Mercenaries Saga Chronicles Comes to Nintendo Switch

As soon as the clock hit midnight and it was already 2018 in Japan, CIRCLE Ent. have twitted that they are bringing strategy role-playing series Mercenaries Saga for Nintendo Switch.

Tactical RPG Mercenaries Saga by Japanese developer studio Rideon was primarily out as mobile game which used to rock on Nintendo 3DS console later and there were three installments of the game released so far. Many have considered the Mercenaries Saga series as a worthy descendant of Final Fantasy Tactics. The first game of the series was never released in the Western regions and then came Mercenaries Saga 2, which came out in 2015 on Nintendo 3DS, then eventually on Android and iOS.

The third and final title Mercenaries Saga 3 was released on 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. So, as CIRCLE Ent. is bringing Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, we are getting all three games together much like an anthology. You can also consider the tiles as remaster edition because originally the Mercenaries Saga game series used to run on 240p resolution which is going to be enhanced to a 1080p resolution for Nintendo Switch. So, that definitely bridges the graphical gap between the new take on the game and the predecessor versions.

However, at the moment we cannot say anything about how much the game will cost or there are no official release date announced by CIRCLE Ent. yet. Plus, this time the series is going to see a Western release after all, which will be a great move by the developer and the publishers.
