Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Delayed for Xbox Series X/S

Since its November release, 2022 first-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide from developer/publisher Fatshark was getting negative reviews on Steam due to frame-rates and a few issues regarding gameplay mechanics.

Originally announced for Xbox Series X/S during a showcase back in 2020, Fatshark had plans to release Warhammer 40K: Darktide in 2021 but ended up delaying a year and now, Xbox version has been delayed once again to later date.

In a recent social media post, Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund reveals that they are delaying 40K: Darktide once again to focus on delivering an engaging experience with a stable launch, so fans can enjoy playing it with friends for weeks.

Dev team acknowledges in failing short on expectations and promises to work on fan-feedback in coming months. Fatshark will attempt to complete in-game crafting system, more rewarding progression, stability rework and lot more.

While working on performance optimization, they are delaying seasonal content update for PC and premium cosmetics release. Going further without addressing these issues won't feel right with current state of Darktide since launch.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is penned by writer Dan Abnett, featuring an evolving plot with a live-service model. A co-op first-person shooter, Darktide was scheduled for Xbox release after PC debut but it was delayed unfortunately.
