Fallout 76 Summer 2019 Content Roadmap

QuakeCon 2019 reveals new Battle Royale map and Vault raid is coming to Fallout 76 as part of summer roadmap.

Although developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks heavily promoted their 2018 online action role-playing game Fallout 76 as one of the biggest game of entire Fallout series, it fell flat upon release because of a number of issues.

Even so, Bethesda never gave up on it and released a new Battle Royale game mode called Nuclear Winter back in June. Recent announcements from QuakeCon 2019 today confirm a new Battle Royale map and Vault raid is coming soon.

August 20 will see Vault 94 raid in newest patch where players will team up in groups of four to take on three missions each week. Of course, people can go out and take part in smaller groups to earn legendary items as rewards.

Then on September, Nuclear Winter will introduce a new map set on Morgantown for 52-player Battle Royale, which will be have an urban environment offering more verticality in empty buildings, contrary to their current rural map.

Battle Royale will put players within Fallout universe against each other and become an overseer for Vault 51. With a Nuclear Storm on their tail, everyone competes to survive as long as possible before it closes in on them.

In future update, everyone will begin from same level and rank up to get various Perk Cards in each match. Currently, reports of duplicates for overseer rank-up rewards are being looked at and most likely to get fixed very soon.

Developers are also working on their upcoming Wastelanders update that will add human NPCs to the game for players to interact with using dialogue trees that are more Fallout 3 than Fallout 4 and is planned for launch in November.

Bethesda also mentioned that private servers for Fallout 76 are coming soon but didn't specify when they are going to do it. They need to work on balance changes to improve server performance and fix crashes to offer a better experience.
