Marvel's Avengers E3 2019 Reveal

Square Enix have revealed first official trailer of upcoming Marvel's Avengers game at E3 2019 event.

For long, publisher Square Enix has been silent on "The Avengers Project" that was officially announced back at E3 2017 event. In December 2018, the game's Creative Director Shaun Escayg assured that development will start soon.

Only a week ago, an official Twitter account starts referring it as Marvel's Avengers and revealed schedule for a worldwide reveal at E3 2019. Today, fans are finally getting a glance at this long-awaited superhero action-adventure game.

An exclusive first-look trailer has been released earlier to present a more detailed look into upcoming Avengers game.

It all begins at A-Day, when globally known superhero team of Avengers showed up in San Francisco to unveil their new hi-tech Headquarters. A sudden explosion nearby has Captain America send Iron Man and Thor to investigate.

Black Widow and Hulk joined soon into that mess what seemed like an act of terrorism by a private military force. A staged catastrophe causes huge devastation and these heroes were blamed, which led to disbandment of The Avengers.

Fast forward to five years later, all superheroes are now outlawed by society and long gone. Entire world suffers from growing threats and the only way to save it will take for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to reassemble once again.

Over time, fans will receive regular updates for free to extend in-game content and there will be no micro-transaction. More Marvel heroes will be added to increase an ever-growing roster and options for customization will be available.

After signing up a multi-year and multi-game partnership deal with Marvel Games, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal were roped in by Square Enix to develop the game for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Lately, Google Stadia has been added to its list of platforms and a definitive release date of May 15, 2020 is also confirmed. As pre-order bonus, a pre-release Beta Access of the game will be offered to players on PS4 before anyone else.

Although it was mentioned in E3 2019 trailer that footage shown are captured from in-game engine, it was quite hard to tell where cinematic cut-scenes ended or where we were watching gameplay moments except from its opening scene.

Marvel's Avengers will adapt an original story just like Insomniac Games most recently did with their immensely successful project, Marvel's Spider-Man. Despite many believe it to be an MMO or RPG but apparently we are getting an action-adventure title.

Marvel's Avengers Will Be Revealed at E3 2019

Square Enix would finally reveal their ambitious superhero adventure Marvel's Avengers at E3 2019 press conference.

Teaming up with Marvel Games for a multi-game partnership, publisher Square Enix officially announced superhero action-adventure game that was simply titled "The Avengers Project" at E3 2017 event and had no development updates for long.

Finally, the long-awaited game has received a schedule from Marvel Entertainment for a worldwide reveal event at E3 2019 press briefing now that we are only few weeks away and is currently referred to as Marvel's Avengers.

Originally announced in January 2017, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and EIDOS Montreal joined on board for this project. We don't even have a release window set for its possible launch but hopefully, we will get something very soon.

Back then, a brief cinematic has shown Captain America's shield, Iron Man's repulsor arm and Thor's hammer Mjolnir fallen on the ground that suggests that original Avengers have probably disassembled and they need to "reassemble".

It is highly likely for a new group of heroes to gather to pick up mantles of their icons in a brand-new original story where a new generation of heroes like Amadeus Cho, Jane Foster and Sam Wilson can now form New Avengers.

We can pretty much except a similar lineup on Marvel Cinematic Universe as well since Avengers have already gone through major events such as "Infinity War" and "Endgame" lately, leading some key-characters to pass their mantle to new heroes.

Almost a year after The Avengers Project was announced, Creative Director Shaun Escayg updated everyone on social media saying how hard they are working on this ambitious game and will soon reveal more when it is right time.

Given how Square Enix is planning to introduce a universe where gamers can play for years to come, Marvel's Avengers may turn out to be an MMO or RPG experience, which would not be very surprising and we will find that out on June 10, 6 PM PT.

Marvel's Spider-Man Gets 33% Price Drop

PS4-exclusive action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man gets a permanent price drop and now priced $39.99 only.

Without a doubt, Marvel's Spider-Man from developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment is one of the biggest games of 2018 and we have an overwhelming fan-response to back that claim up as well.

Though the hype for this PlayStation 4-exclusive action-adventure title has been died down a little after the five months of launch and people are being ready for new games in 2019, Sony decided to offer a big discount on the title and took $20 off permanently.

Bringing the price down to $39.99 for Spider-Man on PS4 is not something new that the company has done. During Black Friday of 2018, the game was discounted by the same amount and was also given away with a limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro Bundle.

However, this permanent price drop on one of the best games of 2018 can cause a small spike on the sales number once again. Many fans who waited for an occasion like this would probably reach out their controller now to go swinging in New York as Spidey.

As soon as the hype died down, Sony dropped price on Detroit: Become Human, God of War and Shadow of the Colossus Remastered too on last year. You can now purchase the game from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, PlayStation Store and Walmart on the discounted price.

Within the month of its release, Marvel's Spider-Man managed to become the fastest-selling PS4 game ever and even earned more than the opening weekend of Spider-Man: Homecoming movie by selling over 3.3 million physical copies.

Marvel's Spider-Man Adds Fantastic Four-Themed Suits

Insomniac Games have added the Bombastic Bag-Man and Future Foundation suits in the latest update for Marvel's Spider-Man.

As developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment finished rolling out "The City That Never Sleeps" DLC series for their PlayStation 4-exclusive title Marvel's Spider-Man, fans can still hope for some new content.

If you have finished rounding up New York City in his iconic red and blue suit alongside tons of other versions that was introduced to the game so far, then it is time for you to try out some new suits, two new Fantastic Four-themed suits to be specific.

Wondering what Fantastic Four and Spider-Man have in common? Well, ever since the Wall-Crawler debuted as a hero in his teens, he tried to join "World's Greatest Family" showing off his talent but only ended up fighting them instead.

The family of four has teamed-up with the Webhead on multiple occasions and was even featured in many mini-series of their own. One of the writers of the game, Christos Gage (Thunderbolts – Secret Invasion, World War Hulk – X-Men) has penned one in 2010 titled "Spider-Man/Fantastic Four".

In Amazing Spider-Man #258, Spidey goes to Fantastic Four headquarter seeking help to get rid of the alien symbiote he was wearing as a costume, which later eventually became Venom. They were successful of getting rid of the suit but he was left only in his underpants.

Spider-Man had to borrow one of their costumes but since they don't have masks, the Human Torch had to improvise an idea to conceal Peter Parker's secret identity and he gave him a grocery bag to wear, thus came the identity of the Bombastic Bag-Man.

Then there was another instance following "Big Time" story arc, when the Wall-Crawler joined the team for real but then they were calling themselves the Future Foundation. This time, Spidey wore a slick-looking black and white costume.

Now, players can simply fancy themselves wearing the Bombastic Bag-Man and Future Foundation suits in Marvel's Spider-Man with the release of patch 1.14 on PlayStation Network. With the Fantastic Four returning to Marvel Comics once again, these new suits came just in time.

The Avengers Project Will Begin Development Soon

Creative Director Shaun Escayg for upcoming The Avengers Project from Square Enix promises a very ambitious game.

It has been more than a year since Square Enix has signed a multi-year and multi-game partnership with Marvel Games back in 2017, which was supposed to began with the development of The Avengers Project.

For long, there was no update regarding the anticipating title and fans were wondering whether or not the game will ever see the light. Finally, their prayers are answered and a recent update from the game's Creative Director Shaun Escayg has reassured that.

Although his Tweet doesn't reveal much detail on their progress, it does confirm the fans that the studio is working really hard for a very ambitious game. Also, this update may be hinting in advance that Marvel may come up with some official news in 2019.

Apparently, developer studios Crystal Dynamics and EIDOS Montreal were supposed to work on the game but initially they didn't give a specific release date. The former has moved into a new state-of-the-art studio to work on bigger projects.

Last year, they started recruiting heads for the game and spend quite a while doing that. They were busy working on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and also saw release of the newly rebooted Tomb Raider movie starring Alicia Vikander.

Fans have been theorizing that the title may be an MMO or RPG experience because Square Enix's history with the Final Fantasy series. Marvel also backed the Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series but had to scrap further plans after Telltale Games underwent a massive layoff.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining DLC 3 Teaser

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining DLC features Spider-Man's suit from upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film and Silver Sable returns.

Even though Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 couldn't win big time at The Game Awards 2018 despite having a bunch of nominations and high hopes from fans, it sure won in 3 different categories on the Game Critics Awards and at Gamescom 2018.

So, 2018 wasn't particularly bad for the commercially successful action-adventure game from developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive. Things are going to get better by the end of the month as the third chapter of The City That Never Sleeps DLC series is coming on December 21.

For years, we are so used to see J. Jonah Jameson dedicating himself wholeheartedly to constantly rant at vigilante hero Spider-Man alone but with Black Cat entering the scene recently, he now has someone else to express his angry outbursts about.

We had a teaser released for the first DLC chapter earlier and now we have Jameson invites us all in his anti-Spider-Man podcast "Just the Facts" to inform us more about what's going on here.
