GhostWire: Tokyo Release Date Leaked on PlayStation Store

Originally scheduled to release last year, upcoming PlayStation 5-exclusive action-adventure game GhostWire: Tokyo by developer Tango Gameworks and publisher Bethesda Softworks was delayed to an early 2022 launch window.

A leaked product listing for GhostWire: Tokyo has been spotted on PlayStation Store recently and apparently, it reveals an overview and a set release date of March 24, 2022, which is yet to be confirmed by Bethesda Softworks or Sony.

If leaked release date for GhostWire: Tokyo are accurate, then Xbox console version won't be arriving until early 2023. Microsoft acquired Tango Gameworks parent company Bethesda last year but honors an exclusivity deal with Sony.

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and creative director Ikumi Nakamura revealed GhostWire during E3 2019 press events. Nakamura has since left Tango Gameworks in 2021 to start her own studio, while Mikami continues his work.

Tango Gameworks pushed back GhostWire: Tokyo release earlier to ensure workplace safety for employees during COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully, dev team will soon be showing more of GhostWire in coming months ahead of launch.

GhostWire: Tokyo is a first-person supernatural adventure, set in a haunted version of Tokyo, Japan. PS Store overview states that players will be able to upgrade elemental powers, enjoy adaptive triggers and haptic feedback features.
