No Man's Sky: The Abyss Update

Hello Games brings a seasonal and free update, The Abyss for No Man's Sky to introduce underwater gameplay.

Though starting with a rocky opening in the beginning, developer/publisher Hello Games has managed to come out of the initial post-launch controversy of their action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky and still trying to do their best to redeem themselves.

Back in July, the game released Next update for everyone, which met with mostly positive response. This week, a brand-new free update for the players that will take the game to underwater worlds and a gameplay focused on that experience.

Within this update 1.7, new content and community missions will be added every week with improvements. Subtle features like players being able to change their body shape or bigger changes like discovery leaderboards to the Galactic Atlas are there.

This really helps community of players to keep track of their progress between factions and Pilgrim motorbike is a fine addition to gameplay along many other developments. Newly introduced aquatic environments have variety of creature types and behaviors.

Abyss update also brings in a new story, The Dreams of the Deep that adds more contexts to world around you. The aquatic life into the deep of ocean is a mix of terrifying and weird creatures that will interact with you as you keep exploring down under.

While diving into the deep, you may come across sunken wrecks or ruins of crash that tells the story of some unfortunate souls, who didn't make it and investigate further to discover hidden treasures long buried beneath these waves.

The terrain manipulator may come in handy to dig out treasures from ocean beds left behind by former owner. Scavenging from abandoned cargo upon finding them inside wrecks can be useful to re-purpose for later as well.

Because undersea world is no central park, you might want to use the submarine called the Nautilon, which is equipped for combat and mining while having a nice navigation system. The best part is that you can summon the vehicle to any ocean on the planet.

When not riding over your exocraft, you can simply park it over to some of those sunken buildings. This submarine is available for customization and installed upgrade will make the craft unique than the others floating around.

Update 1.7 tries to live up to expectation by delivering an immersive world with new aquatic missions in the diversity of underwater flora and fauna. The wide range of lifeforms and sunken ruins you see around really creates right atmosphere for deep sea adventure.
