Resident Evil 7 Reportedly to Get Free Next-Gen Upgrade

Fans of iconic survival horror Resident Evil game series are pretty excited for upcoming release of Resident Evil Village by developer/publisher Capcom, which is scheduled to launch for PC and cross-generation of consoles on May 7, 2021.

According to latest report by industry leaker AestheticGamer1, Capcom is currently developing a patch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S version of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, delivering a number of enhancements via next-gen upgrade.

Capcom recently hosted Resident Evil Showcase digital event to make new announcements and revealing brand-new details regarding Resident Evil: Village, including gameplay, story premise, launch date, Collector's Edition and much more.

AestheticGamer1 has revealed on social media that Capcom has worked out a next-gen update for RE7 but whatever enhanced features will be part of it are still unclear and strangely enough, they didn't even mention it during RE Showcase.

Capcom however, added both Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition and 8 in newly introduced Biohazard Complete Bundle for cross-gen hardware. RE: Village is primarily focused for newer generation of console and RE7 is much likely to follow soon.

Resident Evil 7 can get a major facelift from a next-gen patch that is likely to support 60 FPS and 4K resolution on latest consoles. An already horrifying experience of RE7 can be pushed further with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S advanced hardware.
