Overwatch League is Exclusively on Twitch

This January 10, 2018, is marked to be the for the first Overwatch League tournament, which will take the standards of esports to another level. Realizing the potential of this contest, live streaming video platform Twitch have just announced that they have secured a media rights partnership deal for Overwatch League for the next two years with the game's creator studio Blizzard Entertainment, which will give them access to broadcast the contest live worldwide.

The first match of the tournament will take place between the San Francisco Shock and the Los Angeles Valiant, which starts at 4PM PST, on January 10. You can watch all the past matches that are archived on the Videos tab of the site and live matches will be available to watch on Twitch and at mlg.tv. Aside from Twitch, Blizzard's very own Overwatch League website will also be broadcasting match feeds as well as their app on smart phones.

As the exclusive worldwide third-party broadcaster for Overwatch League, Twitch will be streaming matches in English, French and Korean. However, China does not include being in this deal. The partnership also brings unique reward system for the most dedicated viewers of the league with Overwatch in-game exclusive items. In celebration of the event's launch, a new update released by Blizzard Entertainment introduced a couple of new skins.

Since various professional Overwatch teams will try to take on each other in this team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter, the arena is about to become a center of interest for millions of esports spectators. Blizzard Entertainment presents Overwatch is currently available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
