One of primary concern pointed out by players are character movement and then transition to player action response has smoothed out. These changes are focused on combo and evading but none of them will affect your core gameplay.

Enemy attacks are improved in terms of animation and their SFX timing in general with more reactions added for them now. In trial edition, they will give a flinch reaction whenever they are hit with a heavy attack or knockdown.

However, small damage will bring slight flinch reaction from them without their attack flow being interrupted in case of retail version. Newly reworked enemy reactions will now feel better than before in each dealt attack.

Developers tried better defining your status doing exploration or fighting and some UI adjustments were made. Players will get a better in-game perspective and sense of distance due to recent adjustment in camera behavior.

LNII follows story of a new character named Mono, a young boy who will be joined by original protagonist Six. These two will journey to a Signal Tower that has distorted their surrounding world with its humming transmission.

Given how Little Nightmares had players confined within indoor environments and then a lot of venturing to outdoor locations happening in sequel, it is easy to assume that LNII is likely to be bigger than the Maw from first game.

When you are going through a hostile area and come across some menacing enemies, stealth is a best approach for survival. Of course, there are some combat mechanics but they are mostly for self-defense purpose and to save Six.

The announcement trailer is more of a teaser that invites us to step into its same old creepy and dark atmosphere once again. Other than that, it doesn't reveal much to audience in terms of plot premise or gameplay features.

Little Nightmares II senior narrative designer, Dave Mervik stated to include an extra layer of complexity to puzzle solving and enemy encounters and we still have a lot to learn about the game until it finally launches next year.

Take turns in Man of Medan multiplayer modes; Shared Story and Movie Night to experience a new level of narrative twist.

You can engage in a two-player online play in Shared Story mode where each of you controls a different in-game character but whatever choices you end up making, it will eventually affect you both and that is an intense ride for sure.

Both of your characters can appear on screen at the same time and even explore same area or engage in a conversation. Though you can have your plans ready but they will probably become useless by wave of consequence for your choices.

However, there are times when such unexpected situation can work on your favor and often times it may not. You and your partner may come up with a bright idea but it may actually cause trouble or a foolish mistake may aid you at a later point.

Things will go a bit different in Movie Night mode that is more like a local co-op gameplay consisting five people. Each player can select their character and then pass on control whenever the game focuses on that character.

At times, the game will let you know how each of you is doing so far to stay alive and it is a collaborative way of enjoying the narrative together, which quickly shifts in so many dramatic ways that you would often forget what to make of them.

Everyone among your group may have a better idea on their head but whether or not they would work is something you won't know only until you implement them in action and it opens up door for so many outcomes no one ever thought of.

Aspects that worked well for Until Dawn are improved to provide better feel of suspense with new level of tensions in a horror journey. Players would be able to relate to involved characters more because of impactful choices they will make.

Elden Ring Announced

Created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin, fantasy action RPG game Elden Ring is announced by From Software at E3 2019.

Long after a rumor of an epic collaboration between Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin spread out, their upcoming project Elden Ring has finally been announced at Xbox E3 2019 briefing.

This much hyped action role-playing game by developer From Software is seemingly to become a spiritual successor to Dark Souls. Recently, a brand-new trailer launches portraying similar dark and ominous tones of their past games.

A cinematic teaser of a very mysterious plotline for the game only gives away shade of another fantasy saga.

The trailer opens up showing an unknown figure who is presumably a divine blacksmith of some sort and repeatedly hitting a shiny object with a hammer like tool. With each impact, his body is cracked a little more and he collapses after a final blow.

A person wearing a crown holds up a severed arm of another by partially wearing it and six creepy looking hands approaches from darkness. They slowly proceed to uplift the bearer to light when the severed arm suddenly moves.

RELATED: Gears 5 Release Date

A red-haired female warrior prepares for an oncoming battle by attaching a prosthetic arm. We then see a knight in armor swiftly stabs a hulking enemy with a spear, which led to sky turning fiery red and the defeated opponent set ablaze in flames.

While these events all run in parallel, legend of Elden Ring is described by an unseen narrator as an artifact of unimaginable power that could command stars and beyond but now, someone or something has unleashed an unthinkable disaster by breaking it.

RELATED: Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date

Early leaks and rumors had it that creators have taken some inspiration from Celtic and Norse mythology during its build up. Players are supposed to roam from different kingdoms to take out their ruler in quest of acquiring their power.

Opening shots of a cut off arm could be some form of ritual and a battle scene with red sky may be from aspects of confronting those monarch figures. Although confirmed to be an open-world game, there would be significant focus on RPG elements.

RELATED: Bleeding Edge Announced

Expressing his excitement of working with creator of Dark Souls and From Software studio, George R.R. Martin stated the following.

Building the world of Elden Ring with Miyazaki-san and his team was a treat! The graphics, mythos, and action-RPG gameplay will deliver an unforgettable experience. I can't wait for people to see what Elden Ring has in store for them.

RELATED: Doom Eternal Release Date

Hidetaka Miyazaki will be serving as game director and he revealed that development for the game started as soon as they were done with DLC expansions for Dark Souls III, meaning development is ongoing for past two years.

Elden Ring is currently set to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms and though no official release date has been confirmed by developer From Software or publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment just yet, it may arrive sometime in early 2020.

George R.R. Martin Hints at From Software Collaboration Rumor

Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin rumored to be in collaboration with From Software for a Souls-like game.

You can easily tell that after launching Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, developer From Software is already up to their next project. Reports say that two unannounced projects are currently at works other than Dark Souls: Remastered and Metal Wolf Chaos XD.

Also, now that HBO's fantasy drama TV show Game of Thrones series finale is aired, what would author George R. R. Martin be doing next? Could he get involved in collaboration with the popular Japanese studio for a brand-new video game?

George R.R. Martin Hints at From Software Collaboration Rumor

REVEALED: Quadriplegic Gamer Proves Sekiro Needs No Easy Mode

According to a recent Blog post, aside from writing the final two books of Game of Thrones and busy being a producer to five other TV shows, Martin recently has consulted on a video game out of Japan, possibly teasing an early rumor.

Although he is well versed in great world-building elements like dark storytelling and creating fictional kingdoms with dragons in it, it is highly unlikely for next From Software game to be another sequel to Souls franchise.

REVEALED: Player Beats Sekiro All Bosses, No-Hit

In an interview from 2016, Dark Souls series director and From Software president, Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed that there are no plans for a sequel and even if there was one, it would take at least 5 years for them to start developing it.

Reports also say that, this upcoming IP has been in development for nearly three years now and is being referred as "GR". It is likely to be an open-world game that has features like horse riding and would be published by Bandai Namco.

REVEALED: Sekiro is Biggest Steam Game of Q1 2019

Could it be Bloodborne 2 or maybe a sequel to Sekiro? The latter has enough potential to carry out its legacy by itself. Or maybe studio stuffs are calling it "GR" by taking first two initials from Martin's name because of his involvement?

Given how Sekiro got a full title reveal at E3 2018 before releasing earlier this year, we probably can expect a reveal for this upcoming project at E3 2019 press conference on June 9, which is only a few weeks away from now.

Square Enix has accidentally confirmed PC version of Octopath Traveler after a Korean rating has teased it earlier.

While working on Octopath Traveler for Nintendo Switch, developer Square Enix might have never thought of what a phenomenon it would become but players on other platform could never have that experience because of Switch exclusivity.

However, a Korean game rating for a PC version of the game was spotted online last week, which clearly hints at launch of a possible port and that theory is confirmed recently, according to a now-deleted official blog post.

Devs Wants Cuphead and Mugman in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Developers of StudioMDHR are hoping to see Cuphead characters to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Video game director Masahiro Sakurai hit a new high score with his iconic crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which became the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game of all time by selling over 12 million copies within a month.

Assembling a wide array of fighters into its roster from various different franchises, the game is also bringing more characters for their upcoming DLC releases and most recently, Cuphead developers expressed wishes to see their characters in it as well.

Lately at GDC 2019, game designer and director Jared Moldenhauer expressed his heart's desire to Kirk Scott, manager of publisher and developer relations for Nintendo during a discussion following Nindies Showcase Spring 2019.

I've dreamed of Smash Bros. (Cuphead and Mugman) belong in there. So basically if fans want it, I couldn't see how Nintendo wouldn't want the fans to get what they wanted. I think they would because they support their fans a lot. So if Nintendo was keeping their fans happy, then I'd be more than pleased to make that the easiest transition. Just a piece of paper, we don't need anything. You can have those characters make an appearance.

Moldenhauer revealed that he would love to see Cuphead and Mugman go up against iconic Ice Climbers duos in SSBU from the legendary retro NES era, because it would be an interesting butting heads in a two versus two that every fan deserves.

If anyone would have suggested something like this a few months prior, the idea would be laughed off immediately but now that indie favorite Cuphead from developer/publisher StudioMDHR is heading over to Switch, it doesn't seem that far-fetched after all.

It is only days past an official announcement for the acclaimed run and gun title that is coming to Nintendo Switch handheld consoles in April 2019, which previously was an exclusive to Microsoft platforms ever since it released back in September 2017.

Since upcoming Fighters Pass of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by developer Bandai Namco Studios and publisher Nintendo already rumored to feature Steve from Minecraft and Master Chief from Halo franchise, Cuphead brothers would make a fine addition in SSBU for sure.
