Fortnite Season 5 Release Date

With their current Season nearing to an end, Epic Games have just confirmed release date of Fortnite Season 5 in a Tweet.

Shortly ahead of its anticipating launch, developer/publisher Epic Games have come forward to announce an official release date for Fortnite Season 5 through a teasing Tweet today. We know now that the newest season of the insanely popular free-to-play Battle Royale game available for all platforms, is only a few days away and this was really nice of them to finally confirm the date which we knew earlier from this month to be July 12, following the end of a thriving Season 4.

Speaking of tease, aside from making the announcement for their next season in the Tweet, developers have left another hint, which is a mask from a crack on screen and is going to break out in-game anytime. Like always, theorist fans are coming up with different ideas and booming up online with suggestions regarding the mask. It looks similar to kitsune or fox in Japanese, which shape-shifts into diverse forms and has supernatural powers according to Japanese yokai folklore.

We are in no position of making any solid meaning of the subtle clue left by Epic Games but this marks to be the first time Japan has been referenced in the game so far. Players have already ventured through history of ancient Egypt, pirate anchors and wooden carriages so far. Possibly themes of Ancient Japan might be explored or there are even chances for a time-travel. At this point, we are just spit balling and waiting for three more days to know what is waiting ahead of us all.

Considering the game is all about building and shooting, shifting forms and appearances may be a hint for introducing stealth, which is just a wild guess from us of course. Lately, the company had been in a beef with PUBG Corporation concerning a lawsuit over copyright violation on last-man-standing shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Since that case has been dropped afterwards, Epic Games is fully back on track with newest Season for their most successful game ever.

Bethesda Sues Westworld Game as Fallout Shelter Ripoff

Bethesda files lawsuit against Warner Bros. over the release of Westworld mobile game, for ripping-off Fallout Shelter.

Last week, a mobile game is released which is based on the popular science fiction western TV series on HBO, Westworld. As soon as it hit Smartphone platform, it is hit by a lawsuit from popular video game publisher Bethesda Softworks for shamelessly ripping off their free-to-play simulation game Fallout Shelter from 2015. They have sued Warner Bros. and developer Behaviour Interactive over this matter, because the latter were involved when both of these titles were being developed.

As a part of post-apocalyptic role-playing Fallout game series, Fallout Shelter puts player into the role of a Vault Overseer, who supervises activities and building for the accommodation of remaining survivors in an irradiated wasteland. Despite being a free-to-play entry in the series, it has micro-transactions and random loot box features that made it a commercial hit, leading its way to other major platforms like Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One afterwards.

RELATED: The Elder Scrolls: Legends to Replace Developers

Canadian studio Behaviour Interactive previously teamed up with Bethesda during the development of Fallout Shelter and they were no stranger to working with licensed video game properties either. When Warner Bros. Entertainment hired them for the new Westworld mobile game, it came out as a copy of Bethesda's game in terms of designs and gameplay. So, wasting no further time, one publisher took it to the court against the company in charge of distribution for Westworld.

RELATED: Fallout 76 E3 Trailer

Accusing the developer for multiple misconducts as breach of contract, copyright violation and stealing trade secrets to others, Bethesda filed a legal suit on June 21. Warner Bros. was also alleged to have influenced the studio for taking this unethical step that lead the publisher some considerable amount of damage. Instead of being coy about it, Bethesda simply calls out the Westworld mobile game a "rip-off” because of the uncanny similarities of art, animations and gameplay.

They points out that there were some bugs in their early game, which they removed later but those same glitches are is still present on the game in question and that is a clear example of the codes being reused. While they are all worked up with newest entry from Fallout series, Fallout 76, Bethesda was just introduced their three-year-old Fallout Shelter on bigger platforms to explore possible financial potential and so they took it pretty seriously after learning of this plagiarism.

Publisher Bethesda swaps original developer Dire Wolf Digital with a new studio for The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Recently, a decision of changing developer team for their free-to-play collectible card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends is made. From 2017, Dire Wolf Digital has been working on the game and making it into what it is today. Starting from this year, the project will be handed over and Sparkypants Studios are the ones who are replacing the original developers. The Wolf Among Us Season 2 Delayed to 2019

Telltale Games is delaying The Wolf Among Us Season 2 to 2019 because of fundamental changes at studio.

Developer Telltale Games have done a splendid job adapting comic-book writer Bill Willingham (Day of Vengeance, Justice Society of America)'s Fables comic book series from DC Comics's Vertigo imprint into one of their epic fantasy interactive episodic graphic adventure. Following the immense success of Season 1, Telltale announced for The Wolf Among Us Season 2 back in July, 2017. It was scheduled to release on 2018 but unfortunately that date is pushed back to 2019 now.

Fans that were eagerly waiting for the latter half of 2018 to see Season 2 of the game probably are a little bit pissed when almost one year after the initial announcement they get to know this shocker! Clearly this should upset many players because we rarely had any follow-up news from the creator studio about its development and now, suddenly out of the blue we get to know that, we should wait another year. That kind of sucks!

RELATED: Telltale’s Walking Dead Collection Announced

Although Telltale have mentioned about the issue recently stating, this inconvenience is totally unintentional and is because of some essential changes since they announced the title last summer. While that doesn't seem like anything big but it can mean that there might be a change of gameplay which will be introduced this time. Plus, they said, the studio will invest this extra time in improving quality and experiment with this project. Does that make any sense to you now?

There is another fact that could possibly be the reason for this delay and it is, the studio laid off 25 percent of their workforce, which is a total of 90 employees. The company responsible for making critically acclaimed games like Game of Thrones, Minecraft and The Walking Dead, has decided to move forward with a smaller team to deliver a fewer but better quality video games in future. Whether or not this restructuring has helped them in their goal, it can be partially responsible for setbacks in their deadline.

Bill Willingham’s award-winning Fables worked out amazingly fine with Telltale Games' unique format of storytelling with The Wolf Among Us. Season 1 comprising five-episode was released back in 2013 for every playable platforms like Android, iOS, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. So, we can only hope that the second Season will probably do the same as well.

This one comes with their weekly update 1.59 and possibly one of the weirdest modes ever. There is no rocket science behind this new mode and it starts just like every other match for every for solo players, because squads or duos are not allowed in this mode. Right after you are dropped into the map, you go out seeking to wipe out your competition while also looking for the Infinity Gauntlet. When you finally find it to claim for yourself, you become Thanos and this one is not just a cool looking skin. Upon becoming The Mad Titan, players will be given 700 health and 300 shields, which are way above than what regular brawlers gets. Thanos Comes to Fortnite!

The Mad Titan Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War is coming to Epic Games' Fortnite for a limited time event for its battle royale mode.

After decimating The Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War movie from Marvel Studios, Thanos is coming to Epic Games' sandbox survival game Fortnite. Both Infinity War and Fortnite have been doing exceptionally well regarding their very own field and almost everyone is hyped up with these two. While the movie is creating history by breaking tons of box-office records, the game itself is also making serious waves in gaming industry. Celebrities like rapper Drake even joined during a live-stream to be part of this modern day pop culture phenomenon. Both are absolutely famous and this crossover just might be the next big thing.

RELATED: Fortnite Made $223 Million Last Month

Though there was not much information to make up what we are about to expect, it appears when a player would eventually find the Infinity Gauntlet, they would then be able to turn into Thanos. Details are not clearly suggesting what players will be allowed to do as the main antagonist for Infinity War but it sure seems like it has something to do with wiping out other players from the field maybe! So, collecting those stones before he does would probably be helpful for survival.

Whatever it presents to us, we will be able to find out very soon as the crossover is going live from tomorrow. Many may speculate that this crossover completely came out of nowhere but turns out, co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo of Avengers: Infinity War is huge fans of this free-to-play game, which they've been playing for the last couple of months. Whenever they got time for a break, they would just jump into it and then it hit them with the idea of Avengers/Fortnite mash up.

Now, this crossover sure came out of nowhere for most people but surprising as it may, this limited time event regarding two most popular franchise of current time is really a treat. Previously, everyone has predicted that the collision would target the Tilted Towers but ultimately, that was not the case. Considering it was a pretty big meteor, there are craters everywhere of the island where players are.

Telltale's Walking Dead: The Final Season Details

Just like all good things should come to an end, Telltale’s The Walking Dead is finally coming to a conclusion this year. Developer Telltale Games has done a fantastic fan-service by adapting creator Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Invincible)'s post-apocalyptic comic book series The Walking Dead from Image Comics into an episodic action-adventure franchise. It is one of Telltale’s most celebrated series much like the television adaptation of AMC’s zombie drama of the same name, which is currently airing its Season 8 on cable TV.

Six years have passed since the series began its journey with series protagonist Clementine and there has been only three seasons so far. She has grown from a little girl who just lost her parents to a seasoned survivor of a zombie apocalypse. Her journey in this walker-infested world is finally coming to an end that started with her guardian angel Lee Everett. We cannot say that she is also following Lee's path towards the end step by step as Melissa Hutchinson returns to voice her character.

Telltale's Walking Dead: The Final Season was first announced back in 2017 during San Diego Comic Con and we only knew that the release is due to 2018. Although there was no official release date to begin with, our guess is that The Final Season may come out this summer or probably in the fall. The time might be closer to some holiday season of 2018. The Walking Dead: Season One was launched on April, Season Two and A New Frontier chose the month of December for their release.

RELATED: Telltale’s Walking Dead Collection Announced

Now, we all know that The Final Season marks the end of Clementine's story and fans are already wondering what would happen to her character then. It was revealed from PAX East panel 2018 that, the chapter will kick off right from the events of A New Frontier but there is a time jump in between. Clementine will be older and mature that she was back then and many things will not be the same as before. Because, the world has already gone to hell after a zombie apocalypse and no one is around to keep everything running.

A post-apocalyptic world means already the end of mankind and society, which only worsens as time passes. So, when the season will start, it will be from a much worse scenario that what we saw in Season Three. Little AJ is still on her care and chances are, she might get into a situation where the kid needs a lot of protecting. Clementine will come across plenty of new characters who would either help in her journey or become enemies. A dog named Rosie will be introduced who would at least make it through the first episode.

RELATED: Walking Dead's Clementine Action Figure Announced

Since, Telltale’s The Walking Dead series is mostly scripted due to its episodic graphic adventure style. Any outcome players' face is from a series of preset choices set in the plot to unfold as they make progress. However, The Final Season is bringing a change to this gameplay mechanics for good. Any typical good zombie game genre should frequently put characters into battle zombies to keep things interesting. So, Telltale decided to include unscripted zombie fights to throw Clementine in danger and make this challenging.

RELATED: Telltale’s Walking Dead Will Follow Comic Timeline

Developers at Telltale Games have also noted that, considering an installment of a series that builds on death and despair, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier was a bit too colorful. By this, they are only hinting that The Final Season will go back to its root and adjust to a more worn-out color palette. AMC has already done it with logo for The Walking Dead TV series gradually following a more decomposing style after each season.

Following the insane success of the free-to-play mobile game Pokémon GO, The Walking Dead is coming soon with the AR technology for their upcoming mobile release The Walking Dead: Our World.

Developer Next Games have dropped a sneak peek gameplay trailer for upcoming The Walking Dead: Our World on YouTube recently.

Those who have already played the predecessor game employing AR technology could immediately relate the similarities between Pokémon GO and The Walking Dead: Our World, well, except for the end of the world part of course. Since the game is based on AMC television series, which means you may bump into Carl Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Glenn Rhee, Rick Grimes or Michonne cleaning up zombie hordes as well as yourself.

Batman: The Enemy Within Have Two Different Endings

One thing fans of Telltale Games would agree without a doubt is that the developer has re-invented if not mastered the point-and-click adventure games of modern times and with each new releases, they prove it time after time. The studio did a great job tinkering with the established folklore of DC Comics' most iconic hero Batman in Batman: The Telltale Series in 2016 and the sequel Batman: The Enemy Within in 2017.

Batman: The Enemy Within is the second season of Telltale's attempt of re-creating the legends of The Dark Knight for gamers. The first season and the already released episodes of season two is doing exceptionally well so far. We all are now waiting for the season finale and it is going to be released on March 27, drawing conclusion to another thrilling chapter of Bruce Wayne/ Batman trying to save Gotham City from the rampant criminal society.

RELATED: Batman: The Enemy Within Episode Five Release Date

The developers and studio is very excited about the final episode as it just doesn't give it a closure but also because this one is the greatest piece of content they have created for the series till date. Telltale's stories are different than any of the stories from DC Universe as they take a unique dig at the saga and the latest twist they added to the list is to create their own version of The Joker.

When he was first discovered by Bruce Wayne in Arkham Asylum as a former patient named John Doe. He didn't become the Clown Prince of Crime back then but his past was anything but clouded. However, he had a deep admiration for Bruce Wayne and just wanted to be his best friend more than anything. He even introduced Bruce to The Pact, a small gang of super-criminals consisting Bane, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze.

RELATED: Batman: The Telltale Series Tie-In Comics "Sins of the Father"

Just because John Doe was way far from becoming The Joker at that point, many actually started rooting for him. It was a very bold move from Telltale to even pitch the idea of this pale skinned and green haired individual having any sort of friendly relationship with Bruce Wayne because of many Batman fans would start ranting about it immediately but all things worked out fine in the end. Instead of beating him up and taking him back to Arkham, players tried to guide him through Bruce's character.

Since one of the nature of episodic graphic adventure games are the ending and many other aspects of a game changes depending on your actions, your approach towards John Doe in The Enemy Within will shape up his character in the endgame. Whether or not you want him to be Harley's boyfriend or bring down his criminal endeavors, it's all up to you. The way you treat him will shape The Joker of tomorrow.

Vigilante or Villain?

The finale episode will reach to a certain point with every loose ends and John Doe will either transform into a Vigilante or Villain. If he turns out evil, then you already know that he is destined to become Batman’s arch-nemesis. The end of their friendship will set him nuts and he will wreck havoc on Gotham. Although, The Joker becoming a vigilante would like to team-up with Batman to eradicate all crime from the city.

As you know that previously made choices will shape-up things for you in Batman: The Enemy Within, a huge turn-of-event awaits the finale depends on how you reaped your steps in the past episodes. We are talking about a twist of the character John Doe, who is destined to become Batman's arch-nemesis The Joker. Based on your actions in prior episodes, John Doe will evolve and whether or not he becomes a problem for Bruce Wayne still remains a question.

We are dropping the official episode description of Batman: The Enemy Within's Season Finale below for you to take a look at.

"What would you choose: a friend whose unhinged approach to justice turns your allies against you, or a sworn enemy who will stop at nothing to see you suffer as your city burns? Based on the relationship you’ve built with John Doe, you'll see one of two very different stories play out. So what’ll it be, Bruce: friend...or foe?"

We believe, John Doe will either become the maniacal Clown Prince of Crime we know him to be or an unlikely ally for Batman/Bruce Wayne that we have never seen before. Telltale already planned out two different ending for the story and developed over 4,500 lines of dialogue for 38 characters from the episode. Amanda Waller of the Agency, Bane, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze may appear in supporting role of the story as well.

With that, Telltale's second season of episodic point-and-click graphic adventure based on The Dark Knight will come to an end. Judging by the very positive reception from the fans, Batman: The Telltale Series is much likely to return with a third season, where we will see the Caped Crusader in more actions and tackle more bad guys.

Fortnite: Battle Royale for Mobile Announced

From 2017, battle royale has become such a trend that almost all major developers are either including or considering introducing a battle royale mode to their video games. One of the games that truly redefined the genre was third person last-man-standing shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds from last year. The only other game that gave PUBG any type of competition was co-op sandbox survival Fortnite's standalone Battle Royale mode.

Even though Fortnite: Battle Royale has done nothing that matches the grade where PUBG has reached, it sure has risen to popularity in comparison to other games like H1Z1: King of the Kill, Last Man Standing and The Culling. Also, they are the ones who introduced their game made it to the consoles before PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and since they did it first, PUBG developer Bluehole couldn't take any legal action.

Fortnite will soon be available on iOS phones and tablets with keeping content and gameplay exactly same as PC and console versions. Epic Games also added that cross play support for Fortnite: Battle Royale on iOS devices will be available as well. That means whether you and your squad are either on iOS, Mac, PC or PlayStation 4, you can all enjoy the experience of battle royale together. While Android debut of the game is still pending, players on Xbox One are not included in this cross play list. This might have something to do with Sony's decision for not joining cross-platform play initiative.

With their fellow business rival Bluehole already bringing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for mobile, it was about time that Epic Games made their right move. Plus, this is an appropriate idea in current times, because when game like Minecraft was ported to mobile, it just gained millions of new players. Many people may think of it as attending to another commercial agenda but if done right, the initiative can be a successor to many upcoming hit-franchises.
