No Man's Sky May Come to Nintendo Switch

Hello Games studio founder Sean Murray is interested to see No Man's Sky being ported on Nintendo Switch.

Even after having a disappointing launch on PC and PlayStation 4, developer/publisher Hello Games have managed to turn things around with action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky by delivering promised features through series of updates.

Soon, they are about to introduce enhanced multiplayer and VR support in latest major update Beyond for free. Lately, game director/studio founder Sean Murray talked about possible potential of a Nintendo Switch version of NMS.

When asked about a Switch port of their expansive sci-fi game in an interview, Sean Murray had the following to say.

It's super interesting, I love the Switch. We're obviously very focused on what we're doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I'd be interested to see what's possible. But at the moment, we're just very focused on what we're doing right now.

Rather than outright dismissing the idea, Murray interested in seeing a Switch version for No Man's Sky space epic. However, their hands are pretty tight at this moment working on frequently requested features and optimization.

Although many modern-day games may seem too complex for Nintendo handheld hardware, recent Switch port for The Witcher 3 of CD Projekt Red has proved that games with intense visual can run on the console considerably well.

With their small team of developers, Hello Games is tirelessly working on making good on their word and what not. So, they can simply partner-up with another company with resources to handle Nintendo Switch release of NMS on their behalf.

On August 14, Beyond is launching to be available for all No Man's Sky players free of charge and seeing debut of retail disc for PS4 version. Stepping into Switch platform will be good idea for the game since it will gain more audience reach.

No Man's Sky: Beyond Update Announced

No Man's Sky major update Beyond is announced and will come to all available platforms on summer 2019.

Although action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky from developer/publisher Hello Games saw a rocky launch on PC and PlayStation 4 for lack of promised features back in August 2016, they resolved those issues before Xbox One release in July 2018.

A huge part of the gameplay of NMS involves exploration and initially a large number of initial complain from players was that in-game open world universe seemed a bit repetitive but listening to fan community, they fixed most part of that issues.

Following the release of NEXT update last year, Hello Games worked on a roadmap for their future releases. Beyond will roll in every feature that made all three of the past free updates great and would bring in No Man's Sky Online.

Their goal here is to expand social experience to the already existent multiplayer mode that will connect group of players from across worlds to play and interact together. Despite bringing large number of people in one place, it would not be an MMO.

General online elements will be there without anyone having to subscribe to any monthly services, nor there be any sort of micro-transactions and mostly, anyone who owns the game can instantly take part into the fray.

No Man's Sky Getting Multiplayer

No Man’s Sky’s big multiplayer update is finally launches in July to to race, build and dogfight with friends.

One of the main features co-founder of developer studio Hello Games, Sean Murray had announced about their action-adventure survival game No Man’s Sky was multiplayer during pre-launch of the game. However, that was missing upon release and became one of the major causes for a huge backlash from fans. They sure have to keep themselves from making that sort of marketing missteps and in effort to improve the game; they are bringing true multiplayer experience.

no mans sky multiplayer announced
No Man's Sky Getting Multiplayer

You probably know by now that, Hello Games will be bringing the next big update for their 2016's release this summer and it will be released for Xbox One as well. Titled “NEXT”, this update will drop on July 24 with a full-fledged multiplayer mode that may finally bring an end to an era after awaiting two years in hope and feeling betrayed. Looks like the studio is finally up for earning some redemption by delivering what they promised for this space exploration adventure.

Initially failing to provide a lot that they actually had in stores, the game forced UK’s Advertising Standards Authority to investigate on Hello Games and its small team of approximately twelve employees. It was really surprising that even after allying up with a publisher like Sony, they would even try to do that. However, they are occasionally releasing a series of free updates to provide those features that weren't there during release and make amends for all those misleading promises.

Although partial features of multiplayer was already implemented through their third major update “The Atlas Rises”, which was released on the game's one year anniversary, the new announcement by Murray suggests that everything is going to change and more players will be taking part when the real deal comes to play. So, the excitement and fun of base building, surviving and racing together is no longer a far-fetched dream in No Man’s Sky then? Only time will tell.

We have an interview of Sean Murray coming to Inside Xbox web series to announce Multiplayer and the anticipated release date for “NEXT” update.

No Man’s Sky is already available to play on PC and PlayStation 4 and now finally coming to Xbox One along with an enhanced version for Xbox One X. Finally all 18 quintillion planets of the game are coming together very soon and some of the players are still quite skeptical but can you really blame them? We only hope that upcoming fourth major expansion really delivers what they promised and players finally get what they have been waiting for.
