Ghost of Ikishima Domain Registered Following DLC Rumors

A number of rumors have been hinting at a possible PlayStation 5 project or an upcoming PC version for PlayStation 4-exclusive action-adventure title Ghost of Tsushima from developer Sucker Punch Productions since January 2021.

After industry leaker and XboxERA co-founder Shpeshal_Nick has hinted at a standalone DLC expansion titled Ghost of Ikishima earlier, a domain has now been registered online under the same name, which further proves his claims.

During this weekend, a domain for ghostofikishima.com was registered on information lookup site Who.is by an unknown party in Toronto. Although not live yet, visitors are being redirected to official PlayStation website for PS4 games.

Ghost of Ikishima will reportedly be on same length to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Both of these standalone titles came out a year after their mainline entries and Ikishima is heading that same way.

Sucker Punch has previously worked on Infamous: Festival of Blood standalone DLC in October 2011 and Infamous: First Light in August 2014. It seems like Ghost of Tsushima developer will be walking that same path once again in 2021.

Given that Sony ends up announcing Ghost of Ikishima soon, players will visit Ikishima island of Tsushima fighting Mongol invaders. It too, has suffered at that time in 1274, setting up stage for another samurai adventure like its predecessor.

This new revelation adds more credibility to what Shpeshal_Nick has claimed recently regarding a possible Ghost of Tsushima expansion. Players can be rest assured that something related to Sucker Punch's award-winning IP is coming soon.

Sony is rumored to host a brand-new event similar to PlayStation Experience to showcase more upcoming titles on July 8, 2021. Though no confirmation is given yet, they might show off both Ghost of Ikishima and God of War: Ragnarök then.
