Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Full Nudity

Because it is reflecting of their theme, Cyberpunk 2077 will not have censorship as it defines the genre of the game.

Long since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developer studio CD Projekt Red has been busy with their upcoming role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, which was announced in May 2012, then dropped a teaser trailer next year and at E3 2018, they have finally revealed another trailer with a release date yet to be set. They have displayed over a 50 minutes long gameplay demo to the audience present to show them various features of the game and to make a statement.

cyberpunk 2077 will feature full nudity
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Full Nudity

Obviously, the demo was clearly impressive and the people there is reminded their capability as a studio. However, at point of the presentation, there were some giggles in the crowd for a certain reason. The game has a character creation system where you can customize face, hairstyles and even sex, which have both male and female figures on a blue mock-up background. Although the models were completely nude, their genital parts were pixelated with noise.

Maybe some members from the spectators giggled because they were either shocked by nudity or uncomfortable with the subject. Some of them perhaps wondered why censoring the human form in a video game but game director Adam Badowski thought it was very necessary. For the E3 presentation, they decided to censor nudity as a tactical move by the developer team. CD Projekt Red didn't want people to think that they have used nudity in video games for some shock value.

cyberpunk 2077 gameplay pc
Hottest Tech In Town

When the full game will be released, there will not be any pixelated area or digital noise over the bodies but for the E3 conference, they simply wanted the international press over there not making a huge deal about male or female sexuality. Also, they wanted to keep the public reaction to a giggle and not bursting into laughter. Badowski believes, nakedness is normal and makes it all believable, which is why they included it. It's not something special and there is no other reason for them to go with it.

One of the most important themes for the game Cyberpunk 2077 is transhumanism and their inclusion of full nudity in it actually supports the belief. It is the idea that humanity can rise above their mental and physical state with technological enhancements. The entire game is about to let the players experience how that feeling is and bareness is just part of a puzzle piece that makes it whole along with many other aspects. Showing body parts are necessary because they play a big role in the setting.

cyberpunk 2077 nudity transhumanism
Transcend Above Current Form

There is a sequence, where your job is to rescue a kidnapped woman and you learn a brutal truth that she was not taken because of a demand of ransom. Her captors were planning to chop her to pieces so that they can collect high-tech implants within her body to sell them on black market. Upon defeating the crooks, you discover her body in a bathtub full of ice with another naked NPC. The player must bring her outside for the paramedics to take a look at her ASAP.

In the futuristic Night City, everyone wants or needs augmented parts for their body and meat or not, body parts are shown for that reason. Some of them are so much augmented that there is a little of humanity left in them or maybe none. So, people do not need to feel awkward about that as it is the nature of the genre. CD Projekt Red still hasn't announced a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 which will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

HitRecord on Beyond Good & Evil 2 #nospec Backlash

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s collaboration organization HitRecord is teaming up with Ubisoft but some people skeptical of the idea.

Just like many other exclusive news from E3 2018 press conference has gotten us excited, developer studio Ubisoft had a couple of them in their fold. Teaming up with an online collaborative production company HitRecord owned by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt for their upcoming action-adventure game Beyond Good & Evil 2 have all the enthusiastic fans thrilled for a rare chance of contributing to this project but this also invokes criticism from many industry professionals.

hitrecord beyond good and evil 2 nospec backlash
HitRecord on Beyond Good & Evil 2 #nospec Backlash

During the discussion, fans are asked to participate creating art assets and making music that will be used in the actual game. This use of fan-made assets has some amateurs and professionals of the art community concerned over the issue of payment. While Gordon and Ubisoft allowed artists and musicians to take part and showcase their talent, people were commenting on whether or not they are getting paid for using their work as it was omitted in the initial announcement.

Seeing everyone making remarks over the matter, Gordon almost immediately took Twitter to clear out things and their intention of paying the patron.

Assuring that each backer would get paid whenever their work used for the game would earn money from it did not really cleared out the frustration that came out from many specialized individuals. He cleared out that his platform is not for industry professionals to earn a living from and they just don't pay in crumbs. Depending on their amount of input for the finished product, some of those benefactors earn in hundreds and some even ends up making tens of thousands for their effort.

HitRecord's partnering up with Ubisoft for Beyond Good and Evil 2 is not just another regular collaboration project. It opens up a new door of opportunity for the contributors to be involved in certain parts of the game and get paid a kind of compensation from a budget sum of $50,000. It will be spread among everyone who has their work included in the completed game. However, for a multibillion-dollar publisher like Ubisoft, that amount is relatively small for a project like this.

joseph gordon levitt e3 hitrecord ubisoft
Joseph Gordon-Levitt at E3

This ridiculous payment sum clearly points out that both companies are not looking to hire anyone but get a work done by the involvement of group of community artists and that is where many professionals have a problem. This program seemingly looks an awful lot like "spec work" or "speculative work", where an artist works on a project which may or may not earn him a payment. A lot of big-name companies try to rip-off artists with this absurd practice and concerned artists are against this initiative.

The following video is a fine example from Canadian design agency Zulu Alpha Kilo on how "spec work" is totally unacceptable and absurd.

It's been quite long that a lot of agencies and individual professionals have taken a stand against this irrationality and some of them are even using the #nospec hashtag on social media as well. Though in most cases, companies don't give you any form of control over your own original work, Gordon-Levitt's HitRecord works on how to monetize it and give you a cut under a non-exclusive license. The content creator reserves the full right to do whatever they please with it or however they use it.

That actually makes things trickier, because despite you owning the rights to your contribution, the end work is a result of many collaborators and produces a unique product which they have the right to sell. The $50,000 esteemed budget is for music and visuals of nine categories for BGE2 has already amassed more than three thousand submissions. So, the above-mentioned prize is a small piece of cake for a selected many to take a bite from and a huge sum of unpaid labor for others not making a cut.

Resident Evil 2 Remake E3 Gameplay Demo

One of Capcom’s renowned titles Resident Evil 2 is remade in a newly fleshed out, gory image that looks really incredible.

After releasing the first E3 trailer for one of their most anticipating project Resident Evil 2 Remake only two days earlier on E3 2018 press conference, developer/publisher Capcom decides to be generous enough and offer a glimpse at their re-engineered gameplay system for the game. So, they played a live demo of RE2 during PlayStation Live at E3 while discussing what are the changes they did and how it going to redefine the genre of survival horror with this classic title.

At the showcase, RE2 remake demo opens up with rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy joining for duty and goes inside Raccoon City Police Department looking for clues. While trying to keep the vibe of the original game intact, they tried to get rid of the fixed camera angles and made the zombie killing experience more enjoyable. Newly added third-person viewpoint works a lot like Resident Evil 4. However, maintaining the roots, this game will focus less on shooter aspect akin to later entries to the series.

Even though it is called a remake, the entire game is being rebuilt over the base content of the original but developers are not doing a direct clone. Promises of including new elements of gameplay is what we already know about with building barricades to fend off an incoming horde trying to get you. Restrooms are one of the new additions that RE2 never had before. Things that did not change are the use of knife and scarcity of ammunition to keep players on their toes.

Destiny 2: Forsaken Story Reveal

In one of E3 2018's most shocking moments, it looks like Bungie has your beloved Hunter Vanguard in some real trouble.

Despite Bungie's online-only multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 being one of the two best-selling games on console alongside another Activision title Call of Duty: WWII, it faced some tough times with the release of "Curse of Osiris" and "Warmind" expansion pack DLC. Now that the third one in line has just announced shortly, fans knew that something is up and they will be let down once again. Unfortunately, they are proven right during Sony's E3 2018 press conference.

As the trailer opens, we see one of the most beloved Guardians and everyone's favorite hunter Vanguard Cayde-6 badly injured, sitting on his knees and even missing a chunk of his face. He surely is in trouble but isn't trying to run away. His ghost is taken out and then the camera moves around to reveal the return of Prince Uldren Sov holding an Ace of Spades hand cannon to his face. He blasts off the wisecrackin’ Exo on spot and then walks over his body along with his followers.

With that, D2 just killed of one of their most celebrated character from Destiny-verse, which drove players either frustrated or mad over Bungie. In an attempt to bring back players to the game, they decided to raise the stakes more than they ever did. They have introduced the threats of aliens trying to destroy the world before and it worked too but the studio believed taking a fan-favorite personality like Cayde off the board will be so much relatable to players on personal level.

D2 community has been devastated since they witnessed this and the Destiny subreddit is the solid proof of that with the increasing number of goofs and memes in the loving memory of Cayde-6. On September 4, Destiny 2: Forsaken is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We hope that Guardians get their hands on Uldren Sov to get their revenge on their fallen comrade and settle scores then.

OVERKILL's The Walking Dead Gameplay Revealed

With an expert melee attacker, one medic, a sniper and scavenger in a crowd of four, Overkill sets up a team play for survival. Teamwork will be essential to stay alive for the characters in Washington D.C. now overrun with zombies. Although they made it pretty clear about building a game with different tone, a more detailed gameplay would have been much appreciated.

After building much anticipation from fans for the past few months, developers finally gave us a much expected look at the in-game demo of how it looks like for a band of zombie-apocalypse survivors fighting against all sort of odds. The fact that many speculating OTWD will turn out to be just another Left 4 Dead is wrong but we are sure that the developers will be flattered by this comparison.

Doom Eternal E3 Teaser

Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference gave the devil its due by unveiling Doom Eternal, a sequel to 2016's rebooted title.

Many eager gamers have been waiting for a sequel to the best first-person shooter games ever made and we are talking about none other than 2016's Doom game from the newly rebooted series by developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks. Eventually, the upcoming title from the franchise titled Doom Eternal was announced today by Bethesda during their E3 2018 conference and for starters, we have a brand-new teaser that is full of breath-taking action.

As the teaser opens, what we can see is that a backdrop which does not seem like Mars but resembles much to Earth. Buildings are on fire, freakish creatures and monstrosities like Revenants are wandering around while the camera goes forward through debris. It's definitely Earth and demons from Hell has taken over and running rampant. We see a skull belonging to Baron of Hell, which is crushed by Doomguy only to face a horde of demons while he loads a double-barreled shotgun.

Back in April, Pete Hines of Bethesda cryptically hinted that Doom 2 may be announced at E3 2018 during an event at PAX East, so this doesn't come as a surprise to us. Reboot of Doom in 2016 was a re-imagining of the original game and most probably, the sequel will follow the second one, Doom II: Hell on Earth. Although there is no mention of "Hell on Earth" anywhere in upcoming sequel's title, the entire settings of demons reigning on Earth seem pretty reminiscent of that phrase.

RELATED: Doom's Nintendo Switch Release Date

Doom Eternal is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but we don't have a release date in hand right now. Even though we haven't seen any new enemies yet, that cool shotgun is a hint that there will be new weapons. A gameplay live-stream will be held on August 10 during Quakecon and we can certainly hope to get more details on the story as well as gameplay for sure. If they can keep up to the expectation of players and maintain excellence, the sequel could also be a critical and commercial success.

Halo Infinite Announced

Halo Infinite trailer at E3 2018 is bringing back Master Chief once again to finish the fight to save humanity.

Not every day you get to show your games at a stage like E3 2018 and so, Microsoft took this opportunity very seriously on Xbox E3 2018 presentation. What better way to do that than revealing a new entry from one of your biggest franchises and what bigger series there is other than Halo? With Halo Infinite, our beloved hero Master Chief returns in action after a while. Developer 343 Industries have brought back the series once again and the next chapter begins from here.

The trailer is a short cinematic clip showing a green landscape in what seems to be an aftermath of some great war. A new ecosystem of beasts and nature completely takes over the world left behind by men as we don't see any of them. While a squad of three soldiers approaches with one of their wounded companion, we see Master Chief's iconic helm in his hand in frame. Then he plugged Cortana into the back of his helmet and then it slowly cuts into the title card.

Even though they previously hinted of making a comeback with Halo series, both developer 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios has been quite about when they are going to make a show on it for some time. Thankfully, it is finally returning to its former glory and will establish that once it finally releases. Aside from slightly changing their art style and color patterns, the game has moved to a newer Slipspace Engine this time and players get to spend more time with their favorite green Spartan.

In a time when Microsoft is desperately in need for some exclusive games for their consoles to survive the market competition as they are being manhandled by Sony and ridiculed by fans, an exclusive Xbox line-up like Halo can probably turn the table for them. So, the upcoming title is definitely a breath of fresh air in this time of crisis for the publisher. The story of the game centers around Master Chief but this teaser was to actually demonstrate their powerful new game engine.

Fallout 76 E3 Trailer

Bethesda's E3 2018 trailer for Fallout 76 reveals it to be a prequel four times larger than any other Fallout game.

Only a few days ago, Bethesda took a whole day teasing an upcoming Fallout game on social media and then revealed it afterwards with a teaser trailer. When Fallout 76 was announced, players were confused because they were sort of expecting something like "Fallout 5". Despite having a few glimpses at what it looks like, we had very little to go with but now that E3 2018 is here and they released a trailer that confirms many theories and rumors while giving us a detailed look.

Lets' dive into this brand-new trailer for upcoming Fallout 76 game released by publisher Bethesda at their E3 2018 press conference.

RELATED: E3 2018 News and Rumors

With the initial look of the surrounding, we notice a much more alive in-game world than of Fallout 3 or Fallout 4. A West Virginia neighborhood that is still quite intact than being reduced into a wasteland is where the player explores around while we were humming to John Denver's legendary folk song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" in background. This one surely looks like a prequel where it all begins and whatever left of humanity started taking shelters in those vaults for safety.

RELATED: Doom Eternal E3 Teaser

What we came to learn at the end is that this entry has a game map that is four times bigger in size than any we ever saw in past games from Fallout series. Although, having bigger maps doesn't assure you of the quality of the contents, we can rely on Bethesda, because they usually know what they are doing and this one is considered as one of their most popular franchises. So, we can only hope that they will engage their fans with great content and gameplay flexibility like they always does.

Apart from these, there was a rumor of Fallout 76 being an online multiplayer title before E3 and it turned out to be true after all. While every other developer studio in the industry has been focusing on more multiplayer only titles, Bethesda has remained a reliable company who made single player games and kept the genre alive. However, they are taking a new step now and how far they will go with this mode is still unknown and can only be told later.

It's not like that the studio have not attempted to focus on multiplayer and they apparently did it in past with Fallout Online. In Fallout 76, they will be exploring more of this experience and maybe they are just testing the field for their audience. Being entirely online will also bring change to gameplay and how it is played out as all the other survivors you come across are human beings and not some NPCs. Don't worry just yet because you sure will see your fair share of creatures out there too.

Kicking off with a brand-new trailer for multiplayer mode of their upcoming story-based shooter Battlefield V during EA Play press conference at Los Angeles convention center, developer EA Dice and publisher Electronic Arts went on to reveal more details about the game from long-running Battlefield series. Dice also have confirmed shortly afterwards that a battle royale-style multiplayer mode will be included, which will be set in WW2 period as well as the main game.

Although they talked about many other notable features and details about the latest game of Battlefield series, EA have not spoken much about their inclusion of a battle royale mode in BFV yet. All we know for now is that its part of a post-launch live service called "Tides of War", which has core gameplay of the franchise, destruction, vehicles and other key aspects. They always tease for a game and then upon revealing, they tease for some more content to show off in future.

RELATED: Battlefield V Won't Have Premium Pass

So, we hope EA has been saving up the best for later time and besides, the developers are still exploring this new experience to make it work in a World War II setting. Rival game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is also bringing battle royale to the table with their newly introduced mode called "Blackout". Perhaps one of them will charm the large-scale sandbox gameplay by letting a large amount of players take part but sadly, BFV is still stuck with their typical 64 player count cap from sixteen years ago.

Battle royale is such a cliché and currently a running trend as a sub-genre, pioneered by games like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite. Because of these trendsetting games, many have been following the footsteps of a last-man standing shooter these days. Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene, creator of PUBG has taken Twitter to express his response to this new announcement, welcoming Dice to the club with a short Tweet.

However, given their recent history of suing a several games that followed their style, people are skeptical at his response. A lot of people have sarcastically started pointing out how they have grown a tendency of suing other creators, instead of fixing their own game. Greene obviously did not appreciate their honesty and blocked or muted them out. Even if they take out Epic Games in court, a huge drop-off in their player base and loads of in-game issues are not something you can simply overlook like that.

That way, it is more rewarding for gamers but that doesn't mean you can't ditch a squad and join solo. Although many people are already trying to draw its resemblance with Destiny, it sure is different in many aspects and that will be settled once it comes out.

When one of your teammate is down, you can drag him to safety and then revive them. In crucial situations, this sure will come in handy.
