Splatoon 2 Special Demo Event Comes to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo announces a week-long Special Demo event for Splatoon 2 on Nintendo Switch with a discount deal.

A better sequel to Wii U-exclusive title Splatoon, cartoony third-person shooter game Splatoon 2 from developer/publisher Nintendo is considered as one of the best-selling games released for Nintendo Switch as it sold over 8 million copies worldwide.

Currently, a free Special Demo event is kicking off for anyone interested in the game for a whole week and after downloading the demo from eShop, players will gain access to it from 7:00 AM PT/10:00 AM EST of March 19, 2019.

You will be able to take part in standard Turf War mode, brand-new Salmon Run mode, League Battles and Ranked Battles for competitive multiplayer. However, there was no mention of a single-player story mode as part of the trail event.

Turf War is a 4v4 classic competition where you and your teammates try to cover a largest area of the arena players are in with their assigned neon ink. Salmon Run is a co-op mode to take stand against waves of Salmonids enemies and collect Power Eggs.

Nintendo is also offering free access to Nintendo Switch Online to let you join in online ink war as long as the demo runs till March 25. You can still drop in even if you already enjoyed your Switch Online trial and a code to activate the service will be sent to you.

On top of everything nice, Nintendo will let you purchase Splatoon 2 at 20% discount on eShop while the demo period lasts, making it available for $47.99 only. Even though it is not the best deal for a first-party Switch title, you can still save a few bucks if you take the offer.

Humble Store Brings Nintendo Switch and 3DS Games

Select first-party Nintendo games for Nintendo Switch and 3DS Games are digitally available on Humble Store.

Although the digital storefront of Humble Store generally sells video game titles and offers limited-time bundles for PC throughout redeem codes for Steam, they have rarely partnered with game developers of other platforms for such ventures.

Joining with them now is major developer/publisher company Nintendo to offer chance to purchase some of the most recent titles released for players on Nintendo Switch and 3DS consoles aside from Amazon or their very own eShop.

Some of the bestsellers and latest release like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, Pokémon Let’s Go!, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has made it to the initial list of Switch games.

In terms of 3DS titles you can find Pokémon Ultra Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, Super Mario Bros. 3 and the original Legend of Zelda 3DS alongside Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time among over 40 other listings. Are you ready to get on board nostalgia train yet?

Currently, Humble is keeping their Nintendo ventures strictly within U.S. and a $5 discount on games worth $19.99 and above for Humble account holders. In addition to games, they are also offering expansions, season passes and subscriptions for Nintendo Switch Online.

Even though a select portion of most purchases made through Humble Bundle are donated to charity, first-party Nintendo games sold on their web store doesn't qualify for either charity contributions or Humble Rewards, which we think kinda sucks.

Nintendo Switch New Year Digital Sale

Nintendo offers exciting discounted deals for some major Switch titles in New Year Digital Sale!

January often sees a slow pace for video game sales because of the long gap between the holiday shopping prior and many upcoming major releases each year. It leads to major game companies offering various sales to players, except Nintendo.

However, this year they have decided to make an exception perhaps by offering a New Year's sale for digital Nintendo Switch games. Check out retailer outlet like Amazon or Nintendo eShop to get your hands on some of that pie they are serving.

Many of you may have gotten a Switch handheld during the holiday season earlier and this right here is a perfect time to grab some of the great titles you have been looking forward to and you better hurry up because the sale ends on January 10, 2019.

It is safe to say that Nintendo doesn't usually offer discount or sale on popular titles but when they do, they throw out New Year's digital sale like this and to be very frank, it is really nice seeing them treating the fans with one of their best discounts anyone has ever seen.
