Remnant: From the Ashes Coming to Nintendo Switch

Through a surprise announcement during The Game Awards 2022 showcase, developer Gunfire Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing revealed Remnant II for 2023, a sequel to 2019 action role-playing game Remnant: From the Ashes.

Originally launched across PC and consoles, first Remnant game never saw release for Nintendo handheld system till date. A listing on ESRB website previously hinted at a Nintendo Switch port a year ago and has been announced recently.

In a post-apocalyptic Earth, players travel through dimensions to fight an ancient evil known as the Root and save remnants of humanity. Take down enemies and bosses with up to two other players for loots and XP to build your arsenal.

Although portable version is graphically inferior to console ports, players can still experience its highly-praised gameplay. Remnant took inspiration from Dark Souls-style action RPGs with gun- focused combat against otherworldly beasts.

THQ Nordic releases a new official trailer confirming Nintendo Switch launch of Remnant: From the Ashes.

Nintendo Switch owners will be able to purchase digital copies of Remnant or grab it physically from any participating retailers. Switch version publisher Perfect World didn't confirm its retail price and an official release date for fans yet.

Remnant: From the Ashes was expected to be announced for Nintendo Switch around last year but it has skipped over 2021 for some reason. Since its 2019 release, Remnant sold more than 3 million copies on all major platforms globally.
