Naughty Dog to Shutdown Last of Us and Uncharted PS3 Online Server

Multiplayer servers of PS3 games like Last of Us and Uncharted will be taken down by Naughty Dog later this year.

Santa Monica based video game developer studio Naughty Dog has been around industry for more than three decades and launched a couple of successful franchise over time for PlayStation platform that became fan-favorite.

As all good things come to an end, they have announced this Wednesday, to take down online multiplayer servers for some of their prominent PlayStation 3 games after serving for nearly 10 years on their official developer Blog.

Games that are included in the list are Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Left Behind for PS3 consoles but you need not to worry about enjoying story mode though.

Naughty Dog has decided to offer free download for all multiplayer DLC of aforementioned games including every gameplay and vanity items until they are going offline later this year to say thanks to their dedicated fan community.

Both Uncharted 2 and 3 are top tier games for enjoying in multiplayer, deserving of getting another shot. The Last of Us is simply a masterpiece and unparallel in uniqueness that comes with a must-play prequel story titled Left Behind.

Of course shutdown is not immediate and Naughty Dog servers will be active until September 3, 2019, which gives players enough time to plug in their consoles and say goodbye to Ellie, Joel and Nathan Drake on PS3 before it all goes down.

PlayStation Now Adds Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Rising and More

Sony added Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and more to their game-streaming service PS Now in May 2019.

Having already a vast library of over 750 games, game-streaming service Sony Entertainment has added nine more new games to their game-streaming service PlayStation Now for its valued monthly subscribers to enjoy.

More than 300 games are available to download on PlayStation 4 right away while many other are to stream. Even if some of you don't own a PS console, players on PS2 or PS3 have still have a lot of options to pick from that they like.

Newest PS Now lineup for May 2019 will be kicking off with a certain Dark Knight in superhero action-adventure game Batman: Arkham Knight of 2015 from developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Drawing an epic conclusion to fan-favorite Arkham series, the game rallies up villains like Harley Quinn, Penguin, Scarecrow, The Riddler, Two-Face and mysterious Arkham Knight in their latest effort in taking over Gotham City by defeating Batman.

PlayStation Now Adds Metal Gear Solid V and More

PS Now has added DiRT 4, Metal Gear Solid V and more titles to Sony's game-streaming service in April 2019.

Members of PlayStation Now game-streaming service can currently enjoy a vast library of over 750 games on their beloved PS consoles and Sony Entertainment keeps introducing exciting new titles to their monthly subscribers.

Aside from streaming from a huge collection of more than 275 games, PlayStation 4 owners can now also download those titles to their devices and choose to play later. Even players on PS2 or PS3 have so many games to enjoy within the service.

As April 2019 kicks in, a new PS Now lineup of games headed straight to pick up with some action-adventure stealth experience in overhead military fiction of Metal Gear Solid franchise from Japanese developer/publisher Konami.

Subscribers can now get their hands on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and its epic follow-up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Both of these titles from Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience bundle is now available to stream.

Beyond: Two Souls, Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain Comes to Epic Games Store

Three acclaimed games from developer Quantic Dream are coming to PC later this year on Epic Games Store.

Players on PlayStation platform may or may not recognize developer Quantic Dream for action-adventure games like Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 but they sure have heard of Detroit: Become Human from 2018.

Though they are not one of those ground-breaking successful titles, they sure are beloved by fans and sort of exclusive to PS consoles. Recently, the French studio has decided to release PC version of these three games on Epic Games Store later this year.

It was announced during Game Developers Conference 2019 lately that all three of these acclaimed titles are heading to Epic Games' digital distribution platform in 2019 for PC and will be sold as timed exclusives for a whole year.

Whether Epic has just partnered up with Quantic Dream by funding their development phase for PC ports or did they simply paid a good chunk of cash to gain exclusive distribution rights for a certain time is still not revealed to everyone curious.

Back in January 2019, Chinese internet giant NetEase has taken an interest and invested into the developers with a plan of releasing future projects on multiple platforms in order to reach global audience on a larger scale.

Following this new deal with Epic Games, their twelve years of exclusive partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment has now come to an end. Other than working on exclusives, the company will now focus on several projects at a time from now on.

Founded in 1997 by co-CEO and game director David Cage, Paris-based developer studio Quantic Dream made a name for themselves in making action-adventure game with an engaging narrative driven plots that gives players a unique experience.

PS Now has added Battlefield 4, Dead Space 3, NBA 2K18 and more titles to Sony's game-streaming service in March 2019.

So far, Sony Interactive Entertainment is doing well with their cloud-based monthly gaming service PlayStation Now and stepping into March, a load of new games are being added to their already extended library of more than 750 games.

Their impressive collection of games are ready to stream and over 275 games are available to play on or even download to PlayStation 4. If you still own a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3, you can still enjoy a lot of great titles they are offering.

PlayStation Plus Free Games For March 2019

PlayStation Plus free games lineup has picked up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness for the month of March 2019.

February is almost over and we are about to step into March with expectation for exciting new games on PlayStation Plus. Given what we have on plate for this month, subscribers would be real happy for what they are getting into or at least one title.

Sony Entertainment treated PS Plus members with melee action title For Honor and stealth action-adventure game Hitman of 2016. Picking up from the high note they left behind, March 2019 delivers another title that many fans would appreciate.

The first pick from upcoming PS Plus lineup for March is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, one of the classic first-person shooter title or current generation from developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision.

Modern Warfare Remastered offers the authentic Call of Duty experience in full HD and playing it on a PS4 Pro system lets you enjoy the game in dynamic 4K display. Raven Software was in charge of newly added graphical enhancements and did a splendid job in overall.

These two titles would arrive at PS Plus on March 5 for members to download from PlayStation Store and remain there until April 1, 2019. Other free games that PlayStation Plus offers for their subscribers are Divekick, Gunhouse, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Rogue Aces.

Since Sony decided not to continue offering PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games according to an announcement from last year, the above-mentioned titles will available until March 8 so that you can still add them to your library if you haven't already.

Any PS3 and PS Vita games added by members before March 8 of this year will still be available to download and play as long as you continue your PS Plus membership. Game saves on your respective PS system will remain the same along with some other basic perks.

You might also feel interested to check out Yakuza Kiwami 2 to enjoy 40% off against your PS Plus membership. Also, remember that Hollow Knight and Just Cause 4 are 50% off as well up until March 5, 2019. So, you better hurry up to get the discount.

PlayStation Plus Free Games For February 2019

PlayStation Plus free games lineup has picked up For Honor and Hitman: The Complete First Season for the month of February 2019.

If 2019 has been a great start for all of you PlayStation Plus subscribers, then Sony Entertainment has some more good news for you. New free games lineup for February is up and this one looks even better than the one they announced for January.

Last month, PS Plus members had their fun with extreme sports game Steep and survival action RPG game Portal Knights. Although they were a pretty decent start for a new year, lineup for this month definitely got a whole lot better for sure.

We have melee action game For Honor from developer/publisher Ubisoft, a game that lets you to be knights, samurai and vikings in a medieval setting. Pick a character from any of the three different factions, divided by four classes with unique fighting skills and styles.

There are 18 different PvP maps and seven multiplayer game modes for to explore and hone your fighting style. So, pick up your blades and prepare to face off against one another from different factions in a fight to declare your dominance.

Our next free title is the 2016 stealth action-adventure game Hitman, which is a rebooted take to the beloved franchise by developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix. Step into the shoes of world's ultimate assassin, Agent 47 and discover his world of contract killing.

It has been a few months that the sequel, Hitman 2 is out and having a "Snow Festival" seasonal event. For those, who didn't yet had the chance to jump into the adventure; The Complete First Season of the game is a great point to start from.
