Summerford Teaser Trailer

Indie developer Noisy Valley Studio revealed first teaser trailer for their upcoming survival horror game Summerford.

While fans of survival horror genre are getting remakes of their favorite titles these days on modern consoles, developer/publisher Noisy Valley Studio has been working on their indie horror game Summerford for some time.

Heavy inspired from legacy of survival horror classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Noisy Valley has recently released a grim new trailer for their upcoming project, which currently has an estimated release window of Q4 2020.

Newly released official Summerford teaser trailer offers a short tour of the titular village of United Kingdom.

RELATED: Metro Redux Coming to Nintendo Switch

There is not much footage to dive deep into but this brief video nicely captures its overarching themes. Adapting a third-person action adventure playstyle, the game follows same aesthetics and camera angles as golden age horror games.

With a small development team of three members from rural England, Summerford explores a story set in a small UK village of the same name where protagonist character Sam goes looking out for her friends after getting separated.

RELATED: Zombie Army 4: Dead War Overview Trailer

Whatever tiny fraction of gameplay is shown gives out similar vibes of early Silent Hill games and developers are attempting to take a modern approach to key-elements from these classic types with improved controls and UI.

They are trying to create an English village that suffered radioactive fallout many years ago. Taken over by nature, countryside surroundings feature less heritage sites and more regular shops where player character would go exploring.

RELATED: Resident Evil 3 Remake Nemesis Trailer

In terms of enemy types, Noisy Valley would like to ditch psychological aspects of horror and would try to make players feel secluded. There could be a bunch of yet to be revealed grotesque creatures lurking around somewhere there.

Konami has been quiet about reboot of their iconic franchise after 2015 cancelled Hideo Kojima project Silent Hills. However, a sub-section of that genre can still live up to expectations of horror fans through Summerford later in 2020.
