Despite frequent requests from fans, there has been no mention of DLC plans for TOW in forums or subreddits up until now. Whether or not they will make this a free offering or premium release has to be cleared as well.

PlanetSide Arena to Shutdown Online Server

Developers at Daybreak Games announced to shut down PlanetSide Arena servers by next month.

Originally announced back in December 2018, massively multiplayer online first-person shooter title PlanetSide Arena was launched on Steam Early Access on September 2019 and despite being a free-to-play game, has struggled to gain players.

After constantly losing players for past few months following its debut, developer/publisher Daybreak Game Company has finally made an official announcement of shutting down all of its servers by January 10, 2020, 5:00 PM PST/8:00 PM EDT.

Despite aiming with an ambitious vision to arrange large-scale combat among players online through various game modes, current state of player count for their game will not make it possible for them to continue anymore.

Developers at Daybreak already had a year one roadmap planned out for the multiplayer shooter spin-off to PlanetSide 2 that was aiming at 250 on 250 deathmatch but now, that is not going to happen anymore after server shut down.

RELATED: Ghost of Tsushima Coming in Summer 2020

It started with a concurrent player number above one thousand and it started to fall gradually over time. At one point last month, there was only one participant logged in, which is an all-time low for a game that should have much more.

There was a plan to launch a PlayStation 4 version alongside Steam release this summer but that has seemingly been cancelled as well. Arena suffered from lack of players and that is due to a very generic gameplay style, which feels dated.

Daybreak also offered refunds to all players who made any purchase in Early Access period and trying to make sure they get automatically get their money back in their Steam Wallet when all servers are eventually shut down next month.

For a two-part event quest adventure, HZD protagonist character Aloy will step into icy grounds of "New World" to hunt down terrifying beasts. Being a natural hunter of mech creatures, she will have no trouble fitting in a frigid terrain.

Aside from playing as Aloy, there is a chance for Hunters to craft Light Bowgun, Stormslinger Prototype. This one is a ranged weapon from HZD expansion DLC that nicely fits into MH: World in terms of design aesthetics and usage.

Stormslinger used to be an upgrade for spear that Banuk shaman Ourea wielded in The Frozen Wilds and it now acts more like a ropecaster. Not only its power capacity has been expanded but an overcharge can also cause major blowback.

Similar to fierce canine beast Scorcher from HZD, you have thunderous beast Zinogre to face in Iceborne next month but make sure that you at least have a Master Rank of 24 or above and packing some Thunder Resistance before a confrontation.
