of Us Part II Announced

Ellie is a teenage survivor of a post-apocalyptic world, who grew under the wings of Joel as a strong female protagonist and they both developed a bond. There is a good reason for Naughty Dog being all secretive about what happened to her guardian angel in this PlayStation 4-exclusive. Perhaps, they just don't want to spoil the story for fans in advance as it can diminish the impact of this twist upon release. Probably this is why; Joel actually appears briefly in one of the early trailers and interacted with her.

Joel Isn’t Playable

RELATED: The Last of Us Part II Premiere Trailer

Our best guess is that he died in between the events of these two games and whatever appearances he makes is some sort of cameo in form of flashback from past. The E3 gameplay reveal trailer hints of him still being around when Jesse talks to Ellie about her "Old-Man", which strongly refers to Joel. However, she then embarks a journey for retribution also suggests that she lost someone beloved to her and maybe she lost him as well as her newly introduced love interest Dina.

RELATED: Shannon Woodward Joins The Last of Us 2

Although Druckmann confirmed Ellie being the only playable character, possibilities of Joel appearing in a later DLC is still in hand. Keeping the dark aesthetic of the series in mind and Joel's phrasing to Ellie in the first trailer as “You really going to go through with this?” instead of saying "We" deeply hints that he is just a ghostly apparition that resides in her mind as she seeks revenge against some group of humans we saw her prey on at the gameplay reveal trailer.

Resident Evil 2 Remake To Include Deleted Concepts

Upcoming Resident Evil 2 Remake will feature unused concept arts and characters from Resident Evil 1.5.

Upcoming remake of survival horror game Resident Evil 2 from Capcom has created a lot of buzz after unloading a brand-new announcement trailer at E3 2018 press conference along with a bunch of still from the project. From what we can tell, this is a whole new game built on the base of the original RE2 and many of the horror elements are redefined. While they are at it, the developers decided to use deleted concept arts and character designs from an early version of the game.

Before it became a horror classic, an early version of the game titled, Resident Evil 1.5 has been worked on to near completion but later got cancelled. The initial plans had the players going back to the destroyed Spencer Mansion and engage in fight with plant-like enemies, a possible boss character blended with Albert Wesker until they came up with the plan of spreading the horror to the outskirts of Raccoon City. Developer team had completed almost 60 percent of this version before it was scrapped.

RELATED: Resident Evil 7 Cloud Version Comes to Nintendo Switch

RE 1.5 at first starred rooky cop Leon Kennedy taking charge but instead of Chris Redfield's street savvy sister Claire Redfield, there was a character named Elza Walker, who was also a college student like Claire. Leon and Elza would have started their journey from being trapped inside Raccoon City police station, whereas the place was for the protagonists to gather information about the outbreak in the original release. Just because the producers thought it was dull, it got reworked.

Despite having some close resemblance to the title, RE2 has some noticeable differences like several enemies including a Human Spider, some weapons like assault rifles and grenades, as well as a totally different design for the RPD building. Elements from Resident Evil 1.5 eventually become resources for modders, who keep recreating the game over the years. By the looks of it, Resident Evil 2 remake will include some of the unused concept like a coat for Ada Wong and a red jacket for Claire Redfield.

RELATED: Resident Evil 7 Hits 5 Million Sales

However, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition will reportedly feature a skin of Elza Walker for Claire and that make sense as they both shares a lot of similarities and traits. It will also allow players to switch between the soundtrack of RE2 Remake and the original game to bring back the retro experience. It was a wise decision back then to redo the whole project as it became an old-school classic but it sure would be nice of them to drop some easter eggs from those days in the remake game.

Resident Evil 2 Remake E3 Gameplay Demo

One of Capcom’s renowned titles Resident Evil 2 is remade in a newly fleshed out, gory image that looks really incredible.

After releasing the first E3 trailer for one of their most anticipating project Resident Evil 2 Remake only two days earlier on E3 2018 press conference, developer/publisher Capcom decides to be generous enough and offer a glimpse at their re-engineered gameplay system for the game. So, they played a live demo of RE2 during PlayStation Live at E3 while discussing what are the changes they did and how it going to redefine the genre of survival horror with this classic title.

The live demo looks pretty incredible, displaying footage from beginning hour at Raccoon City after the outbreak sets all hell loose.

At the showcase, RE2 remake demo opens up with rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy joining for duty and goes inside Raccoon City Police Department looking for clues. While trying to keep the vibe of the original game intact, they tried to get rid of the fixed camera angles and made the zombie killing experience more enjoyable. Newly added third-person viewpoint works a lot like Resident Evil 4. However, maintaining the roots, this game will focus less on shooter aspect akin to later entries to the series.

Even though it is called a remake, the entire game is being rebuilt over the base content of the original but developers are not doing a direct clone. Promises of including new elements of gameplay is what we already know about with building barricades to fend off an incoming horde trying to get you. Restrooms are one of the new additions that RE2 never had before. Things that did not change are the use of knife and scarcity of ammunition to keep players on their toes.

It surely will be a fun experience seeing Raccoon City coming back to life once again, reinvented to instill fear in our hearts and reliving the experience in all-new, all-different view will never be the same.

Catherine: Full Body E3 2018 Trailer

Causing controversy with reveal trailer, Catherine: Full Body E3 2018 trailer seems to have ‘matured’.

Raising eyebrows and questions back in December 2017 upon an announcement for a remake of 2011's puzzle platformer adventure title Catherine, Atlus and Studio Zero has been quiet for some time for their upcoming game Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. E3 2018 brought us so many new reveal of exciting titles from various big-name developers and publishers, which was no exception for Atlus as well and a latest trailer is released for the remake lately.

Since we are way past initial tease, the new E3 trailer focuses more on the story and less on the naughtiness. Still there is some as it is one of the base aspects of this game.

RELATED: Catherine: Full Body Reveals New Catherine

When Full Body was announced and players saw the reveal, everyone learned that there is a third "Catherine" and judged by all the in-game hints came to the conclusion that she is a trans-woman. Although she is not the only trans character in the game, it quickly sparked a lot of criticism from fans and critics. However, Atlus did not clarify that by releasing any official comment and lets it remain as a mystery to find out later. Fortunately, this trailer moves past Rin’s identity.

Already caught in dilemma of having Catherine and Katherine in his life, Vincent Brooks is torn with his feelings and moral decision, where most of the focus of the whole footage was. The love triangle he was tangled in has now become a square now that pianist Rin from the Stray Sheep bar has also fallen for him and it is getting harder keeping track of all these affairs. Then there is characterized sheep, conspiracy, murder, nightmare realm creating a complex puzzle around his life.

Taking note from past backlash, Atlus tactfully avoids the entire topic and tries to intrigue us to this adult adventure by giving glimpses at other features. We think, if there is a twist regarding Rin’s character, it may turn out interesting. The other trans-woman is waitress Erica Anderson from Stray Sheep, where Vincent hangs out with his friends very often. Catherine: Full Body will be released on 2019 America and Europe but we are still missing a specific date.

Destiny 2: Forsaken Story Reveal

In one of E3 2018's most shocking moments, it looks like Bungie has your beloved Hunter Vanguard in some real trouble.

Despite Bungie's online-only multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 being one of the two best-selling games on console alongside another Activision title Call of Duty: WWII, it faced some tough times with the release of "Curse of Osiris" and "Warmind" expansion pack DLC. Now that the third one in line has just announced shortly, fans knew that something is up and they will be let down once again. Unfortunately, they are proven right during Sony's E3 2018 press conference.

His ghost is taken out and then the camera moves around to reveal the return of Prince Uldren Sov holding an Ace of Spades hand cannon to his face. He blasts off the wisecrackin’ Exo on spot and then walks over his body along with his followers.

With that, D2 just killed of one of their most celebrated character from Destiny-verse, which drove players either frustrated or mad over Bungie. In an attempt to bring back players to the game, they decided to raise the stakes more than they ever did. They have introduced the threats of aliens trying to destroy the world before and it worked too but the studio believed taking a fan-favorite personality like Cayde off the board will be so much relatable to players on personal level.

On September 4, Destiny 2: Forsaken is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We hope that Guardians get their hands on Uldren Sov to get their revenge on their fallen comrade and settle scores then.

This freshly out of box gameplay reveal have introduced a lot of villains from Spidey's infamous rogue's gallery and expanded our featured character list for the game. He has been operating as a friendly neighborhood web-slinger in New York City for eight years now and has captured a lot of bad-guys from common thugs, gang members to even major super-villains. Most dangerous among these are locked up in a maximum-security prison facility called RAFT, which is right off the coast of Manhattan.

When a massive breakout takes place and all of the criminals in RAFT get loose, Spider-Man had to go there to check in the situation. He is welcomed by one of his arch-nemesis Electro and then he bumped into Rhino before Scorpion grabs a hold on him. An explosion sets him free but by then Mac Gargan was gone and he is left to deal with all the prisoners. He takes the fight to the rooftop to have a run-in with Mr. Negative and The Vulture. When another of his enemy shows up, he looks surprised and the video ends in a cliffhanger.

A close look at the combat system is explored nicely and we have to give it up for the developers for doing a Spider-Man right even if it is set out of the regular continuity. Web-head acts like he should and he got all those sick moves to land some awesome combos on the baddies. All of the super-villains have revamped version of their costumes now just like our hero and five on them prying upon him one by one was one of the defining aspect of this gameplay video.

The infamous "Sinister Six" gang is most likely to be at play here, because after fighting five of his worst enemies, he saw another coming and exclaims in shock. Our best guess for the sixth villain is Doctor Octopus and we do have our reasons. Doc Ock is not only one of his old nemeses but he also is a founding member of the six. Besides, they were evidently working under someone's instructions and given his status as a mad -genius, we had to presume it was our good old four legged doctor.

It's pretty good seeing our renowned characters from Marvel Universe evolving and Spider-Man games specially getting better with time. The collaboration with Marvel Games have helped them a lot to reach a new peak, because if you mess up a game based on a popular superhero, people will remember it for a long-time. Besides, Spidey is one of Marvel's flagship heroes and also very popular among fans, so there was that pressure as well. We are waiting for September 7 to get our hands on this amazing PlayStation 4-exclusive.
