Although latest award season has ended with The Game Awards 2021 last year, another major celebration in gaming community just wrapped up recently with newly revealed results of The Steam Awards 2021 for players on PC platform.

Being a topic of discussion throughout the year and earning a legendary status among memers, 2021 first-person survival horror title Resident Evil Village by developer/publisher Capcom wins "Game of the Year" at The Steam Awards 2021.


Fans voted in favor of RE Village, beating fellow nominees like Amazon's New World, Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5 and Valheim. It also contributed to Capcom's biggest earnings in Q1 2021 by selling over 5 million units across platforms.

Resident Evil Village also won "PS4 Game of the Year" by PlayStation Blog and has secured four Golden Joystick awards. Maggie Robertson, who played Lady Dimitrescu has been crowned for "Best Performance" at The Game Awards 2021.


In other categories, Cooking Simulator VR takes "VR Game of the Year" and Terraria wins "Labor of Love". It Takes Two is definitely "Better with Friends" and Forza Horizon 5 much deservingly wins at "Outstanding Visual Style" for this year.

Deathloop was recognized for its "Most Innovative Gameplay" and Nioh 2: Complete Edition is clearly "Best Game You Suck At". Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is awarded for having "Best Soundtrack" among others heavy competitors.


Even with a buggy launch, Cybperunk 2077 surprisingly wins for "Outstanding Story-Rich Game" award. Players who simply want gaming and chill, picked up Farming Simulator 22 as winner of "Sit Back and Relax" category over other titles.

Resident Evil Village adapted most beloved aspects of Resident Evil 7 while slightly delving into more action-focused vibe of Resident Evil 4. Capcom will soon be revealing details regarding a planned DLC, which can lead to even more sale.
