In opening shot of the trailer, she walks in wearing her Phantom Thief costume and kicks off a rapier-like sword into her grab. In next scene, she is in her student outfit and goes to a batting cage for practice with no luck so far.

Throughout her day-time activities of visiting gift shops to see a friend or stopping at a café to have a meal, she seems to be a socially awkward misfit. Of course, none of that makes this red-haired girl any less likable and makes her the next best girl.

We see protagonist Joker jumping from above into fighting a mob of shadows on street using knives and charismatic special moves to take down dozens of enemies before finally unleashing full power of his persona, Arsene.

Teaming up with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, Atlus have attempted to re-imagine their popular role-playing game into a beat 'em up similar to Dynasty Warriors. P5S is akin to a spin-off like Persona 4 Golden that introduced a new character as well.

Although no launch dates are revealed so far, we would like to settle for fall 2019, according to a previous leak by Twitter user Mr. Ohya. He also stated that upcoming P5R would be only for PS4 consoles and it turned out right after all.

Despite calling Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers an action RPG within franchise, Atlus is keeping mainline Persona exclusive to PlayStation while leaving many Switch owners upset as they were really expecting a solid port of P5.

Persona 5: The Royal Teaser

Atlus released a new teaser trailer of their upcoming role-playing game Persona 5: The Royal for PS4 consoles.

A voice asks the woman that what she thinks of the secret group of "Phantom Thieves" and in response, she states that while helping people is good, these vigilantes are not actually helping people because their method doesn't work.

Immediately dismissive of the established protagonists, this mysterious woman sure is packing some surprises. However, at least we know now that for P5R is not going to be a simple re-release of original P5 for Nintendo or Sony console.

Atlus promised to deliver more information on Persona 5: The Royal at a two-day long Persona Super Live concert in Tokyo next month, on April 24. Ultimately, what they previously promised have turned out to be an announcement of another announcement.

Joker of P5 is also confirmed to show up in Catherine: Full Body, a remastered version of acclaimed 2011 puzzle platformer. This was followed by a surprise reveal of Persona 5 R when developer/publisher Atlus registered a domain P5R.jp.

Going by the name Mr. Ohya, the source confirms of Persona 5 S for Switch on Twitter and fanning the flame of fan expectation.

Ahead of its official reveal, P5R was leaked by the same source and shortly before posting the Tweet above, the same account also states that Atlus is considering an HD remake of Persona 3, which was originally released on PlayStation 2.

Players are to get an official confirmation of some sort before May and a scheduled release date would likely to be set for this autumn. Even though Persona 5 R is deemed to be a similar version to Person 5 S, the former is meant to launch on PS4.

RELATED: Persona 5 R Revealed

Atlus has yet to confirm whether P5R is a spin-off title like Persona 4 Golden, which was a port for PlayStation Vita but it was an extended version of the PS2 title with a new character named Marie added to the story as well.

Players would have to wait a few more months until May to find out if their beloved RPG franchise is really stepping into the Nintendo next-gen handheld console and Persona 5 fans would have a blast if it really turns out to be true.

Catherine Classic on PC Out Now

Sega introduces the PC port for action-adventure puzzle title of 2011 as Catherine Classic, available now on Steam.

It was only a week ago when publisher Sega decided to tease players of the upcoming release of Catherine on PC platform through the News tab of the Steam page for Bayonetta, which was then confirmed shortly after by an ESRB Rating.

Today, the critically and commercially successful 2011 puzzle platformer from Japanese developer Atlus has made its way to the digital storefront of Steam and Humble Store, debuting on Windows PC as Catherine Classic, a port to the original console release.

Also, the game offers you to choose between English and Japanese-language voiceover, something that was not a part of Western release in the past. Catherine Classic is priced $19.99 only and comes with all three original game modes.

Although you get to play the story campaign and enjoy the two existing multiplayer modes, Atlus decided not to include an online multiplayer feature, which they plan on to include on the remastered version of the game, Catherine: Full Body with a third character named Rin.

Full Body will come out later at some point on 2019 and the Western version of the game will only be launched on PlayStation 4. Catherine takes you to a twisted journey of love, betrayal and the terror of a romantic thriller of protagonist Vincent between three women in his life.

Catherine on PC Confirmed by ESRB

After teasing on Steam, a recently revealed ESRB rating confirms that puzzle platformer game Catherine is coming on PC.

Before Catherine: FullBody was announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as a remaster version of the 2011 puzzle platformer Catherine by developer/publisher Atlus, the original title was also available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Recently, an image of a Sheep with its tongue out was posted on the news section of the Steam page for action-adventure title Bayonetta by publisher Sega and people took it as a hint of Catherine coming to PC but it was later confirmed by an ESRB Rating.

catherine pc confirmed esrb rating sega
Catherine on PC Confirmed by ESRB

Even though there was no solid confirmation, fans were quick to point out that Catherine is coming to PC seeing the sheep on the site and taking it as a messenger. What the curious players want to know now is which version of this puzzle adventure game are they getting?

The game gets a Mature 17+ rating from ESRB for most obvious reasons like having partial nudity, sexual themes and strong language within its content but people already knew that. The updated version, Catherine: Full Body has additional contents that have everyone interested in it.

To simplify things, we took a look at the Australian Classification Board rate for the game where it is titled as "Catherine Classic", which most likely to suggest that this one is the 2010 release version and it was submitted by Sega as well.

Having to re-release a game when they are already developing an updated version is pointless but is it because the company wants to keep Full Body as a Sony consoles exclusive while re-launch the original on Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One?

It doesn't sound simply anymore, does it? If Atlus wanted, they could simply make the game backwards compatible on Xbox One. Or maybe they are doing this because they wanted to avoid confusion among fans on which version are they getting by renaming it.

It could also be that Catherine Classic will add the newly introduced third girl named Rin and new endings for her but will not include the many newly developed animated cut scenes and content from Catherine: Full Body. We hope an official announcement clear this out soon.

Persona 5 R Revealed

Developer Atlus reveals Persona 5 R as their next project for 2019 but says nothing about a Nintendo Switch version.

At The Game Awards 2018, immediately after the announcement of the Joker of role-playing game Persona 5 being added to crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, fans coming theorizing that the game may see a Nintendo Switch version release.

Then developer/publisher Atlus proceeded registrations for P5R.jp domain to fan the flame until Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai took a trip to their HQ. Right before stepping into 2019, they teased for a new project in works.

Just have a look at this recently dropped trailer on YouTube by the company which doesn't tell much other than playing over the mystery of what comes next.

Yup, that's it. Nothing much but a date for next year following the PlayStation logo over its iconic blue screen and then comes the line "Take Your Heart" a on a red background with a voiceover before revealing the date to be just March 2019.

Aside from clearly hinting that they are working on something, the developers didn't say much for now and chose to keep everyone in the dark. The trailer also confirmed that the domain that was registered earlier is activated and belong to this new project now.

However, the meaning behind that "R" still remains a mystery to all and we cannot help but wonder it is a nod to "Remake" or "Remaster" for Nintendo Switch maybe? We don't know that for certain but our bet is fans of the handheld console would wish it was.

Then again, why would a port for Switch would then show up with a PlayStation logo in the first place? Since the original Persona 5 was released on both PS3 and PS4, a release on the Sony console shouldn't be much surprising at all. We all have to wait until March 2019 is here.

E3 2018 brought us so many new reveal of exciting titles from various big-name developers and publishers, which was no exception for Atlus as well and a latest trailer is released for the remake lately.

When Full Body was announced and players saw the reveal, everyone learned that there is a third "Catherine" and judged by all the in-game hints came to the conclusion that she is a trans-woman. Although she is not the only trans character in the game, it quickly sparked a lot of criticism from fans and critics. However, Atlus did not clarify that by releasing any official comment and lets it remain as a mystery to find out later. Fortunately, this trailer moves past Rin’s identity.

Metal Slug XX Comes to PlayStation 4

Metal Slug XX is coming to PlayStation 4 as upgraded version with different modes, multiplayer and Leona as playable character from start.

Originally released on Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360 Live Arcade, run and gun game Metal Slug XX is an enhanced version of Metal Slug 7 from Atlus and SNK Playmore. The game debuted on 2008 without an arcade version. Though it was made backwards compatible on Xbox One in 2015, a PlayStation 4 version is long due. That wait is finally over and now a much more polished version is heading towards Sony's console very soon with many added features.

Brought up straight from the original PSP version, the game will be the first one from Metal Slug series which players can enjoy in 4K! Aside from supporting superior graphics, MSXX on PS4 offers you a couple of display settings like high-resolution border art styles or applying scanline filter on screen. Adding scanline options was for the sake of letting old-school fans enjoy nicely drawn 2D sprite-work of the game as it was originally debuted and how the series actually was on arcade era!

One of the scanline styles is TV, which is the equivalent of CRT monitor display and then there is Arcade mode to present the game just like we were used playing on arcade monitors. These little efforts were to bring back the classic feel since this one was not released on arcade. There is a new Trophy Set containing more than 30 Trophies on trivia and Easter eggs for some challenging players out there. DualShock 4 game controllers are fully compatible with this port and vibration support is also included to make the battles feel intense.

The first five games of the franchise had their four playable characters from Peregrine Falcon Strike Force and the SPARROWS team. Ralf Jones and Clark Still of King of Fighters and Ikari Warriors series debuted as newcomers in Metal Slug 6. That continued in the sequel and another of their team member, Leona Heidern joined as a downloadable character that used to cost only $0.99 to unlock. PS4 version of Metal Slug XX has her unlocked from the beginning and ready to unleash her special signature ability Moon Slasher at will.

Catherine: Full Body First Trailer

Only days after the announcement for 2011's puzzle platformer adventure title Catherine remake as Catherine: Full Body for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Atlus and Studio Zero have dropped the first trailer for this upcoming project at a livestream on Nico Nico on December 22. The entire clip is mostly filled with small cutscenes and illustrations from the game and so far, no significant change in the gameplay is noticeable yet.

Now witness the first trailer for Catherine: Full Body is released by Atlus and learn more about the rumor of adding a third "Catherine" to the game this time.

The plot of the game revolves around Vincent Brooks who is already troubling with two enormously gorgeous ladies, Catherine and Katherine. The former came to his life when the latter was already there for five years and complicates Vincent's life by having a one night stand with him. That's not the end of the story. Right after this mishap, he discovers himself in a nightmare realm every time he goes to sleep where he constantly struggles to keep up from dying by climbing puzzled tower blocks.

This is something that anyone who played the original title already knows but what makes this remake more interesting is that it adds more to the pile and that starts with bringing another bombshell into the play. The third "Catherine" of the game is named Rin and she is a pianist at the Stray Sheep bar. Beside that nickname, we don't even know her age and how she will impact on the life of a troubled Vincent.

However, there is a twist nearing the end of the trailer that has been making buzzes and making some fans angry in advance speculation. After Rin and Vincent get to know each other, they end up in a room and she stands nude in front of him. As he looks at her loins, his eyes go wide and jaws drop in what seems like a shock. Whereas many are speculating that the reaction is of finding out that Rin is a trans-woman, Atlus denied to issue any comment on the subject.

Shock or Comedy?

We think if they can handle Rin being trans-woman well, then it would add more fun to the plot but since the studio already ill-treated another trans character named Erica in the same game, players are skeptical. Though there is no official release date yet, Catherine: Full Body will be released on winter 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
