BioWare Teased Dragon Age Announcement

Developer BioWare hinted at possible announcement of an upcoming sequel of their fantasy RPG franchise Dragon Age.

While talking about their upcoming project Anthem, developer BioWare has revealed that they are also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff and thus, straight out hinted at an upcoming announcement of something big at The Game Awards 2018.

General Manager Casey Hudson of BioWare mentioned their work as "secret" in a Blog Post and given the upcoming event is a place for companies to reveal their upcoming release, a new game from their fantasy RPG franchise would not be a shocker.

We thought we would straight up quote Casey Hudson on what he just wrote in his Blog for your own convenience.

If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff.  Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy.  Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)

Players clearly have their fond memories with the first game, Dragon Age: Origins for countless hours and now that executive producer of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mark Darrah is involved, we can hope for a fourth installment currently in development.

Inquisition was also the last game that came out in 2014 and followed up by downloadable contents till 2015. The studio also disclosed adding Alexis Kennedy of Failbetter Games as a guest writer for the next project of the series to expand a bit of lore.

We just hope and pray that this announcement doesn't end up being some major disaster like the reveal event of Diablo Immortal, because people didn't expect a mobile-only new game that was so hyped up from the past few months of the big reveal.

Hopefully, BioWare won't make a stupid move like that and whatever they are cooking up and ready to announce soon will be a new release for PC and other major consoles, so that the franchise can return to its glory days once again.
