Elden Ring Gameplay Preview Revealed

Earlier last month, upcoming action role-playing game Elden Ring by developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has delayed its release by month and announced a Closed Network Test set for November 2021.

From Software recently revealed showcasing an extended look at Elden Ring gameplay today as it focuses on fundamental mechanics. Also, a Collector's Edition has been confirmed, which was accidentally leaked earlier in a Twitch advert.

Bandai Namco and From Software premiered a 19-minute preview footage showing Elden Ring gameplay.

Elden Ring gameplay preview begins from a brief sequence that was leaked on social media last month and was taken down. Today's video shows player character "The Tarnished" begins their adventure in Lands Between, on Spirit Steed.

From Software offers a glimpse at Site of Grace for a moment, which is a resting place for player and often shows a guiding light. However, it is entirely up to them to follow that path or choose a completely different direction on the map.

While riding through open-world of Lands Between, player is confronted by a dragon-like beast and immediately, a battle ensues. Despite exchanging blows, engulfing rain of fire, spirit arrows and lot more, there was still no clear winner.

Elden Ring introduces a few noticeable improvements since Dark Souls by adding ability to jump to places even without mounts. You can mark in-game map with symbols or use beacons, much like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

A lot of what From Software has shown today was already revealed back in August 2021 during Gamescom 2021 digital event. Many of these gameplay mechanics will be available for limited time Closed Network Test coming next week.

Elden Ring is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022. Bandai Namco also launches a Collector's Edition for retail stores and Digital Deluxe Edition for various online storefronts.
