Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Series Revival Possibly Hinted by Survey

A latest online survey by Crystal Dynamics strongly hints at possible series revival for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver after long.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Series Revival Possibly Hinted by Survey

With acquisition of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montréal and a catalog of fan-favorite IPs, including Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain, Tomb Raider and various other games, publisher Embracer Group plans to revive these classic franchises once again.

Embracer Group intends to release remakes, remasters, sequels and spin-offs for newly owned IPs to capitalize these assets. A latest survey may already be hinting at a potential series revival for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver series shortly.

A recent survey by developer studio Crystal Dynamics is possibly hints at a reboot or a sequel to Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver series. It was sent out to players of Crystal Dynamics' games in past via email to estimate fan-interest in a revival.

Crystal Dynamics' survey asks fans whether they would love to see a remaster, remake, reboot or full-fledged sequel for Legacy of Kain. They also ask about player-interest in vampire-themed games and Legacy of Kain experience in past.

In late 90s and early 2000s, dark fantasy action-adventure series Legacy of Kain was immensely popular among fans. Embracer Group owning its IP rights now has opened up many possibilities for the series to make a long-awaited return.

Legacy of Kain series features two protagonists; titular vampire lord Kain and his lieutenant, an undead wraith named Raziel. Fans are waiting to see Soul Reaver franchise making a comeback after long and it could soon become a reality.
