Project: Mara Announced

Hellblade developer Ninja Theory does a surprise reveal of their latest work-in-development titled Project: Mara.

Having delivered fan-favorite games like DmC: Devil May Cry, Heavenly Sword and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice in past, developer Ninja Theory has recently revealed their upcoming brand-new experimental title Project: Mara.

Trying to explore a new of storytelling in video game, their latest in-development game will largely focus on mental terror but instead of taking a fantasy-esque setting, Mara would set on real-world surroundings for a grounded experience.

Opening shot of the trailer begins with a shot of a corridor with heavy-breathing sound in background. A female character is seen fearfully looking around to get out and coming face to face with a startling dark reflection of her own.

Winning over accolades of best performer at Bafta Games Awards for playing Celtic warrior Senua who suffers from psychosis, German actress and video editor Melina Juergens is returning once again in latest Ninja Theory venture.

Studying on many real-life events, developers are trying to create horrors that live deep beneath our psyche with accuracy. Entire clip drips with creepy vibe from both 2007 Spanish movie [•REC] and cancelled Silent Hills reboot.

Ninja Theory has been working on upcoming multiplayer 4v4 team brawler title Bleeding Edge for some time ever since they joined Xbox Game Studios back in 2018 and has also announced Senua's Saga: Hellblade II at The Game Awards 2019.
