Resident Evil RE: Verse Closed Beta Gameplay Leaked

Days before worldwide reveal during Resident Evil Showcase stream, Resident Evil RE: Verse got leaked by Steam DB as a multiplayer component for upcoming survival horror game Resident Evil: Village by developer/publisher Capcom.

Although an official trailer other than early reveal is yet to be released by Capcom, gameplay footage of RE: Verse are currently available online to take a look at following recent launch of Closed Beta on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Newly surfaced gameplay videos of Resident Evil RE: Verse multiplayer beta shows how these six-player deathmatches are being played out in a five-minute window across a variety of well-known map locations set within RE universe.

In between running into each other playing as Ada Wong, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Hunk, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy, players are to collect virus samples found across the map and will transform into a bio-weapon upon death.

Take a look at new gameplay footage of Resident Evil RE: Verse from Capcom's multiplayer closed beta.

Depending on how many viruses are collected, players would respawn as enemies like Mr. X or Nemesis tyrant, Hunter Gamma, Jack Baker or a fat Molded, each are equipped with movesets that will take you down in a single deadly blow.

Though characters are rendered in cel-shaded graphics filter, you can choose to turn them off from in-game menu. RE: Verse has a lot to improve in terms of gameplay and hopefully, player feedback from ongoing Closed Beta test phase.

Despite many Resident Evil fans are annoyed by Capcom's attempt at creating a battle royale shooter featuring iconic RE characters from even after the failure of Resident Evil: Resistance, some players are really enjoying RE: Verse.

Capcom is very much likely to announce RE: Verse Open Beta soon and reveal more information before releasing Resident Evil: Village on May 7, 2021, for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
