Entire narrative of the cinematic revolves around an unnamed female character who is a resident of New Orleans, living her daily life like everyone else until a fateful day when society has collapsed upon the rise of dead army.

Set within the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead series by renowned Image Comics writer Robert Kirkman (Haunt, Invincible), Saints & Sinners explores human stories in times of major crisis like a zombie apocalypse.

Players will have to deal more than swarm of undead hordes and continue struggling if they are to survive. Although it has nothing to do with Telltale Games, the game is a survival horror that follows choice-based storytelling.

Saints and Sinners VR game is set three years after initial outbreak took place and players will wander within New Orleans, where a powerful group called The Tower has control over everything and can be more threatening than a pack of zombies.

Often times, VR games fail to give players a gameplay depth and many of them are simply an "immersive experience" through virtual reality but Skydance Interactive is trying their best to provide a proper gaming experience.

Having potential to be a pioneer in next generation of VR gaming, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners have yet to confirm their final release platforms aside from Oculus Rift, which hopefully will be revealed soon with a gameplay footage.

OVERKILL's The Walking Dead Cancelled

Skybound has terminated agreement with Starbreeze for OVERKILL's The Walking Dead as they failed to meet quality standards.

Despite having a lot of potential to become a blockbuster release, first-person shooter title OVERKILL's The Walking Dead from developer Overkill Studios failed miserably to become a decent co-op shooter experience that players can enjoy.

On top of that, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game were delayed twice now and the PC version on Steam wasn't getting any positive feedback due to a buggy launch. All hope is lost now that it has been cancelled entirely after quite a struggle for survival.

Loosely based on the fictional universe of The Walking Dead monthly comic-book series from Image Comics by creator Robert Kirkman (Haunt, Invincible), the game were to follow co-op gameplay mechanics of Payday: The Heist reportedly.

Initially, they announced the title on August 14, 2014 and showed some concepts at E3 2015. Then it was delayed in 2016, which repeated again in 2017 until Overkill Studios was able to show off the first-look gameplay footage at E3 2018.

RELATED: OVERKILL's The Walking Dead for Consoles Delayed Again

According to distribution plan, November 2018 was set as the release window for OTWD for all available major platforms but launch date for console versions was delayed to February 2019 and everything starts falling apart from that point.

When Sony started sending emails to pre-ordering customers of PSN, it became very apparent that console version of the game very well might have been canned but 505 Games confirmed it to be postponed shortly after that.

RELATED: OVERKILL's The Walking Dead Missed Sales Targets

Skybound Entertainment, who is the license and rights owner of The Walking Dead property has took matter into their hands to publicly announce that they are terminating contract with Starbreeze Publishing and will discontinue all efforts regarding OTWD.

Skybound expressed their outright displeasure for the game not meeting the certain quality of standard they were assured by the Sweden-based developer studio and apologized to fans for not being able to provide premium quality content.

RELATED: OVERKILL's The Walking Dead Gameplay Revealed

People were already pretty skeptical about the future of OTWD and looks like luck just ran out on this one. Earlier, Starbreeze even revealed their disappointment from initial sales number generated from PC version sales mostly due to many in-game issues.

Only if Overkill Studios would have taken proper care of the IP, the game could even become the spiritual successor of popular co-op shooter series Left 4 Dead. Anyways, OVERKILL's The Walking Dead is removed from Steam, while PS4 and Xbox One version would not see release either.

Skybound Will Complete Telltale's Walking Dead

Telltale's Walking Dead: The Final Season will be released from Robert Kirkman's Skybound Games and will see to completion.

Only two weeks ago, we came to know that developer/publisher Telltale Games decided to close down with majority of their workforce has been laid off. A small team of 25 employees remained to complete Minecraft: Story Mode adaptation for Netflix.

This clearly put the fate of Telltale’s The Walking Dead game series, which already released episode one of fourth season in jeopardy. Telltale stated that interested partners are coming forward to help finish the project but it wasn't officially finalized until now.

Today, Skybound Entertainment has announced on Twitter about coming to an agreement with Telltale to see through the completion of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

At New York City Comic Con, Robert Kirkman (Haunt, Invincible), creator of The Walking Dead comic-book series has revealed that his company Skybound will take over the final episodes of the critically-acclaimed game after successfully negotiating with the developers.

Apparently, they have taken ownership of Telltale’s Walking Dead to complete Season 4 and about to work with the original members of the team who actually worked on the game to deliver a deserving ending to Clem’s story but this has not been confirmed yet.

Kirkman also stated the following to fans of the series at The Walking Dead panel of NYCC 2018, regarding their current plan with the situation.

Just stay tuned. Everybody involved is trying to make sure Clementine's story is told. It's a very unfortunate situation, but hopefully we will come out of it in some kind of positive way. I am not concerned at the moment with having to tell the story in comic book form because I'm hoping that the games will eventually be completed.

Although Skybound Games has never really used any in-house developers before on any co-created projects after launching a new game publishing division, they are making an exception in this case just to finish a fan-favorite series based on their licensed property and give it a closure by ending Clementine's story.

After Telltale effectively going out of business by firing a huge number of their employees, ending of the franchise became uncertain with many upcoming projects got cancelled and a lawsuit was filed against the company for breaking labor laws.

The plot of the game covers the events prior to "All Out War" storyline of The Walking Dead monthly comic book series by Robert Kirkman. For the sake of those who never followed the comic book; the plot simmers around Rick Grimes and the crew alliances he sought out into this post-apocalyptic world. They had quite an agitation to fight against Negan; the ruthless leader of the survivors team called the Saviors. Thus, the theme “The Walking Dead: March to War” has come to play.

Be expecting intriguing dilemmas, armed soldiers, highbrow counselors and engaging combats and you still can’t get enough of it. For the past few years, Hollywood has made an unwritten tradition of getting Virtual Reality tie-ins for popular media. Since The Walking Dead is a pretty successful name worldwide, it was about time that it gets a VR treatment too. Recently at VRTL Summit, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and executive producer David Alpert has revealed that Skybound Entertainment is now in a partnership with Skydance Interactive to develop a series of virtual reality games based on Kirkman's source material.

Later, they have also confirmed this in a Tweet from the official Twitter handle of The Walking Dead.

The multi-year deal among the companies will be responsible for original video games that will have a very different setting and characters from the TV show or the super-hit games from Telltale Games. Skybound's President of Interactive Dan Murray explains, As the world of The Walking Dead is all about moral choices and survival decisions, people love to read that in comics, watch in the show and play in the games. So, what better way there is to experience all that in the environment?

Skydance Interactive is already working on an upcoming video game Archangel, featuring first-person virtual reality experience and was also involved in Netflix series Grace and Frankie. Although, the official announcement for the partnership is now announced, none of them have hinted of a possible release date yet.

The Walking Dead: March To War Narrative Design

Just like every other Disruptor Beam games, The Walking Dead: March to War is strongly orchestrated by an interesting plot. Jessica Sliwinski, the lead narrative designer, and top-notch storyteller, takes us through a deep but concise journey of how she developed the plot for The Walking Dead: March to War. She explained that all characters were lifted from the Skybound comic book. She posited that the rationale for taking characters from the comic book series was just to ensure that each character is the representation of what fans are familiar with.

According to Jessica, The Walking Dead: March to War takes place prior to the events of "All Out War" story from The Walking Dead comic book series. This means that the storyline comes directly from the seat of the comic book pages envisioned by Robert Kirkman.

However, unlike the comic book, you choose what happens, how you defend and direct your council within the game. Thus, you are the leader of your own developing community. Not just that, you are faced with a lot of tasks before you can get the opportunity of leading an equivalence of Rick or Negan’s army. Albeit, it is indubitable that you are equipped with an intrinsic leadership quality, which draws people to you and, this is conspicuous to others like Rick and Negan but perhaps you will have to fight your way to defend your Council till death.

Members of the council are individuals who have trust in you to lead them right. It explains the place of deep communication, the amicable atmosphere between you and the council members. You have to get; to know each and every one of them, build an everlasting relationship to fix their support.
Both the objective system and the council story system will help you develop your community well.

She ends and punctuated her lines with a brief explication on how different the war game storyline is when compared to any other traditionally story focused genre by saying:

“The narrative designer’s job then becomes determining how best to support this emergent storytelling, and ensuring that any linear story also present in the game both enhances and drives the core gameplay loops (as opposed to distracting from them.”

For all who have been anticipating the game release, The Walking Dead: March to War will be available for play on Android and iOS mobile devices, soon!

The Walking Dead: March To War Council System

There is no official date for The Walking Dead: March to War from developer Disruptor Beam yet. However, it is important to have a background sketch of the game. The Walking Dead: March to War is a strategy game for mobile platforms which intertwines characters which are familiar and known to us. The primary objective of the game is to bring people together and not just anybody but people who can't stab your back. Well, it’s still important to avoid being eaten by shuffling walkers.

Recently, the creator of the game has revealed of a Council System for their upcoming game. The Council System provides you with the opportunity of using many of your favorite characters from The Walking Dead to lead your survivors in their mission. It is so essential for the game that you cannot even send the survivors out there without a Council Member to lead them as they are newbie who needs training and guidance from skilled leaders.

Anyways, it does not come on a platter of gold. You have to collect comic covers of each respected Council Member characters within the post-apocalyptic world and once you have enough of them in place then, your council members are ready to lead the survivors in the game.

Also, Disruptor Beam has just released some jaw-dropping artwork for three of the Council Member character from the upcoming title, illustrated by game's lead designer Michael Leoncavallo.

Each member of the council shares or perhaps exhibits different uniqueness in different areas. Some council members will make the group move faster while others come with different benefits. This underlines the fact that whoever you choose determines your progress, success and strength.

For instance, if you choose Negan as your Council Member, then you can lead your survivors to collect plenty of resources and improve your attacks with his “Batter Up” and “Half Their Stuff” talents! Harshel will be great for fending off zombie attacks and collect resources as well, whereas Dwight is best suited for attacking and scavenging.

There will also be a new and original member from Disruptor Beam team with his own unique set of skills. Walking Dead's Clementine May Appear In AMC

Even though it's roots are very slightly connected to the original comic books from Image Comics, the hit-television series from AMC TV and other games based on the franchise, Telltale Games’ exceptional video game adaptation of “The Walking Dead” has been running for three seasons now. Most recently, some revealing developments from “The Walking Dead: New Frontier” game is now making people think that those days are way past behind.

Clementine May Appear In AMC

The newly released, issue #163 of “The Walking Dead” letter column was the source of the clue of such estimation among fans. In "Letter Hacks", a guy named Matthew Friesen asked about any chances for the Telltale’s The Walking Dead lead character Clementine to appear on the AMC's Walking Dead, since Clementine has recently encountered with Paul “Jesus” Monroe; who belongs to both the show and the mainstream comic book series.

the walking dead letter hacks
The Walking Dead Issue #163 "Letter Hacks"

In response, Skybound editorial director Sean Mackiewicz's answer was neither a nod nor a wink to the question. As he admitted that, because of the timeline lapse from issue #126, they cannot possibly rule the chance for her to show up out, yet it also may never happen because of the extensive amount of writing it required for that. While there is some hope for Clementine to show up on TV, in the mean time, we shouldn’t be holding our horses while we keep waiting for a child actor casting call for the character.

Available now on platforms like Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac, Telltale’s “The Walking Dead” video game series is currently ongoing with its third season and a brand-new episode releasing every month.
