Grand Theft Auto 6 May Be Revealed in 2022 and Release in 2023

Aside from a long-awaited Grand Theft Auto: Remastered Trilogy and a remastered version of Grand Theft Auto V, developer/publisher Rockstar Games had no plans for any original release across any major platforms for last few years.

Although there is no sign for Rockstar to officially reveal highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI yet since 2018 rumor, an industry insider claims that GTA 6 could very well be revealed at some point in 2022, followed by a release next year.

According to a recent claim by known Rockstar Games insider Tez2 on GTAForums community website, Grand Theft Auto 6 may officially be revealed this year and will release in 2023, which is not a rumor but a theory based on patterns.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was previously revealed three years after Grand Theft Auto 5 release and it has been four years since RDR2 launch. Considering this release pattern, Rockstar Games will make a new game announcement shortly.

There are some rumors that claim Bully 2 is currently in development and maybe revealed very soon. Then rumors online suggests Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto 6, which will be in Vice City and may not even release until 2025.

Rockstar can move things up internally and eventually schedule GTA 6 to a launch window set for 2023. However, they do have a history of announcing release of a game and delay it, much like how they moved RDR2 from 2017 to 2018.

An insider report has claimed earlier that Rockstar Games have restarted GTA 6 development after series writer Dan Houser left in 2020. Regardless of such setback, much time and effort are being put together to make GTA VI happen.

Grand Theft Auto VI could still be years away from release and Rockstar Games may bring out some more remasters in the mean time but long-time fans won't probably know much about next GTA series entry before an official reveal.
