We previously thought that the October 2018 lineup was bad with Friday the 13th: The Game and Laser League but last month, we changed our minds when we saw PS Plus including games like Soma or Onrush for November 2018, because that just made it worse.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Expansion Announced

FFXIV Fan Festival reveals new teaser of upcoming Shadowbringers expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV.

Back in August, massively multiplayer online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV from the popular Final Fantasy franchise made a crossover with action role-playing game Monster Hunter: World from Capcom in a collaboration event.

Today, in the festive mode of FFXIV Fan Fest in Las Vegas, developer/publisher Square Enix took the stage for director/producer Naoki Yoshida to announce the upcoming third expansion pack, Shadowbringers for the popular MMORPG.

We invite you to witness this brand-new, action-packed teaser trailer heralding the darkness that will arrive in early summer 2019 with Shadowbringers.

The teaser revolves around the battle-worn protagonist having flashbacks of past events and battles where he drew his Gunblade against monstrous creatures. Questions regarding the Warrior of Light and Warrior of Darkness still remain unanswered for a later time.

For those who want to re-experience the story of FFXIV all over again will not have to make a new character to do that. A new game plus option will let you revisit main quests and job quests once again to relive the fantastic plot of the game.

RELATED: Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far Announced for PS4

The expansion seems promising enough for fans to enjoy long after the release of Stormblood now. Like any other previous update, version 5.0 is about to bring an extensive story, new level cap raise from 70 to 80 and several new jobs.

Players are now free to fight back the evil Garlean Empire as Ala Mhigo and Doma are rescued in Stormblood expansion. Of course there will be new areas to discover, new beast tribes, dungeons and much more.

RELATED: Final Fantasy XV DLC Cancelled

The Blue Mage job has been a part of the fantasy universe since Final Fantasy V and FFXIV is not going any further from the tradition of the series. However, this will be a limited job that comes with update 4.5, which is long before the release of the expansion.

Instead of learning through level progression, players will learn job actions from monsters through combat. Blue Mage will begin from a level cap of 50 and the release of Shadowbringers will increase the number with new patches.

RELATED: Final Fantasy Legacy Collection Announced

This job is unique and unlike the other jobs that isn't linked to any class from the game. You might also want to take a look at the reveal, so here it is.

An unknown new playable race has been announced without giving any details but given the dramatic camera zoom focus on Yoshida's t-shirt with a photo of Bugs Bunny on a motorcycle; we believe they are teasing the Viera race of humanoid rabbits from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance to include.

Finally, the game allows you to travel to your friend even if they are playing on a different server. From main cities like Ul’dah, New Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, you can teleport to other worlds. More details on Shadowbringers expansion will follow when they are out.

Best Hunting Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

The fundamentals of a good hunting game are focused on a realistic hunting experience and here are some best hunting games for Consoles or PC.

Traditionally if you wanted to obtain skills for hunting, then your best bet would be to actually be present in the wilds yourself. You would have to learn the tips and tricks that all hunters must follow to hunt effectively and successfully or the help of an experienced hunter you know, to aid you on your first hunting adventure.

However, nowadays you may not need to go through all that trouble, because video games have become quite main-stream over the years and there are plenty of hunting games available on different platforms that can actually give you a realistic hunting experience.

best hunting games pc ps4 xbox one
Best Hunting Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Of course, it may not ever be similar to obtaining first-hand Hunting Experience in the wilds for real but it can still give you an idea of what to really expect out there in a safe controlled environment at the comfort of your own home.

The real-life excitement of it is a lot dimmed down through these simulators but that doesn't mean that it would hurt you to have some fun time with it. So, take a look at some of the best hunting games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

01. The Hunter: Call of the Wild (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
If you are looking for one of the most realistic hunting experience in a game that can almost be passed off as a simulation, then the hunter: Call of the Wild is exactly what you might be looking for. Unlike its predecessors of The Hunter series, it is a one-time purchase game, which can be extended with additional DLC.

The game allows you to hunt in two reserves based on the North American Pacific Northwest. The base game offers 15 animals that can be hunted, which can be expanded to 25 if you purchase all the offered DLCs.

You can use different caliber rifles, shotguns, pistol, and even bows in the game to hunt animals. In order to get the highest score, the player would have to choose the right weapon depending on the type of animal they intend on hunting.

The player is also provided with a camera to take pictures of the different animals, nature, landmarks, and points of interest in the game. There is also a multiplayer component in the game that lets you form a team of up to 8 players.

In order to track animals, you would have to pay close attention to their different voice calls, footprints, droppings and their "need zones" where they usually take shelter. The natural vegetation can be used as cover by players, and they must keep their noise to a minimum to hunt successfully.

2. Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
This game is a bit old, but it is still a pretty good hunting simulation. It was originally created for 7th generation consoles, but it still holds up quite well today. The game offers a single player campaign set in North America.

The player gets to play with four professional big game hunters from the real world who provide advice throughout the campaign. In order to progress, you have to use various weapons such as rifles, bows, and shotguns to hunt animals and complete objectives.

There are four different hunting areas in the game divided into South East, North East, South West, and North West. You have to hunt down special animals known as "game bosses" to unlock the following hunting area.

3. Far Cry 5 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Far Cry 5 isn't one of your conventional hunting games, because the game offers more than just hunting. It is an open world action adventure game set in a fictional region in Montana and deals with your player's attempts at surviving an oppressive cult that has taken over these beautiful lands.

It has some impressive next-generation graphics, and the wilderness in the game really stands out compared to other games. Although it is not focused particularly on hunting, you are given the option to hunt as a side activity that complements the main campaign.

There are a diverse set of animals that make up the ecosystem of the game, and they give you a real sense of danger when you are venturing off alone in the wilds. You have many different weapons to use at your disposal ranging from handguns, shotguns assault rifles, and various throwables.

All of these weapons can be used to hunt animals. The pelts of these animals can also be skinned to be sold at stores to earn in-game currency. Far Cry 5 does not aim to provide a hunting simulation, but it does offer some fun gameplay and a realistic sense of risk as the different animals can attack you at any moment.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Yup, you heard it right! Just like the previous game in this list, this is not a game tailored specifically for hunting either. The game pays homage to classic western movies such as The Wild Bunch and Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy.

It is set in an open world and features a fictionalized version of the Western United States. Although this game is mainly known for its wonderful cinematic single-player campaign following the lives of a bunch of outlaws escaping civilization, it does feature a very realistic hunting side activity.

Although the hunting in this game may not be considered a simulation, it is indeed something very close to a simulation because of the various details and technology that the developers have implemented to bring out the true hunting essence.

When you're off on a hunting adventure in the game, you will have to use the various weapons of that era, such as single-action revolvers, shotguns, rifles, and even bows. Using the wrong kind of weapon on the wrong animal can damage your pelt, so you have to pick your weapon carefully.

You can also hunt down some legendary animals, which provide pelts of the highest quality. Red Dead Redemption 2 also provides a real sense of danger to players, and animals have a keen sense of smell. So you have to be very careful before approaching one.

There are many video games out there that provide an outstanding hunting experience without even being present in the wilds. Hunting, in reality, can sometimes be considered an expensive sport because of the different gears that you require to hunt successfully.

Although video games are not necessarily cheap, they are definitely easier on the wallet in comparison to hunting rifles and other crucial hunting components. Also, you can stay clear from danger as a beginner if you choose to have the hunting experience through a video game.

Even if hunting is something you are not really into, these video games are still a fun way to pass your time and I am sure you won't be disappointed!

PlayStation Plus Free Games for November 2018

PlayStation Plus free games lineup has picked up Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami for the month of November 2018.

Hope you are having a blast this Halloween whether trick or treating or just lazily sitting around playing video games, which is probably your favorite thing to do, right? We are at the endgame of the year 2018 and November seems to be very promising (for now).

Last month, not everyone was impressed with survival horror title Friday the 13th: The Game and futuristic sports game Laser League. So, a new free games lineup of this month for PlayStation Plus subscribers has been carefully chosen this time.

playstation plus free games november 2018
PlayStation Plus Free Games for November 2018

Before we just jump into the PS Plus lineup, let's take a quick look at the short clip below showcasing all the titles for November 2018.

The very first game we got our hands onto is a first-person shooter titled Bulletstorm from People Can Fly and Epic Games that Electronic Arts had the Publishing rights to. You can play it in both solo and co-op mode in a 26th century setup.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition gets you all the exclusive content of the game for a definitive experience. Players will take the role of Grayson Hunt, who runs a black ops team called the Dead Echo and on a mission to either seek payback or survive.

Next up is a remake of the first game from the acclaimed action-adventure Yakuza series, Yakuza Kiwami from Sega and Deep Silver. Originally released on PlayStation 3, the game was later launched on PlayStation 4 in 2016 and now is visually enhanced for 4K.

The game follows the story of Kazuma Kiryu, who is known as the Dragon of Dojima and he takes the fall for a murder of a crime boss at the hands of his friend. When he finally comes out ten years later, he discovers himself in the middle of a mess.

Yakuza Kiwami on PlayStation Plus Free Games

Some more free games from PlayStation Plus lineup for the month of November 2018 is still there and let's take a quick look at the list below.

  • Jackbox Party Pack 2 (PlayStation 3)
  • Arkedo Series (PlayStation 3)
  • Burly Men At Sea (Cross Buy with PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4)
  • Roundabout (Cross Buy with PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4)

If the Battle Royale genre interests you and you don't mind playing H1Z1 (because this is clearly not PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, nor even Fortnite) then we recommend you get the PlayStation Plus Blueshift Pack with goodies for free until November 13.

Hopefully, Bulletstorm and Yakuza Kiwami will be able to sustain you for the month or long enough till games like Battlefield V, Fallout 76 and Spyro Remastered Trilogy comes out and makes you completely forget everything else.
