Metro Exodus DLC Expansion Pass Roadmap

Details on Expansion Pass content for Metro Exodus is revealed by 4A Games and its first DLC is coming this summer.

Despite having to delay its original release date and then facing some issue with moving to Epic Games Store by ditching Steam, developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver still saw success with first-person shooter title Metro Exodus.

Following its release on February, a Game Plus mode was added via "Ranger Update" for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a month later. Now, detailed plans regarding upcoming DLC release roadmap for the world of Metro is revealed.

Owners of Aurora and Gold Edition are already covered on Expansion Pass on their respective available platform. However, you can also place your digital pre-order now on Epic Store for $9.99 only and for just $24.99 on consoles.

Developers are currently working on two major story-driven expansion packs and players would be assuming roles of two new characters other than main protagonist Artyom that belong to Spartan Rangers and one of them is an American named Sam.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR METRO EXODUS.

Kick-starting from summer 2019, first DLC titled "The Two Colonels" that chronicles the journey of Colonel Khlebnikov who comes out of Novosibirsk to meet his son but survival on surface has not been easier lately and tough decisions should be made.

Then next chapter, "Sam's Story" is scheduled arrive on early 2020 that is centered on a US marine, Sam who wants to go back to his country to reunite with his family upon learning that many other city has survived the war like Moscow.

First expansion will hand you over a brand-new weapon in form of a deadly flame-thrower to successfully fend off mutated creatures on your way and gameplay will likely be the same you had in post-apocalyptic wasteland of Russia already.

With launch of Metro Exodus earlier this year, developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver has completed a trilogy inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky's novels and seems like this Expansion Pass roadmap is looking to extend that established legacy.

Samurai Shodown 2019 Gameplay Overview

SNK is back to get players to "Embrace Death" once again with 2019 Samurai Shodown reboot.

Returning to their roots of blade-wielding fighting nearly a decade after, Samurai Shodown is the latest in legendary fighting game series by developer/publisher SNK that is scheduled to launch on 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Though it originally inspired a unique gameplay mechanics that allowed swordplay in genre of fighting games, a lot of that has changed somehow in its transition from 2D graphics to 3D animation renders over the years for better.

As we mentioned about change in playing style, newest Samurai Shodown will deprive new and season players of "Combo", which is an intentional move by developers to gradually make you skilled in combat other than relying on button mashing.

In fact, relying on the latter and being impatient in a face-off can cost you dearly if you are not paying attention. So, learn from mistakes you made in each battle and hone on striking at a precise time to be far more effective in a fight.

One core gameplay elements distinct to the franchise is Rage Gauge that gets heated up for each time you take a hit and when it is at max Rage, players get bonus attack damage for every single blow they can land on their opponent in a match.

Other than that and a Weapon Flipping Technique to disarm your rival, you can now deliver a Lightning Blade attack by performing Rage Explosion. Once used, it will take away your Rage Gauge and you are to survive with skillful moves.

It looks like SNK has added a Dojo Mode for players to "git gud" before they go butting heads in multiplayer. Through a revolutionary deep learning AI, your play style will be analyzed from offline or story mode playthrough.

Thus, the game creates a simulation with your unique way of playing into a CPU-controlled "ghost" character. You can either send your ghost fighter into clouds to challenge other players or even go up against a top professional from around the world.

Classic characters like Charlotte, Galford, Genjuro Kibagami, Hanzo Hattori, Haohmaru, Nakoruru and Shiki are making their return to the current roster alongside newcomers Darli Dagger, Wu-Ruixiang and Yashamaru Kurama.

Additional characters will be added via post-launch DLC and placing a pre-order for Samurai Shodown reboot before June 30 would offer you a free Season Pass. It gives you access to four playable DLC characters and Nakoruru Retro 3D costume over first six months.

Over a decade may have changed a few aspects of the series but a heavy influence of Japanese culture remains intact in its core to unleash a new era of samurai warriors upon us once again with a brand-new installment.

Despite being a weapon-based fighting game series, Samurai Shodown always relied heavily on a plot and upcoming 2019 game is no different. Set prior to the events of Samurai Spirits from 1993, this reboot can become another hit for staying true to its heart.

World War Z Season One DLC Roadmap

Saber Interactive reveals their post-launch free DLC roadmap for World War Z in coming months on 2019.

Although involvement of developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive in the third-person shooter title World War Z was a bit assuring, many were doubtful whether or not it would turn out to be another zombie game.

After ruling over UK sales charts following launch, WWZ has most recently sold over one million copies within first week of its release. It got developers all worked up to reveal their roadmap for upcoming free DLC updates to show their appreciation.

Starting from June, a new mission will take survivors to Tokyo where they would come across a new type of zombie that spits a deadly virus. On top of that, these particular enemies can come back by resurrecting themselves if not dispatched properly.

Judging by their appearances, these undead were most probably subjected to some sort of experimentation forcefully before or after a global pandemic that granted them abilities that are stuff of nightmares compared to its brethren.

Then in June, another free update will add six-skull difficulty setting, which is suggested to be an extreme difficult level but it comes with bonus cosmetic items and exclusive rewards for dipping your toes into intense difficulty setting.

Mortal Kombat 11: How to Unlock Frost

Purchasable DLC fighter Frost is a hidden character within Mortal Kombat 11 that is easily unlockable in Story Mode.

After revealing their full character roster of playable fighters, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has recently released their newest fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 worldwide.

With many fan-favorite characters returning from past Mortal Kombat games, players were looking forward to Frost making a comeback. Though developers brought her back through a DLC, you can easily earn access to her in-game for free!

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Out Now

Whereas you can simply pick up any character from entire roster that are available right away, NetherRealm decided to include this female Lin Kuei warrior in a non-exclusive DLC aside from already adding her as an unlockable hidden character in MK11.

In Story Mode of Mortal Kombat 11, one would require playing through entire Chapter 4 with any one of Scorpion and Sub-Zero or a combination of both on a rescue mission for Cyrax to unlock Frost, which is not really that difficult at all.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Review-Bombed on Metacritic

Since they made Frost acquirable though gameplay locking her up for only $5.99 on all available platforms, it looks a lot like a cheap scheme to earn some extra buck off the pocket of die-hard fans of their critically-acclaimed franchise.

What is truly baffling here is that in spite of adding her for players to find in-game within a couple of hours into Story Mode, her DLC description had no mention of it and they only added later that you don't require an immediate purchase to get her.

Giving away pre-order bonus character Shao Kahn for MK11 is somewhat understandable but locking up a popular character behind a small paywall smells a lot like a scam because it doesn't even come with a $99.99 worth Premium Edition.

Seeing even Shao Kahn became available for purchase following launch, one may only think whether Mortal Kombat 11 has some hidden way of unlocking Gold Demon Scorpion, Kold War Skarlet and Ninja Mime Johnny Cage somehow.
