Watch Dogs: Complete Edition for Next-Gen Console Leaked

An updated listing on ESRB website suggests Watch Dogs: Complete Edition is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Debuted on current generation of consoles as a launch title, 2014 hacker action-adventure title Watch Dogs from developer/publisher Ubisoft raised expectation for its graphical aptitude but was a letdown due to hardware limitations.

A newly updated product listing on ESRB website hints at a Complete Edition of original Watch Dogs game that is very much likely to arrive for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles at an unspecified date sometime in near future.

Watch Dogs: Complete Edition for Next-Gen Console Leaked

An online listing of Watch Dogs: Complete Edition already exists on ESRB for major current-gen platforms PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In a latest update, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles have also been added to that list.

Watch Dogs franchise really picked up steam with release of Watch Dogs 2 in 2016, featuring a diverse cast of characters and additional gameplay elements that was praised by critics and fans alike on release, compared to first WD game.

A cross-gen title, recently released Watch Dogs: Legion will let you upgrade to next-gen console versions if you own a copy on current-gen. Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of Legion gets you access to upcoming Bloodline DLC campaign.

Aiden Pearce from first Watch Dogs game will return alongside Watch Dogs 2 character Wrench for Bloodline story expansion DLC. Both of them will be visiting an open-world London, aided by introduced characters named Mina and Darcy.

Recent leak hints that Season Pass owners of WD: Legion will be given Bloodline DLC and Watch Dogs: Complete Edition at no additional cost. Ubisoft has yet to confirm whether there will be a standalone release of Complete Edition later.

Keeping next-gen version of Watch Dogs: Complete Edition limited to premium buyers of Watch Dogs: Legion is a bad business model though. Or, it would be nice of Ubisoft to offer free upgrade to buyers who purchased a current-gen copy.
