Journey Coming to Steam

Following release of Windows PC version on Epic Games Store last year, Journey is finally coming to Steam.

Debuted back in 2012 for PlayStation 3, classic indie adventure game Journey from developer Thatgamecompany and Santa Monica Studio was ported to PlayStation 4 console in 2015, which met with critical and commercial success.

Later, a Windows PC version was released on Epic Games Store by publisher Annapurna Interactive in June 2019 and now that a year-long timed exclusivity period is over, Journey is coming to Steam storefront in June 11, 2020.

Devoid of any dialogue, its narrative is told through its artistic visuals and truly impressive soundtracks. Among several other accolades, one of the scores composed for Journey ended up receiving nomination for 2013 Grammy Award.

Journey is one of the major titles hailing from PlayStation consoles that are heading to Steam, seconded by Horizon Zero Dawn. Though the game is already listed on Valve's digital outlet to add to wishlist, a retail price is yet to be revealed.

One of last year's widely acclaimed releases, action-adventure game Outer Wilds made its debut on PC via Epic Games Store and Xbox One. Following a May 2019 release, this sci-fi RPG has made its way to PlayStation 4 console in October.

After spending a year of timed-exclusivity period at Epic Store, Windows PC version of the game is coming to Steam on June 18 and players who waited for its launch on Valve's launcher can finally get it on their preferred outlet later this year.

Mobius Digital is seemingly not offering any extra features or incentives for their multiple accolades winner title of 2019 so far. Nevertheless, players can still have a good time with non-combative gameplay and some space exploration.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2019

PlayStation Plus free games lineup has picked up What Remains of Edith Finch and Overcooked for the month of May 2019.

For past few months and since the beginning of 2019, Sony Entertainment has been offering some decent PlayStation Plus titles on their free monthly games lineup and we wouldn't want them to break that cycle anytime soon for their monthly subscribers.

PS Plus members had fun times with some action role-playing experience with The Surge and survival game Conan Exiles. Depending on what everyone likes, we have a look at what is up ahead in May 2019 and it looks mediocre at best.

May kicks in with adventure game What Remains of Edith Finch from developer Giant Sparrow and publisher Annapurna Interactive. Its story centers on last member of Finch family, Edith Finch and an old family curse that claimed them all.

General reception towards the title is mostly positive due to a very gripping narrative presentation. Though players have little option to interact with each family member, it offers better experience than many other walking simulators out there.

Our next free game is a cooking simulator title Overcooked by developer Ghost Town Games and publisher Team17. You are tasked to control a number of chefs to prepare meals for customer orders and serve within a certain time.

Of course, you have to go through various kitchen hazards and obstacles while you are at it but that is what makes things interesting. Also, tagging along with up to four friends in a fun co-op play via local multiplayer would be more exciting.

Compared to what PS Plus subscribers were used to get for their bucks up until March 2019, Sony Entertainment has been offering only two games per month instead of six and most of them are indie games, not compatible with everyone's choice.

Now that cross buy feature is gone since Sony has decided to cease support for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games, regular members are wondering whether or not is it worth to continue their subscription for cheap games.

What Remains of Edith Finch Free on Epic Games Store Now

Epic Games Store offers adventure game What Remains of Edith Finch completely free for a limited time.

Back in December 2018, video game developer/publisher Epic Games have offered to do a free game giveaway for PC every two weeks until the end of the year during their official announcement for the global launch of their digital storefront Epic Games Store.

First they gave up open-world survival-adventure Subnautica from Unknown Worlds Entertainment, then there was indie platform title Super Meat Boy from Team Meat and now they are offering first-person adventure game What Remains of Edith Finch for free!

Starting today, January 10, you can head over straight to the storefront to claim a free copy of the game that is typically sold for $7.99 only for your own using the Epic Games launcher. However, you should claim it before 8:59 PM PT/11:59 PM EST, January 24, 2019.

Developer Giant Sparrow and publisher Annapurna Interactive were the studios responsible for the creation of the game which is about a young woman named Edith Finch and mostly based on a strange house with a family curse.

The player character will be exploring deaths of several members of Finch family in their long abandoned house. You ought to take the role of deceased family members died in bizarre and tragic ways years ago while investigating the blight that befall upon them.

Even though the title plays out in a slow paced motion where players are on a quest to discover how a generation died of unnatural causes while reliving those memories and having Edith Finch narrating the events that took place prior gives out a lot of creepy vibe, this is still not a horror game.

What Remains of Edith Finch is considered as one of the best first-person stories by critics and fans alike and having it on your collection is worth it for sure. If you have already played before and were looking forward to play again, now you have a great excuse to do that.

What up next on the list of free giveaway of Epic Games Store is The Jackbox Party Pack, a series of party games from developer/publisher Jackbox Games and it comes on January 24 to stay up till February 7, 2019.
