Hades saw launch on Epic Store as one of their major exclusive title from creators of acclaimed indie games like Bastion and Transistor. Players who are familiar with those games can easily relate to some of their core aesthetics.

Developers are working pretty closely with player community in terms of balancing issues, bug fixes and those feedbacks clearly reflects on six major updates that the team has rolled out so far, almost doubling its overall content.

Based on popular Greek myth, players assume the role of immortal prince of Underworld, Zagreus to hack and slash your way out of his clutches. During this quest, he receives powerful Boons from Olympian deities to boost his abilities.

Though you have support from Mount Olympus, making it out of Hell will be still quite hard even with magic powers that Zag wields. You would come across enemies to challenge your skills but you can pet the Hell dog, Cerberus to relieve stress.

Early Access games often heavily rely on player support and therefore, Supergiant Games will giveaway digital copy of original soundtracks of the game as complimentary bonus to anyone who will purchase it before October 15.

Supergiant has been adding new enemies, levels, weapons and more with regular monthly content updates from very beginning. Still in development, Hades is currently expecting to leave Early Access by second half of 2020.

Dead Island 2 in Development by Dambuster Studios

Dead Island 2 is not dead yet as developer Dambuster Studios will continue working on the long-delayed zombie game.

Although 2011 survival horror game Dead Island was successful enough to release a stand-alone expansion Dead Island: Riptide and spin-off Escape Dead Island, it never saw release of its officially announced sequel, Dead Island 2.

After it was confirmed back in 2014, it has been five years in development and contrary to what many believes, the game is not cancelled yet. In fact, publisher Deep Silver has now handed over the project to internal developer Dambuster Studios.

In a recent investment report shared by THQ Nordic, it was finally revealed that long-delayed 2011 zombie game sequel is now handed over to new studios Dambuster after Sumo Digital has wrapped up their part on the project.

However, it was not clear how much progress they made so far throughout 2016 to 2019 but they assured not to act as a support studio for current developer since they have already concluded work on it before a planned transition.

Polish video game developer/publisher Techland came on board at first but then they shift focus to Dying Light franchise. German based Yager Development was put in charge when they made a pitch to Deep Silver in 2012.

With a targeted Q2 2015 release window, Dead Island 2 was revealed at E3 2014 and a gameplay video was dropped on Gamescom 2014. Then UK-based Sumo Digital has taken over when Yager backed out from the game in 2015.

Dambuster has previously worked on first-person shooter title Homefront: The Revolution under publisher Deep Silver. Their current zombie-killing action will be launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with no set release date.

THQ Nordic is reportedly working on a new Saints Row game alongside Volition in parallel to a brand-new IP by developer Fishlabs. Also, TimeSplitters series co-creator Steve Ellis is making a return to make plans for its upcoming future.

As of July 2018, official Twitter account for Dead Island still insisted that their long-anticipated sequel is still in development and most recently, THQ Nordic has backed that claim after assigning Dambuster Studios as its newest developer.

Following unfortunate departure of Sumo Digital and Yager Development, the game has now found its third developer. We only hope that Dead Island 2 find its charm the third time and become a worthy sequel to its 2011 predecessor.

Capcom May Have Teased Devil May Cry 6

During a recent panel at 2019 Anime Festival Orlando, Capcom may have secretly teased Devil May Cry 6.

According to recent financial earnings report, Capcom made double profits in first quarter of 2019, major credit for that goes to action-adventure hack and slash game Devil May Cry 5 and survival horror classic Resident Evil 2 Remake.

On a recent behind-closed-doors event at 2019 Anime Festival Orlando, official announcement regarding Devil May Cry series was made by DMC5 voice actors that may eventually turn out to be a first reveal for Devil May Cry 6.

Attending a recent panel, voice actor Reuben Langdon who plays Dante asks everyone present to put their phones away before revealing an exclusive footage from Capcom to audience nearing the end of their conversation (45: 12).

It was something related to DMC franchise that is planned to be officially revealed very soon but Langdon was given permission by publisher to unveil an early peak for attendees of their panel before they stopped filming it.

Afterwards, it was posted by Daniel Southworth on his Facebook page, who played role of Vergil in Devil May Cry 5.

Turns out, whatever they showed were cut off before at that point and everyone there may be under a non-disclosure agreement, which will not allow them to leak any major secret without facing some legal consequences from Capcom.

Considering DMC5 marks a long-awaited return to a beloved action series that sold over 2 million copies within first two weeks and has been out for six months already, Capcom teasing a potential sequel right now makes all kind of sense.

Also given that the game will not be receiving any more DLCs following release of its last update Bloody Palace, possibilities for a Devil May Cry 6 announcement or something new related to DMC series would not seem out of place.

Capcom would most likely to keep current momentum the franchise have picked up this year by returning after a while and we might expect to get some exciting news regarding a follow-up sequel at Gamescom 2019 next week.
