Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Key-Art Leaked on PlayStation Store

For long since its original announcement at PlayStation Showcase 2022 event, upcoming action- adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 by developer Insomniac Games didn't share any official update other than a set 2023 release window.

Meanwhile, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment focuses on their other first-party releases while fans eagerly wait for it. Recently, PlayStation Store made a listing for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with a key-art, possibly teasing a new trailer.

Earlier today, Spider-Man 2 showed up at UK PlayStation Store for players to follow and wishlist it for news updates. Sony was quick to take it down before many players could see it ahead of a possible announcement or trailer reveal soon.

Major video game companies often update store listing of their anticipated projects just before releasing new promotional materials. Also, Insomniac community director recently shared a GIF of Peter and Miles, may be hinting at a reveal.

Twitter user Wario64 shared new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 logo and a screenshot of PlayStation Store online.

Back in September, Miles Morales actor Nadji Jeter simply retweeted first trailer of Spider-Man 2 on a year anniversary of its debut and earlier this month, Venom actor Tony Todd shared a bit about his role, all subtly leads to a new trailer.

Newest trailer for award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been confirmed by Sony to premiere on December 13, which could follow-up with promotion for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Sony previously ran marketing campaign for PlayStation-exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man in 2018 with Into the Spider-Verse as both were releasing that same year and may follow similar tactics for Spider-Man 2 and Across the Spider-Verse.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and sequel to Spider-Verse are both scheduled for 2023 launch and Sony may want to repeat the same approach. In coming days, fans will finally have an awaited reveal of new trailer, offering a better look at sequel.
