Halo Infinite Multiplayer Reportedly Releasing A Month Early

Over a year ago, upcoming first-person military shooter title Halo Infinite had to be delayed by developer 343 Industries and publisher Xbox Game Studios due to fan-backlash over graphics quality and set a new release date for 2021.

Although currently scheduled for early next month, Infinite multiplayer mode may arrive ahead of campaign launch. Microsoft may release online component for Infinite next week, according to an accidental listing on Xbox store page.

A user has found source code suggesting a surprise release of Halo Infinite multiplayer on Xbox store page listing. There are multiple mentions of "November 15, 2021" date and "18:00" time with a reference to "PreOrderReleaseDate".

These newly surfaced info matches up with a special 20th anniversary livestream for Xbox next week, on November 15, 2021. Microsoft may release Infinite's free-to-play multiplayer mode a month early as a "birthday surprise" for all.

A series of Tweet shows how Xbox store data hints at Halo Infinite multiplayer before Microsoft changed it.

Even though Microsoft has no plans to announce any new game, they have urged all fans to join during anniversary stream. Meanwhile, seeing many people taking notice of this new leak, Xbox quickly changed the dates back to original.

Earlier, Halo Infinite store page added a listing for an "Early Access Digital Bundle" with little to no information in description. This further implies a surprise plan by Xbox to let some players to join Infinite multiplayer before next month.

Given how original Xbox console and Halo: Combat Evolved were both launched on November 15, these claims have some weight. However, it would be wise for people to take these rumors with a grain of salt until officially confirmed.

Halo Infinite previously had a launch window set for November 2020 until it got delayed and is coming on December 8, 2021. 343 Industries or Microsoft have made no comment so far and may remain silent until November 15, 2021.
