Insurgency: Sandstorm Delayed to December

The anticipating release of team-based FPS Insurgency: Sandstorm is now delayed to end of the year only week before launch.

So far, the beta for upcoming multiplayer tactical first-person shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm was doing fine with a realistic approach to gameplay, co-op and PvP modes while waiting to release on September 18 for almost all available platforms like Linux, Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

However, only less than a week ago, the game has been delayed to the end of the year by developer New World Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive for optimizing issues.

Even if your try to run Insurgency sequel on a high-end setup, you have to set most of the setting options to "low" just to keep it running, according to the Reddit and Steam Community. Then the decision is made by all parties involved considering those serious spec issues to officially move the release date to December 12, 2018.

Meanwhile, the developers intend to continue working on the issues to make improvements over that and deliver an update that offers a seamless PC experience for players.

In the delayed period of time, New World Interactive intends to upgrade the game to Unreal Engine 4.20 for better optimization. Improvement over animations, character model design and textures are also on their priority list as well as adding some extra cosmetic items.

Trying to remove all bugs, glitches and adding a few more server options to make a better version of the game is also part of the plan. These two months are entirely dedicated to the best interest of their community.

Since the console versions of the game are already delayed earlier to 2019, it is highly unlikely that they would push back that day even further. While they polish the game to run in a lower system requirement, the beta is now extended until the launch date along with the 10% pre-order discount over the $26.99 full-price.

Those who own the original Insurgency game can enjoy 10% loyalty discount till the end March 2019. Considering other rushed titles, it's a good Early Access game.

Rainbow Six Siege Instant Bans for Toxicity

In order to deal with slurs and toxicity in Siege, Ubisoft placed a strict moderation system as a step towards healthy community.

Online toxicity is a major issue these days that it cannot be ignored for any reasons. It often ruins the experience in multiplayer online games for many players. Big name companies like Blizzard, Riot Games and Twitch are on a constant battle with this huge issue but we saw Sea of Thieves handling it like a pro with their unique anti-toxicity strategy back in March 2018 to re-establish order. Recently, Rainbow Six Siege has taken a stance of on this topic but in a very strict way.

With the goal of eradicating hate speech from their tactical shooter game for a healthy playing environment, developer Ubisoft has placed a stern moderating system lately that will detect players using racist slurs, homophobic slurs and any other form of hate speeches against other participants online and will place an immediate ban. It has already started implementing bans on players and is pretty quick in handling the penalty whenever it spots slurs within game’s chat.

RELATED: Rainbow Six Siege New Operators Lion and Finka

For your first offense, you are kicked out for 30 minutes, then it is for 2 hours and following your third time, an official investigation will run over your account which can lead to a permanent ban as well. Yesterday, one curious Reddit user wanted to test "Toxicity Filter" by typing a slur and almost instantly got removed from the match with a ban according to new Code of Conduct for Siege. While some tried to complain on Twitter, Ubisoft was unfazed about their actions.

Whether you are playing Terrorist Hunt or custom games, you could be automatically kicked out of Siege anytime using slurs. Back in April, developers promised to introduce a few features to prevent people from using abusive language during a match. They were about to mute chat text and improve the monitoring system with a chat filter. However, it turned out to be quite different than what everyone thought. Instead of censor texts in chat through an automated system, they are simply removing players.

RELATED: Rainbow Six Siege's Blood Orchid is Bugged

Also, this course of action is currently limited to players on PC, where the monitoring runs rampant. Sony and Microsoft will have to handle the situation on available console platform according to their own policy for community. Siege has an all-time high number of player counts in PC during March and cleaning up in-game environment of abusive language will make the atmosphere more welcoming for new gamers to the title. We believe necessary steps will be taken against hackers next.

Following this stern movement against hate speech, many are really appreciating this initiative while other people are upset for not being able to use those words anymore. However, this feature can easily be misused by someone provoking their competitor into engaging in hate talk and get the boot. Currently in Season 3 of content, Rainbow Six Siege was released back in 2015 from Ubisoft to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Special Operation 1 will help improve Ghosts' stealth skill as they follow legendary Sam Fisher in the field at work. These new challenges will make them more tactical, which actually helps because Ghost Recon Wildlands is a tactical shooter. It wasn't quite long ago when 90's renowned movie monster, The Predator came to tangle with the Ghosts in a PvE mission. Although he was a bit hard on the elite squad and gave them a tough time, they sure learned a thing or two going up against him.

Months ago, we heard a rumor flying of Splinter Cell franchise getting a reboot and we still got no confirmation on that. However, we are glad that Sam Fisher has found a way to come back in action once again even though if it is for a crossover. Voice actor Michael Ironside also returns to portray this iconic character of the series. We might even see him working with special agents of Tom Clancy's The Division in mid-crisis Manhattan of the future shortly afterwards.

Starting from March 6, this four week-long Outbreak Event is going to put the skills of the best operators suited for this job on test. Till now, Outbreak mode was only available on the test servers of Rainbow Six Siege from last month and now that it has gone live, we will meet the elite Rainbow team at Truth or Consequences, New Mexico as it is taken over by a new breed of hostiles that the operators have never encountered before.

Outbreak is the co-op event to play out with an extent of three players and you have to carefully choose your team from a selected group of Operators as weapons and gadgets unique to them can either give you an advantage on the battlefield over your new enemy types or it can set you off balance. It would be for better if you can assemble a balanced team of three with adjustments of defensive and offensive capabilities in them.

Considering the new situation Operation Chimera presents, Operator who can revive teammates who are down but not yet out would be a huge perk. On that regard, Doc or new Operator Finka would be a good choice. The added benefit of picking up Finka is her team-buffing ability called Adrenal Surge. In general cases, shotguns are used to blast through walls but you will find some good use of it against the gruesome foes of Outbreak mode and Tachanka’s Mounted LMG will come in handy for that.

Outbreak brings five unique types of enemies to the table and not any one of them should be taken lightly. The most frequently encountered enemies throughout Outbreak Event have to be the Grunt. The one with spikes and yellow bubbles are the Breacher who loves to breach through your barricades and then explode. Then there are faster enemies called Apex, the ones who would try to trap you are Rooters and hulking sized Smasher.

Outbreak is not for shooting down hostile infected swarm but to uncover the mystery of the carnage that beset on the city of Truth or Consequences. The event will be live from March 6 to April 3 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as you test your skills out in a whole new situation. Since this is no longer a fight against terrorism, the same sort of tactics is better left off and you better form some new ones. Whatever you do, take down your enemies as quickly as possible and build a better defense.

Check out the trailer below from Ubisoft introducing two new Operators Lion and Finka for Operation Chimera.

Ubisoft has a history of adding an attacker and a defender, whenever they release new operators for Rainbow Six Siege but this time they made an exception by giving attacking attributes to Lion & Finka. Besides, previously the developers introduced fresh operators based on real-life Special Forces units of different countries. For Operation Chimera however, they are members of a fictional elite squad named CBRN and are especially trained in biological warfare.

The following trailer clip details the key-features of biohazard specialist Operators Lion and Finka, joining Team Rainbow.

Since Rainbow Six Siege is going to see some odd circumstances this year, Lion and Finka are brought in considering their immense expertise on biohazard. Both of them get to choose from three of their primary weapons and they are Operators with 2-speed and 2-armor. The competitive multiplayer experience will never be the same with these two hanging out with the Rainbow Six team.

Using her Adrenal Surge ability by triggering nanites in their bloodstream, she can give a boost to every member of her team that will reduce recoil and give bonus HP. You can even revive one of the fellow attacker as long as they are just down but not out yet. The boost also lets you pass through pass barbed wire faster and will provide quick recoveries from concussion and flashbang effects. Adrenal Surge are up for use twice in each round.

Operator Lion is French and another newest recruit to the team for Operation Chimera, where the team will need his expertise. He scans the entire map with an aerial drone called EE-One-D for potential enemies and pin-points their location with it. If any member of the attacking team even takes a step, the drone identifies their movement in real-time, making it easy for Lion to take them out. Once he activates it as you can see a live countdown on the screen and should not take a step but you can rotate if you want. In each round, Lion can use up his drone for three times with a cool down period of course.

Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak Details

Ubisoft's tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege has been based known for its parallel run with reality so far but that thing is changing very soon. With the release of upcoming Outbreak event, the series will step into the sci-fi genre and probably even meet aliens. Yes, visitors from outer-space are about to step foot and the elite Rainbow team will have an encounter with the strange visitors on unfriendly turfs.

Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak and Space Capsule

You can stop looking suspicious at us and take a quick look at this newly released short-clip from developer/publisher Ubisoft titled "Space Capsule" to find out if we are kidding or not.

Now that we have successfully established that neither Ubisoft, nor us were not playing cuckoo about the alien matter, let's get onto more details about it. Outbreak is a forthcoming co-op event from the third year of content of Rainbow Six Siege. During Operation Chimera, the event was teased and two brand-new operators, one of whom is specially trained for biological and chemical attacks. All we lacked was information on what sort of quarantined area they will be going into.

RELATED: Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 DLC Announced

Initially, these clues and the biohazard sign on the promotional teaser image suggested that the counter-terrorism operatives of Rainbow Six team will be tasked to take down a zombie epidemic but with the new "Space Capsule" trailer, that changes. So, instead of an undead threat, they will be dealing with extraterrestrial menaces. Apparently, the trouble is originated with a recovered Russian spacecraft in a small town of New Mexico.

An alien parasite that came out of an old Soviet space capsule called the Apex starts transforming the locals into hostile beings. As the extraterrestrial threat starts terrorizing the populace, Smoke, Ying, Buck, Kapkan, Ash, Doc, Tachanka and Glaz will be joined by French Operator Lion and a Russian Operator Finka on a mission to the town of Truth or Consequences. This means, these are the only playable Operators for the Outbreak event and a team of three Operators will be sent in.

RELATED: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege's Blood Orchid is Bugged

Ubisoft has seemingly avoided the word "zombies" in their promotions for and instead are calling them people turning into "horrific creatures" by aliens. There will be five unique types of them with their distinctive abilities for the hot zone specialists Rainbow Six team to take down. Most recently, the developers have also played with the idea of introducing alien threats to another of their real-life like tactical shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands by dropping popular sci-fi character The Predator from the 1987 movie of the same name.

RELATED: Predator Comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands

Outbreak offers you Normal and Pandemic difficulty levels, both having different game-playing style. In Pandemic mode, not only you will come across tough enemies but you can catch on some friendly fires too. That makes your communication a vital point of the game and you need positional awareness at all times. Since your target won't bother getting shot a few times before taking a dig at you, start using the blockades and reinforcements from your surrounding environment smartly.

There are three large exclusive maps to explore that are designed for the purpose for co-op gameplay. With dangers lurking in every corner, the trademark "environmental destruction" of the game is still there for you to blow up and create holes in the wall too. Plus, don't forget about the weapons and uniform cosmetic packs for this timed-event.

The month-long Outbreak event along with Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 will begin on March 6 and will draw conclusion of the co-op on April 3. The content will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One right from the beginning. So, it's at least four weeks of stay in the Quarantine Zone fighting those mutated horrors. While playing Operation Chimera on Rainbow Six Siege technical test servers, players can try out Outbreak from February 20 before it completely releases though.

Predator Comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ubisoft is bringing a surprise guest for their tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands this upcoming week. This guest is mean, have powerful weapons, super stealthy tech, has mandibles hanging over his shoulder and he loves to hunt. Well, it's the legendary movie monster of the 90's, The Predator. This deadly new package will enter the open-world tactical shooter on December 14.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands: Predator Special Event

The jungle hunter Predator had tussled with Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Dutch almost 30 years ago into the woods of Central America, only to be outmatched by the latter. In Ghost Recon Wildlands, your deal with The Predator is pretty simple. You either hunt him down on your own or with your friends in a four players co-op, otherwise, be hunted by him.

RELATED: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands for Xbox One X

Check out the official teaser trailer released by developer Ubisoft to give you a brief glimpse of the jungle hunter, who is here to collect.

Now, after three decades later, the stealthy alien warrior decided to return to the jungles of South America to hunt. Just like we saw in the movie, hunting The Predator will be no walk in the park since he belongs to a race of galaxy's greatest hunters but if you can somehow manage to take him down, you will be rewarded with exclusive items and you get to keep the sick Predator mask, which has thermal vision.

The Predator Pack free DLC is currently available in the in-game store and this one is surely to challenge you to become a better hunter by besting your skills against the alien warrior. This DLC also introduces new moves, weapons and 15 new customization items, all inspired by the film it is based on. If you loved the movie and a fan of Ghost Recon Wildlands, it sure is a great treat for you to play this one.

Also, Ghost Recon Wildlands' very own free PVP mode Ghost War gets a Predator-themed class of soldier modeled over Major Dutch Schaefer. He has a battle rage mode that can swiftly turn the tide of the fight to his own ends. Heck, we see one of the soldiers resembled to Billy Sole while we watched the trailer and even thought one of them to be truly Blain Cooper to be honest. The DLC is designed to make you feel the same uncertain tensions Dutch and his crew went through back then.

Legend of the Wildlands

The Ghost Recon developer team has been a huge fan of Schwarzenegger's Predator movie of the 1987 and they were greatly excited when they got to bring not only the jungle hunter Predator from that film but also most of the setup where the event took place. The Legends of the Wildlands and Fallen Ghost DLC were the primary source of inspiration for the team to work on something like the Predator Pack in first place.
