Beloved by fans for its silly tropes, action-adventure hack and slash game No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle by developer Grasshopper Manufacture came out back in 2007 and 2010 respectively for Wii consoles.

After being revealed a leaked ESRB rating earlier, indie publisher XSEED Games has announced to release remastered versions of No More Heroes 1 and 2 for PC platform via Steam, which will become available to purchase on June 9, 2021.

No More Heroes features otaku protagonist Travis Touchdown wields a beam katana and ranks number 11 in United Assassins Association. He attempts to become number one assassin of the world and nothing on his way would stop him.

Travis eventually gets his top position at UAA but then lost his way and drops all the way down to number 51. Another hitman Skelter Helter is also on his tail for killing his brother and Travis decides to claim his number #1 spot once again.

PC version of NMH 1 and 2 will also be adding Steam achievements, cloud saves, trading cards and more. Plus, there will be text support for simplified and traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish language.

Alongside other additional features, NMH 1 and 2 remasters will run at 60 FPS with support for full HD resolutions on PC. Players will be requiring a controller to play instead of shaking a Wii Remote as keyboard and mouse aren't supported.

Following their debut on Nintendo consoles, NMH 1 and 2 was ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A handheld version was released for Nintendo Switch back in 2020 and No More Heroes III, a third mainline entry is set to arrive next year.

No More Heroes 1 and 2 getting launched on Steam is not much of a surprise at this point since fans were already expecting its release. Even upcoming Switch-exclusive title NMH 3 may get a PC version in future followed by a fourth game.
