Nintendo Acquires Next Level Games

Nintendo is acquiring long-time partner studio Next Level Games, known Canadian developer studio behind Luigi's Mansion series. Nintendo Acquires Next Level Games In a surprising move, Japanese video game company Nintendo has acquired Canadian studio Next Level Games on Tuesday. Together they released games for GameCube , Nintendo 3DS , Wii and Nintendo Switch consoles over the years. Without revealing much detail of their terms, Nintendo released an official statement saying a few owner-directors at Next Level were interested in selling their shares to them and make all of their resources available for future endeavor. Super Mario Galaxy 2 May Come to Switch Next Year

Nintendo may actually be working on a Switch version of Super Mario Galaxy 2 that will release next year. To celebrate upcoming 35th anniversary of Super Mario franchise, developer/publisher Nintendo recently announced Super Mario 3D All-Stars , a collection of acclaimed Mario games for Nintendo Switch in a surprise Nintendo Direct . Super Mario 3D All-Stars will include Super Mario 64 , Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy . Though fans are upset to see highly-anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2 being left out, Nintendo may be planning for its release next year.
