Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveals Patrol Mode and New Maps for Beta

After successfully wrapping up limited time PlayStation Alpha for upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard last month, developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision is readying up for much-awaited Beta next week.

In an official blog post, Sledgehammer Games recently shared some details regarding upcoming Open Beta for CoD: Vanguard that brings back Champion Hill from Alpha and introduces all-new Patrol mode, starting from September 10, 2021.

Sledgehammer dev team has been working on player feedback received from Alpha and making changes in preparation for Beta. They also mentioned that some of these concerns will soon be addressed in Beta and some fixes will come later.

A few graphical improvements were made to solve issues like damage overlay, low visibility and map lighting. Audio tuning was done for non-player weapon sounds and adjustments to spawn locations problem in Champion Hill are fixed now.

Meanwhile, nameplate visibility and aim assist tracking issues are currently being looked at but will not probably be done before Beta. However, Sledgehammer promises to take care of these bugs along with few other issues ahead of launch.

Some of the classic modes listed for Beta include Domination, Kill Confirmed, Search & Destroy and Team Deathmatch. Also, Vanguard Beta will be introducing brand-new Patrol mode, which is inspired by objective-focused Hardpoint mode.

Beta players will have one finishing move for each operator and use Combat Pacing feature for tuning level of intensity. Weapons will have ten upgrades and one attachment for rotating sets of loadout across four available multiplayer maps.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will be running Open Beta weekend exclusive to PlayStation players from September 10-13, 2021. A second and third Beta will begin from September 16, 2021, for PC via Battle.net, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platform.
