In an attempt to revive its massive player-base, upcoming free-to-play crossover fighting game MultiVersus was taken offline by developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. last year to include new characters and lot more.
After several months of radio silence, Player First Games has announced a long-awaited return to action this May. Ahead of its most-anticipated release, WB revealed an official launch trailer for MultiVersus and teases what comes next.
A brand-new launch trailer has confirmed new playable fighters and other surprises coming to MultiVersus.
Newly released trailer opens with a brief intro showing a variety of Warner Bros. logo before it cuts to a major brawl. Amidst this chaos, Bugs Bunny fights Finn the Human and Velma Dinkley takes on Batman baddie The Joker with ease.
At one point, Brunhilde variant of Bugs Bunny spawns a safe from air on top of them before he swung a mullet at it, sending it flying above. As the safe hits a nearby water tower, it unloads a couple of items from several notable WB IPs.
Those who looked closely can spot Aquaman's trident, Samurai Jack's katana, Bubbles' favorite Octi plush and so on. Several other background references teases at Green Lantern, Raven and Robin among other famous DC super-heroes.
Nearing end of the launch trailer, The Joker introduces Agent Smith from The Matrix and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th films. WB Games confirms that Jason will be available at launch and Agent Smith joins later for latest Season.

Earlier this month, The Joker was introduced with a bang along with his gameplay movesets to entice Batman fans. Only days ago, Banana Guard from Adventure Time was also confirmed as another playable fighter arriving in Season 1.
MultiVersus will be returning to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms on May 28, 2024. With many fan-favorite characters and new features a new Season 1 will soon be out, titled as "Puns & Villainy".
