Capcom calls Project Resistance a 1v4 asymmetric online survival horror experience that pits four among five players in a game of cat and mouse chase as survivors to stay alive against all odds and is still set in Resident Evil universe.

A mystery man from first teaser video who looked awfully similar to Albert Wesker is actually a new guy named Daniel Fabron. Four young survivors are Samuel Jordan, January Van Sant, Valerie Harmon and Tyrone Henry.

Each of them are specialized in different skills be it hacking, healing, melee attack or even reducing damage. Using their variety of skills with proper teamwork, players can defeat those bio-weapons set loose on them and escape.

There are specific objectives to complete before moving onto a new area and working together helps you find items or solve puzzles. If your teammate is injured, they can be revived but if not, they will die and respawn to kill valuable time.

One of them playing as Mastermind will summon monstrous creatures to hunt them, set traps or manipulate surrounding environment while tracking them using security cameras and those four will have to survive using their own special skills.

If deemed necessary, Mastermind can even take direct control of any zombies or even the Tyrant named Mr. X to stop them. Survivors can only win by making an escape though tackling all obstacles thrown at them before time runs out.

An ancient cosmic being that has been preying on youngsters from small town of Derry for long has returned with the release of It: Chapter Two and has now swapped places with T-00 model Tyrant, who is commonly referred as Mr. X.

Surprisingly, Stephen King's It character nicely fits into his boots and follows the same routine of chasing you through halls of R.P.D. building while a creepy circus music plays in background and punching you down when close.

This Tyrant boss is already a pretty scary enemy with seemingly no weakness to bullets or other melee weapons; now wearing skin of a creature that gives everyone nightmares has made the relentless pursuer even scarier than before.

Not only does he have a terrifying presence, you have to run from the killer clown since you can't really kill it. Previously, reference of Pennywise was found in an Easter egg on Far Cry 5 and on recent beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Capcom to reveal new Resident Evil game titled "Project Resistance" ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019.

Earlier this month, developer/publisher Capcom invited U.S. based testers for a new game from their popular survival horror series Resident Evil without hinting whether it is a remake of Resident Evil 3 or just Resident Evil 8.

After launching an official teaser website recently, Capcom announces to reveal a new Resident Evil project titled Project Resistance for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 9, shortly before Tokyo Game Show 2019.

On set date for next month, they will premiere the trailer at 8:00 AM PDT and attendees will be able to view it on Capcom booth. For Japan only, interested individuals will be given chance to test playing but would require early registrations.

Information on Project Resistance is pretty scarce and yet a Reddit user was able to grab a few thumbnails from a YouTube livestream link that are claimed to be from upcoming teaser trailer but they are not large enough to get a clear visual.

Twitter user Nibel has managed to get those screenshots and then posted them later on social media.

Aside from these stills being taken from a live-action video, all we can guess for now is that it will most probably be a four player co-op multiplayer game like Left 4 Dead and maybe a spin-off title like Resident Evil Outbreak from 2003.

Capcom has not cleared out anything about Project Resistance and given how Resident Evil has become their best-selling franchise by shipping 90 million units so far, maybe they are trying out something new other than survival horror genre.

Capcom May Have Teased Devil May Cry 6

During a recent panel at 2019 Anime Festival Orlando, Capcom may have secretly teased Devil May Cry 6.

According to recent financial earnings report, Capcom made double profits in first quarter of 2019, major credit for that goes to action-adventure hack and slash game Devil May Cry 5 and survival horror classic Resident Evil 2 Remake.

On a recent behind-closed-doors event at 2019 Anime Festival Orlando, official announcement regarding Devil May Cry series was made by DMC5 voice actors that may eventually turn out to be a first reveal for Devil May Cry 6.

Attending a recent panel, voice actor Reuben Langdon who plays Dante asks everyone present to put their phones away before revealing an exclusive footage from Capcom to audience nearing the end of their conversation (45: 12).

It was something related to DMC franchise that is planned to be officially revealed very soon but Langdon was given permission by publisher to unveil an early peak for attendees of their panel before they stopped filming it.

Afterwards, it was posted by Daniel Southworth on his Facebook page, who played role of Vergil in Devil May Cry 5.

Turns out, whatever they showed were cut off before at that point and everyone there may be under a non-disclosure agreement, which will not allow them to leak any major secret without facing some legal consequences from Capcom.

Considering DMC5 marks a long-awaited return to a beloved action series that sold over 2 million copies within first two weeks and has been out for six months already, Capcom teasing a potential sequel right now makes all kind of sense.

RELATED: Devil May Cry Animated Series Confirmed

Also given that the game will not be receiving any more DLCs following release of its last update Bloody Palace, possibilities for a Devil May Cry 6 announcement or something new related to DMC series would not seem out of place.

Capcom would most likely to keep current momentum the franchise have picked up this year by returning after a while and we might expect to get some exciting news regarding a follow-up sequel at Gamescom 2019 next week.
