It showcased new characters like Silk and Spider-Gwen, while one of the fiercest enemies of the wall-crawler; Morlun. However, one of them is mysteriously shrouded in dark and has not revealed the identity just yet.

We now come to a conclusion of that Spider-Person, who is none other than the Spider-Man of upcoming PS4 game. He will make a spectacular entry in Marvel Universe alongside his fellow arachnid counterparts and probably got busy saving their existence from the threat of ... well, that part is still not revealed but considering how they are after the Spider-Totem for centuries and come back even after getting killed off has got us believe it has something to do with Morlun and his family.

To helm this event, Marvel has picked comic-book writer Christos Gage (Thunderbolts – Secret Invasion, World War Hulk – X-Men) and artist Clayton Crain (Carnage – U.S.A., Ghost Rider – Road to Damnation) to work things up. Gage has also worked on the script of Marvel's Spider-Man game and he thinks there couldn't be a better time that this new embodiment of the hero joins the rest of his brethren. He really tried to work things out nicely between all these characters to keep things interesting.

In addition, Marvel will feature him in five of their variant covers to celebrate this new incarnation of web slinger. Marvel Games' creative director Bill Rosemann has Tweeted out four of those amazing variant covers featuring our newly revamped hero in sequences inspired from the game.

Of course the core-story will be dominated by characters like the Amazing Spider-Man, his clone Ben Reilly as the Scarlet Spider, Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen, the writer had to choose how to place this new character in a way that doesn't seem forced or unnecessary to audience, because this is going to be a major step for him. Insomniac's web head will see digital and hard copy release on September 26 and even if you do not finish the game before that, you still won't have to worry about any spoilers though.

Marvel's Spider-Man E3 2018 Gameplay Trailer

Insomniac Games and Sony drops a new E3 Showcase trailer focusing on gameplay of Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.

Developer studio Insomniac Games has previously worked on games like Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time or Sunset Overdrive for Sony’s platform but Marvel's Spider-Man seem to be their first attempt of working with a licensed superhero property like Spider-Man. E3 2018 has been creating some hype now and it was time PlayStation E3 Showcase releases some of their anticipating titles of the year like the one we are currently talking about and they actually did it.

We are here with an extensive gameplay trailer for Insomniac Games' upcoming action-adventure superhero entry and it looks just amazing!

This freshly out of box gameplay reveal have introduced a lot of villains from Spidey's infamous rogue's gallery and expanded our featured character list for the game. He has been operating as a friendly neighborhood web-slinger in New York City for eight years now and has captured a lot of bad-guys from common thugs, gang members to even major super-villains. Most dangerous among these are locked up in a maximum-security prison facility called RAFT, which is right off the coast of Manhattan.

When a massive breakout takes place and all of the criminals in RAFT get loose, Spider-Man had to go there to check in the situation. He is welcomed by one of his arch-nemesis Electro and then he bumped into Rhino before Scorpion grabs a hold on him. An explosion sets him free but by then Mac Gargan was gone and he is left to deal with all the prisoners. He takes the fight to the rooftop to have a run-in with Mr. Negative and The Vulture. When another of his enemy shows up, he looks surprised and the video ends in a cliffhanger.

A close look at the combat system is explored nicely and we have to give it up for the developers for doing a Spider-Man right even if it is set out of the regular continuity. Web-head acts like he should and he got all those sick moves to land some awesome combos on the baddies. All of the super-villains have revamped version of their costumes now just like our hero and five on them prying upon him one by one was one of the defining aspect of this gameplay video.

The infamous "Sinister Six" gang is most likely to be at play here, because after fighting five of his worst enemies, he saw another coming and exclaims in shock. Our best guess for the sixth villain is Doctor Octopus and we do have our reasons. Doc Ock is not only one of his old nemeses but he also is a founding member of the six. Besides, they were evidently working under someone's instructions and given his status as a mad -genius, we had to presume it was our good old four legged doctor.

It's pretty good seeing our renowned characters from Marvel Universe evolving and Spider-Man games specially getting better with time. The collaboration with Marvel Games have helped them a lot to reach a new peak, because if you mess up a game based on a popular superhero, people will remember it for a long-time. Besides, Spidey is one of Marvel's flagship heroes and also very popular among fans, so there was that pressure as well. We are waiting for September 7 to get our hands on this amazing PlayStation 4-exclusive.

Limited Edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro Bundle Leaked?

A newly leaked image on Reddit suggests that a limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle will be out when developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony will release their PlayStation 4-exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man later this year. This upcoming superhero title is one of the most anticipated games of 2018 and what we saw from gameplay and other revealed footage, this game is going to be a blast for fans with a very unique experience, which they have been longing for.

As a result of the last decade filled with superhero films that rules box office worldwide with an iron fist, everyone is little more interested now-a-days whenever something new comes out from this genre. Despite dominating movies and TV, the term is still a bit less popular in video games. To take over this particular industry, Marvel has officially established Marvel Games to make sure they create more triple-A video game titles and that begins with Insomniac GamesSpider-Man.

When the allegedly leaked promotional image of a spectacular Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle showed up on Reddit, it quickly drew attention from all hardcore Spidey fans. The picture is of a PlayStation Pro in stylish red color that has the iconic Spider-Man logo in white on it. The bundle comes with a DualShock 4 controller in a matching color scheme of red and black just like the console itself. Though it doesn't mention the amount of hard-disk drive space it has but we are assuming it will have one terabyte.

Image of a limited edition PlayStation Pro bundle getting leaked online before any official announcement is not something new anymore. Before the release of another PS4-exclusive God of War, a featured bundle was seen online before Sony could even let people know about it. You should also keep it in mind that, since the leak has no authenticity, it can also turn out to be a fake. So, any assumption you make in your mind, make sure you do it with a grain of salt in advance.

RELATED: Marvel’s Spider-Man Teaser Trailer

Another small detail makes us skeptical about whether the image is fan-made because of how it says “PS4: Pro”, whereas Sony doesn't use colon in their official branding for PS4 Pro but we cannot even rule out the possibility of a typo here. You may also remember of another leak of a cover of Resident Evil: “Revelaitons”, which even got Capcom irked back then but eventually turned out to be true after all. If that is the case here, then Sony still have time to fix their error now.

Although it would be very surprising to have a Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle because Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of Sony’s biggest release on 2018. Sony’s upcoming action-adventure zombie-survival game Days Gone and The Last of Us Part II are also expected to have their own themed bundle when they release on 2019. As release date for the game approaching nearby, Insomniac is revealing more and more about this project of theirs. Perhaps we are looking at the potential beginning of Marvel Games Universe of the future.

Marvel's Spider-Man Can Start New Marvel Games Universe

As one of this year's most anticipating game and a PlayStation 4-exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man from Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment could have more potential than you think. With that being said, players are already pointing out a possibility of the title to become a new platform for an all-new Marvel Games Universe. When executive creative director Bill Rosemann of Marvel Games was asked about it, he neither confirmed nor denied about it.

Marvel Cinematic Universe has started their journey in 2008 with the very first live-action Iron Man movie and now ten years after, we are headed for Avengers: Infinity War. While all these movies has been building a new fan-base for these popular characters, Marvel Games has been trying to keep up with these blockbuster films by introducing the same characters into newer video game titles on various platforms at the same time.

RELATED: Marvel's Spider-Man Exclusive Coverage Trailer

This is a great strategy for cross-promotions but they need to improve their attempts to keep par with the level of MCU. Insomniac's upcoming Spider-Man game for PS4 may be offering Marvel Games that window to create their very own shared universe that can really be a game-changer for good. With Rosemann spending the last two decades with this company, he could become the next Kevin Feige for an all-new, all-different Marvel Games Universe and fans won't be less happier if that happens.

RELATED: Marvel’s Spider-Man Possible Release Date

All these coy about creating a new shared universe for Marvel Games is important for them right now as they don't want players to lose focus from what's right ahead at this moment, which is Marvel's Spider-Man. The impending success of the project will better determine for what awaits in the future. Matter of fact is, MCU did the same thing by taking care of what task was at hand but then again, they sure dropped little hints every now and then, ultimately leading us to The Avengers film in 2012.

So, even if you see any reference of names and locations playing as Spidey in New York, that necessarily doesn't mean other characters are gonna pop up and interact with him. In fact, if you are a Marvel fan, then all of this should be pretty normal for a Spider-Man game. Because, that is the New York he lives in and patrol around to protect. It is already established that we are getting a brand-new version of Spider-Man who indeed is Peter Parker but a mode edged, experienced version of the character that is slightly different than his comic-book counterpart.

RELATED: Marvel Video Games Will Create Original Stories

A brand-new Avengers game is also in development at Square Enix that we came to know of from last year. Who knows that these two games won't eventually crossover in some manner? They are following the formula of engaging true Marvel-fans with development of these games, which is very important to create an interconnected universe. It would be great to Spider-Man, Marvel's most popular character leading the path towards that future.

Marvel's Spider-Man Release Date & Details

It was only a day ago, when we last spoke about the still undecided release date of Marvel's Spider-Man and how fans have been waiting eagerly from last year for the news. Whether is it on social platforms or pleas to developers, fans wanted to hear a date. So, Insomniac Games and Sony finally let them have their day by announcing the most-awaited day of 2018 for Spider-Man fans worldwide by revealing the game's release date.

By now, we saw more than one trailer with Spidey in action and we can never have enough. So, here is some more footage showcasing your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

Marvel's Spider-Man will be out on September 7, 2018, exclusively for PlayStation 4 platform. Sadly, PC and Xbox One owners have to sit this one down as this title is not going anywhere from Sony consoles. After working on the game for the last few years, Insomniac Games is finally dropping probably the best Spider-Man video game experience. This is a brand-new universe for our beloved hero dedicated for amazing Marvel fan base.

RELATED: Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 2017 E3 Gameplay Trailer

We also get to have a good look at Marvel’s Spider-Man final box art, which is by far just as amazing as Spidey could get. Now, this is no surprise at all as Insomniac has a track record for providing great game covers and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time or Sunset Overdrive can be a good example on that case. A pure red background, reminiscent to his Spider-Suit truly brings out our hero into spotlight!

Insomniac's Spider-Man presents us a new take on Spidey's suit which is far-more advanced and rather different than his classic one. The posture of Spider-Man on cover art clearly shows inspiration of his character from last 50 years of depiction by artists J. Scott Campbell, Joe Quesada, John Romita Jr., Mark Bagley and Steve Ditko. This is probably the reason, why our all-new Spidey still feels so familiar to us.

One of the additional suits is already shown in the trailer above and the other two will be revealed shortly as well.

Keeping in mind that there are some hardcore Spider-Man fans crazy about owning collectible items of their favorite web-slinger, there is a Collector’s Edition. Not only it has all the contents of Digital Deluxe Edition, it contains a Steelbook case, Mini Artbook featuring game arts, Marvel’s Spider-Man statue and it is priced only $149.99. Titan Books have provided the Mini Artbook and statue of Spidey is courtesy of Gentle Giant. If you look closely to that, you will see that Spider-Man is on top of something which is yet to be revealed. Even at this point, Insomniac and Sony have been very secretive.

What we think is best news for everyone here is that even if you end up buying the standard edition of the game or miss to pre-order, you can still have all of them. Spend a few bucks for alternate costumes or Spider-Drone gadget and you can have it for yourself. No need to take stress over it at all. We discussed a lot about collectibles and merchandises already but lot are still to be revealed regarding the game. For that, our suggestion is you grab a copy of May issue of Game Informer magazine.

Marvel's Spider-Man Exclusive Coverage Trailer

Upcoming action-adventure game Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games and Sony Entertainment is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated video game titles of 2018 and a PlayStation 4-exclusive, Game Informer magazine has recently featured it on their cover of May '18 issue to get players hyped up even more. The cover art was done by legendary comic-book artist Alex Ross and his work here looks as amazing as Marvel's Spider-Man is going to be.

When the title will finally make its debut, developer Insomniac Games would probably create history by ascending into one of the top dogs in game making. May '18 issue of the popular magazine will be entirely dedicated to everyone's favorite web-slinger as he swings throughout New York City. Before covering the issue, Game Informer has spent two days with developers to get a better peak at what they are doing with our friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

We got an exclusive footage of the game right here that has interviews from executive editor Andrew Reiner of Game Informer magazine.

According to the interview from this trailer, Insomniac Games had one single goal on their mind while developing Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 owners and that is to not only let them play as Spider-Man but also make them feel like they are on the shoes of their favorite hero. It's all about letting people get a better grip at the world for the hero under the hood of that Spider-Suit and we are not talking about a troubled teenage Peter Parker but a bit older, an experienced one.

RELATED: Marvel’s Spider-Man Teaser Trailer

Early trailer footage has already teased us about the appearance of another fan-favorite character Miles Morales, who probably has some important part to play in the game's plot as well. However, aside from Peter Parker going into action as Spider-Man there are no clue or suggestions that Miles Morales would do something similar. We also see the overall change of Spidey's costume for the game but there are possibilities of getting a glimpse of classic Spider-Man suit on some in-game campaign at any point.

Game Informer’s May Cover Revealed

Game Informer has already covered a full 14 pages of news and features on Spidey on their upcoming May issue and that should keep the fans happy. The beautiful cover artwork by Alex Ross is a piece of gold and this guy has a history with friendly neighborhood Parker too. Ross was previously responsible for some concept arts of Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man 1 and 2 movies. The sheer awesomeness of Spider-Man’s suit on Game Informer cover proves that he still hasn't lost his touch yet.

RELATED: Marvel’s Spider-Man Possible Release Date

What fans eagerly want to know at this point is that when are we getting our hands on Marvel's Spider-Man? Because, there is no apparent release date or time revealed till date. Although, there was a possible release date theory from a Coolshop listing suggesting it to be September 28, 2018 but it was not officially verified. Since Game Informer magazine is going to cover this title, we might as well get a hint at that or even get an actual date of release as Insomniac prepares to launch it.

Erik Killmonger Enters Marvel: Contest of Champions

As the whole world is eagerly waiting for the premiere of the live-action Black Panther movie that debutes King T’Challa of Wakanda starring actor Chadwick Boseman (Captain America: Civil War, Gods of Egypt) in the titular lead role, let's not forget about the film's primary antagonist Erik Killmonger, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan (Creed, The Wire). He finally steps into Marvel: Contest of Champions to claim his rightful place.

For long, Erik Killmonger has been an arch-nemesis for one of Marvel's most prominent black superhero, Black Panther. Their rivalry eventually found its way to the silver screen with the release of the movie and his arrival to the Marvel Cinematic Universe calls for a celebration. So, developer Kabam's lead character artist Gene Campbell and game designer Piero Herrera were all game for that.

While Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan's character goes into clash into theaters, Erik Killmonger follows his arch-enemy from the lands of Wakanda to The Collector's cosmic Battlerealm of Champions. Just like the studio has paid keen attention to details for the character and its design, Contest of Champions developers also put the same level of effort in the game to do justice to Killmonger for bringing him into the arena.

The greatest Champions the universe could offer, The Collector has amassed them all and Erik Killmonger is one of his newest collections. He brings the best defensive abilities on the table if you play offense with him. He receives Indestructible Charges when a Special 2 Attack is activated and it lets him resist a Special 3 Attack from his adversary without breaking a sweat or taking damage.

His character can shrug off enemy attacks during a block using his Counterpunch Charges and begin performing his very own combo. This attack tactics is very effective against Stun Immune opponents of Battlerealm. Erik Killmonger is most effective on a fight with the company of Black Panther (Civil War), The Void and Winter Soldier. These combinations will grant you Regeneration and help you get True Strike pretty easily, the latter of which is quite helpful against Champions like Spider-Man.

A fighting game available to play on Android and iOS devices from Kabam, Marvel: Contest of Champions is free-to-play for all. We have high hopes for Marvel StudiosBlack Panther that is releasing worldwide this weekend and it provided a wonderful opportunity for the developers to bring new cinematic incursions of the popular Marvel character.
