Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Release Date

In a new cinematic trailer, Atlus reveals release date of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers for next year.

Shortly after revealing upcoming role-playing game Persona 5: The Royal back in March 2019, developer/publisher Atlus announced another P5 title Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Previously speculated to have a fall 2019 launch window, P5S is going to release on February 20, 2020 only for Japan. It is very likely that Western audience will get their hands on it in following months that has yet to be revealed.

Atlus has released a new trailer showcasing more cut-scenes from story and gameplay bits from P5 Scramble.

According to new reports, P5S takes place half a year after the events of original Persona 5 game and most possibly not P5 Royal, when Phantom Thieves go out on a summer vacation and discover themselves in a new situation.

All lead characters will be playable and players will be allowed to interact with fellow Phantom Thieves members. Gameplay mechanics would feature 2D platforming and some Musou elements similar to Dynasty Warriors series.

Players would engage waves of enemies in combat while also exploring their surrounding world for a series of missions. Also, bringing companion to a fight will let them use their own spiritual abilities for longer attack combos.

Atlus has developed Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force for PS4 and Switch. Though initially recognized as an action RPG game, P5 Scramble actually belongs to hack and slash genre.
