Assassin's Creed Origins Next-Gen Upgrade Release Date Reportedly Leaked

While celebrating Assassin's Creed franchise annual day event, developer/publisher Ubisoft has announced a next-gen update for 2017 action role-playing game Assassin's Creed Origins earlier on social media but didn't confirm a release date.

Assassin's Creed series fans have long been looking for a frame rate boost since new generation of consoles hit the stores. However, a recent leak on PlayStation Network database suggests AC Origins will be getting a new-gen patch next week.

Ubisoft is apparently planning to release update 1.60 for Assassin's Creed Origins within May 24 and May 26, 2022, adding a Franchise Menu and higher frame rates on PlayStation 5, according to a new listing on PlayStation Network database.

In late 2020, Assassin's Creed Valhalla was released for cross console generation and it became the second biggest Ubisoft game of all time. Valhalla gets a second year of post-launch content when Dawn of Ragnarök DLC was launched earlier.

Twitter account PlayStation Game Size recently shared upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins patch details online.

Ubisoft added 60 FPS support for Assassin's Creed Odyssey on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility last year. They never offered higher resolutions but a crossover DLC story with Assassin's Creed Valhalla was launched.

Assassin's Creed Origins fans started to ask for new-gen upgrade since AC Odyssey got a 60 FPS boost in August 2021. Players are eagerly waiting for an enhanced experience on new hardware once Ubisoft eventually drops update 1.60 shortly.
