Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Extended Gameplay Demo

Respawn reveals an extended version of E3 2019 gameplay demo video for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Though first gameplay footage for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been revealed earlier at E3 2019 event, developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts actually showed an extended cut to press behind closed doors.

Now that E3 press conference is finally wrapped up, Respawn decides to showcase that lengthy segment of Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay walkthrough to public with a 26-minute long video to offer a more in-depth look at challenges and combat system.

Instead of starting his journey by meeting with rebel extremist Saw Gerrera (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), we see protagonist Cal Kestis emerging from a swamp-like location of Kashyyyk after his buddy droid BD-1 sweeps their surrounding for trouble.

He manages to climb his way up on top of an AT-AT walker and after its Stormtrooper guard is blown out, he gets into the combat vehicle. Inside he peeps on a few guards that he dispatched shortly using The Force and his lightsaber.

He sneaks into main cockpit and took control after knocking the pilots unconscious and then we see some vehicle combat mechanics in action. Cal then blasts off another AT-AT by surprise and rain on heavy fire on nearby Imperial establishment.

He eventually met Saw Gerrera after his vehicle crashes and a cut-scene starts where they exchange about why they are on Kashyyyk. Cal came looking for Wookiee general Tarfful and Saw is here to disrupt supply runs of The Empire.

Soon, his mentor Cere Junda and companion Greez Dritus joins them but Saw is skeptical about his claim of being a Jedi. However, they proceed on how to rescue a group of slave Wookiees from that Imperial refinery and campaign is resumed.

Looking for a power source, he came across a giant spider-like creature and a couple of Flame Beetles that was been dealt with. It was from here when we step into E3 2019 demo footage and rest of it just continues as shown earlier.

Considering everything they revealed so far are from alpha stage of development, Fallen Order looks impressive and perhaps one of the best in prospect of other Star Wars games EA made so far upon acquiring franchise license from Disney.

Of course any fans can't help but notice some close similarities gameplay drawn from games like Shadow of the Colossus and Uncharted at times but all are hoping that it somehow works and not become another generic title for cheap cash grab.

In his quest to become a Jedi, Cal Kestis reaches on Wookiee planet Kashyyyk with his Buddy Droid-1 to meet with rebel extremist Saw Gerrera (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and takes on a mission to rescue a group of Wookiees.

Set in third-person perspective, he immediately is on his way by Force-pull a metal door and engages Imperial Stormtroopers nearby with his lightsaber. Cal can perform double-jump, use Force to push or pull enemies and objects to his will.

He pulled a Stormtrooper from his position to impale with lightsaber and then threw it like a projectile that came bouncing back like a boomerang. Cal even came across what seems as an Inquisitor, who probably served as a sub-boss character.

Apparently, lightsabers are used for couple of tricks and they are used more efficiently for melee combat. Players can unlock newer abilities through an experience system and skill tree aside from often being assisted by companion droid BD-1.

Respawn will reveal gameplay video of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at EA Play and E3 2019 on next month.

After making its most anticipating reveal back at Star Wars Celebration 2019, developer Respawn Entertainment announced upcoming single-player Star Wars action-adventure game Jedi: Fallen Order will be out on November 15, 2019.

Although fan-response towards Fallen Order was quite positive in general, no gameplay footage has been shown in the reveal trailer and CEO Vince Zampella recently announced to showcase more of the game at EA Play and E3 2019.

Despite publisher Electronic Arts telling everyone that they would not feature any loot boxes or micro-transactions and entire game will be focused on a single player campaign, people simply can't take their word at face value given their past records.

Since publisher EA has horribly failed to meet expectation with Star Wars Battlefront II and then cancelled development for Star Wars game titled "Project Ragtag" in past, all are anticipating for Jedi: Fallen Order with high hopes.

By next month, eager fans and players would all have their much expected exclusive first-look at some actual gameplay to get hyped for and Respawn has confirmed showing up at two events then in a post on Twitter.

Keeping a low profile, Cal socializes and avoids detection from scouting Stormtroopers but life eventually brings him to a situation where he had to choose between saving a life by using the Force and blow up his cover or letting someone he know, die.

Inadvertently, he crosses paths with Second Sister Inquisitor and tried to run unsuccessfully as we see him being chased down Imperial army. Although help came along as some rebel force and he picks up a broken lightsaber seen from first teaser image.

EA Cancelled BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic Sequel

BioWare has repeatedly tried to revive Knights of the Old Republic series and failed to do so because of EA.

Based on the mythos of Star Wars fantasy universe, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was a joint effort of making a role-playing game by developer BioWare and publisher Lucas Arts back in 2003 that many fans cherishes till date.

This critically acclaimed title received a sequel next year from Obsidian Entertainment and multiple attempts from the original developer to bring a third game was unsuccessful because apparently, Electronic Arts will not allow that to happen anytime soon.

Of course, KOTOR didn't have high quality graphics like any of the modern day titles nor had exquisite multiplayer features, the RPG offered people to make plot decisions. Most importantly, it was free from the corporate greed that players know as micro-transactions.

The game took place 4,000 years before the formation of Galactic Empire where you, as a Jedi would venture through galaxy to defeat an assembled Sith army of Darth Malak while also choosing an alignment with light or dark side of the Force.

Both of these titles were not part of Star Wars canon anymore when Disney took over the franchise but later, Season 4 of Star Wars Rebels animated series made the lore relevant again by making reference of events taking place during KOTOR.

BioWare later released an MMORPG titled Star Wars: The Old Republic in 2011 to continue the series and fans have heard about a lot of rumor from 2017 of rebooting the series but all of them were eventually shot down with no hopes for revival.

In response to a fan hoping for a reboot or sequel, renowned video game journalist Jason Schreier revealed the true scenario in a Tweet.

Although EA has exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games after they made a deal with Disney, all they did for the last few years is cancelled more games than they released. In their latest venture, they managed to heavily enrage the fans with Star Wars Battlefront II loot box controversy.

When they recently cancelled an open-world game code-named "Ragtag" being developed under Visceral Games, Rogue One co-writer Gary Whitta simply states that Disney should pull the plug on their Star Wars license deal with EA and be done with it.

According to Schreier, EA has shot down multiple attempts from the developers of Knights of the Old Republic to revive the series aside from canning several other Star Wars projects from some of their acquired studios to rush other games.

With their current development philosophy and games-as-service approach, EA is burning cash and shoving beloved game franchises to drain for no good reason. Seeing their recent behavior, we have good reasons to believe that they have been corrupted by the Dark Side.

Rogue One Writer Wants Disney to Replace EA for Star Wars Games

Co-writer of Rogue One, Gary Whitta believes Disney should pull the plug on their Star Wars license deal with Electronic Arts.

Fans of Star Wars franchise doesn't take any mishandling to their beloved franchise kindly and the way video game publisher Electronic Arts has been treating the licensed properties they received rights to from Disney are absolutely infuriating for anyone who loves them.

Avid video game fan and screenwriter Gary Whitta (After Earth, The Book of Eli), who is widely known for his involvement in story development for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story joins host Greg Miller in the daily podcast of Kinda Funny Games to talk about that.

We are in 2019 and by now, all we have so far is just two installments out of their Star Wars Battlefront series. What we should also take to account is that their greedy approach to include loot boxes within the game has caused major backlash for Star Wars Battlefront II.

In their next insane move, EA went ahead and cancelled an ongoing project code-named "Ragtag" by Visceral, an open-world game from the known franchise. Seeing all these catastrophic action, we have a bad feeling about the fate of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Like any other rational fans of Star Wars, Gary Whitta thinks this is embarrassing and Disney should pull the plug on their deal to take away their license from EA if there is any way for them even though they are only half-way through.

Although he has faith on the upcoming third-person Star Wars game that Respawn has been working on, he really cannot rely on their decision making process after seeing them cancelling project Ragtag that was essentially a "Star Wars Uncharted" game.

Of course Whitta doesn't voice his concern about the situation from a position of power, neither does he takes business decisions for them but his obvious frustration over their repeated failure is something that the fans can clearly relate to.

As a media giant, Disney should care for the franchise by cutting all ties to the publisher and explore other options for the sake of their own reputation. Obviously, there are many other established and indie studios capable of doing justice to Star Wars.

Back in June, developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts decided to include new content for the game related to Clone Wars, which essentially bridges the three years gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith movie.

The four voice actors from the original series; James Arnold Taylor, Matt Lanter, Corey Burton and Matthew Wood would return to voice for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku and General Grievous respectively in the Clone Wars DLC.

If you have looked at the track record of Star Wars Battlefront II, then you already know that the game received heavy backlash even before the release for including loot boxes and micro-transactions, which even caused their stock price to drop.

Including a Clone Wars DLC featuring the original voice casts from the TV show not only brings new level of detail to the game but also intensifies the hype (Darth Vader's heavy breathing sound) of the upcoming season that still awaits an official release date.
