Red Dead Online May Have Teased Undead Nightmare

Rockstar Games may be teasing Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Online with zombies showing up in-game.

Within a month after launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Western-themed action-adventure smash-hit title Red Dead Redemption 2 has added its multiplayer component Red Dead Online but it failed to be just as successful.

After brand-new Frontier Pursuits update is deployed earlier this month, many players have reported sighting of zombies in RDO and skeptical fans theorizes that developer/publisher Rockstar Games is teasing Undead Nightmare.

It starts with one Redditor noticing dead bodies lying around near swamp area after last week's update, which he originally thought to be a glitch. Then some more corpses were found that has pale blue skin and doesn't seem like glitch anymore.

The first zombie NPC that was ever sighted near swamp was not lying down and had grayish skin color. Also, Halloween is only months away from now, so it is possible that Rockstar is cooking something for their cowboy adventure.

Couple of more blue-skinned dead bodies found near Armadillo, which could later serve as a ground zero for an outbreak. They were all lying in a small hole in the ground for a while and couple of them was on a nearby wagon.

There is once instance where there are two glowing green-eyed dead bodies in a house that has been viciously murdered with their clothes and skin torn. Either it was a robber that killed them or an infected person before then they start turning.

Now whether their implementation is of a DLC expansion of original Red Dead Redemption or just a limited time event for upcoming Halloween season is not clear to anyone yet but these piles of corpses are real source of spook.

Rockstar launched Undead Nightmare as a paid DLC with single-player missions, events as well as some multiplayer game modes on Halloween of 2010 and within the premise of Red Dead Online, something similar is very much possible.
