Breath of the Wild 2 Possibly Teased for The Game Awards 2021

A cryptic teaser trailer for highly-anticipated sequel to 2017 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by developer/publisher Nintendo was originally revealed during E3 2019 event for Nintendo Switch consoles.

Only weeks ago, The Game Awards 2021 nominees were announced by host Geoff Keighley and one of his recent social media post has lead fans to believe that he is cryptically teasing a major reveal for Breath of the Wild sequel game.

Ahead of upcoming event, Keighley is busy promoting The Game Awards show and teasing new announcements. When he talked about a world premiere that has been in works for 2.5 years, fans quickly took notice of his latest Tweet.

Many pointed out that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was revealed around 2.5 years ago and maybe heading to The Game Awards on December 9, 2021, since Zelda series of games have a history of showing up at TGA event.

Geoff Keighley teasing a "world premiere" has fans speculating of a possible announcement for BOTW sequel.

Earlier this year, Nintendo revealed a brief gameplay trailer for BOTW at E3 2021 and confirms a 2022 release window. Fans were left with lot of speculation but Nintendo still didn't reveal an official title to avoid any potential spoilers.

Despite not being a regular attendee at The Game Awards show, Nintendo may actually join in this year for a grand reveal of Breath of the Wild 2 with more gameplay, plot premise and even a definitive release date for Switch in 2022.
