Marvel Fighting Game and Its Character Roster May Have Leaked

About a year ago, developer NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon started posting a number of movie quotes from Marvel Cinematic Universe on Twitter and fans were theorizing that maybe he is teasing a Marvel-centric project.

Earlier in May, Boon shared a Tweet from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn, adding further fuel to that rumor and today, a leak reveals an expanded character roster for NetherRealm's anticipated Marvel fighting game.

According to newly surfaced leak on imageboard site 4Chan that has now been removed and shared by Reddit user Comicconthrowway, a huge lineup of major Marvel heroes and villains have made it to a roster of rumored fighting game.

If leaks are true then fan-favorite heroes Black Panther, Black Widow, Blade, Captain America, Groot/Rocket Racoon (in a duo character slot), Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine will be joining Marvel's fighting game.

Several other B-listed heroes like Gambit, Gamora, Ghost Rider, Invisible Woman, Moon Knight, Shang- Chi and Venom as well as notable villains such as Abomination, Bullseye, Daken, Doctor Octopus, Mephisto and Mojo will also tag along.

Moreover, everyone's favorite Merc With A Mouth, Deadpool gets added as a pre-order bonus. Cyclops and Daredevil may debut as future DLC fighters while Raiden from Mortal Kombat and Kylo Ren from Star Wars would be guest characters.

Newly leaked Marvel fighting game is "very loosely" based on 2007 story-arc World War Hulk and may feature some costume redesigns. Gameplay style will be very similar to NetherRealm's very own Injustice game series set in DC Universe.

Since all these leaked info has been sourced from 4Chan and are not officially confirmed, fans should take this with a grain of salt. NetherRealm may eventually add MCU-themed alternate skins as post-launch DLC pack following its release.
