Electronic Arts is planning to reveal EA Sports UFC 4 at upcoming UFC 251 event, according to official source.

Seeing EA not revealing UFC series this year, many players started assuming whether they are going to push back the series for a while. It turns out that EA actually wanted to announce next installment of EA Sports UFC on a later date.

UFC 4 will soon be revealed during UFC 251 event in Abu Dhabi, according to a recent post from official Instagram account of UFC Russia, which came out as a regular advertisement on social media handle and not an accidental leak.

After two years of waiting since EA Sports UFC 3 came out, EA has finally decided to reveal UFC 4 following a scheduled Pay Per View fight between Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and Muslim Salikhov at UFC 251, on July 11, 2020.

Given their timing, EA Sports UFC 4 may arrive by the end of 2020 for last-gen consoles. However, previous series trend suggests a release window in first half of a year, hinting at possible next-gen release (or cross-gen) set for 2021.

Star Wars: Squadrons Announced

EA Motive announces rumored Project Maverick to be new starfighter combat game Star Wars: Squadrons.

Back in February, a leaked image at PlayStation Network has revealed upcoming Star Wars game titled "Project Maverick", which publisher Electronic Arts said nothing about and they simply that image from PSN afterwards.

Shortly after getting leaked on official Xbox website earlier today, developer EA Motive has finally announced their latest venture Star Wars: Squadrons, scheduled for a reveal at EA Play 2020 on June 15, 8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM EDT.

Squadrons will be a multiplayer focused title that also features a single-player campaign, similar to Star Wars Battlefront II by EA Dice. Players would engage in aerial combat on space, piloting iconic star ships from Star Wars franchise.

Many have originally predicted that Project Maverick will get a showcase at recent PlayStation 5 Reveal Event but that never happened and it took another leak at Xbox website when EA Motive finally decided to offer an early peek.

EA also shared a promotional image on official Twitter account for Star Wars titles ahead of its major reveal.

Reportedly a Battlefront II spin-off game, SW: Squadrons centers its gameplay aspects on interstellar combat and spacecrafts piloting without allowing players to run and gun, which is somewhat similar to Starfighter Assault mode.

New Star Wars Game May be Revealed Next Week

EA Motive joins Twitter only to spark rumors of next Star Wars game online, which is likely to reveal next week.

After barely surviving loot box controversy back in 2017 for action shooter title Star Wars Battlefront II, developer Respawn Entertainment has saved face for publisher Electronic Arts with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order last year.

A sequel to Fallen Order has already been greenlit and recent Reddit threads full of teases from industry reporters hints that EA is very much likely to reveal their next Star Wars project sooner than you think, probably in June 2020.

In early March, an accidental leak at PlayStation Network revealed an image for Star Wars: Project Maverick, which was eventually deleted from PSN shortly afterwards and Electronic Arts neither confirmed nor denied about the game.

Many are speculating that Project Maverick will be showcased at upcoming PlayStation 5 reveal event on June 4, 2020. However, since Disney or EA has not officially confirmed anything yet, fans would be wise to take it with a grain of salt.

Battlefront II co-developer and Canada based studio EA Motive has joined Twitter lately and journalist Jason Schreier replied to their first Tweet, hinting that they are probably getting ready for a new game announcement soon.

Schreier also stated that Motive will soon be revealing a new Star Wars game in his follow-up Tweet. He linked to an article from February about a cancelled Battlefront spin-off game from last year that they are currently working on.

Schreier pointed out to focus on last paragraph of his article where he wrote about EA Motive handling an unusual project for next generation of consoles that was originally codenamed Viking, now known as Star Wars: Project Maverick.

Jeff Grubb offered another piece of that puzzle by sharing his Summer Game Mess schedule full of upcoming game announcements and digital events on Twitter, where he cryptically lists "Mel Gibson picture" entry for June 2, 2020.

Battlefield 5 to Get Final Update in June 2020

EA DICE announced that upcoming content release for Battlefield V to be their next and final update for the game.

Back in January 2020, first-person World War II shooter game Battlefield V players on all platforms received new gears and weapons in latest free content update Chapter 6: Into the Jungle that took everyone to Pacific Theater.

Into the Jungle is scheduled to end this summer on April 29 and developer EA DICE were to deliver another update, which DICE has recently confirmed to be their next and final update for Battlefield 5 in response to a fan on Twitter.

Senior producer Ryan McArthur has revealed in a blog post that upcoming standalone update would feature new content, in-game tweaks and weapons. However, there were no details on exactly what their next patch will be focusing on.

DICE is currently planning for a June 2020 release but this launch window may get pushed back due to developers working from home amidst recent lockdown for global COVID-19 pandemic and will inform of any further changes next month.

DICE moving on from content delivering doesn't necessarily mean that there will be no updates in future at all. B5 dev team will be hosting regular weekly events and offer Company Coin rewards as they try to improve their anti-cheat system.

BV featured battle royale mode, multiplayer matches, vehicular combat and a single-player campaign with multiple chapters. Debuted through Tides of War experience, these chapters are centered on various theatres of war from WWII.

Battlefield 5 moved away from its traditional "Premium Pass" system that would allow players to purchase game modes and map packs. Instead, publisher Electronic Arts chose to add these contents in post-launch period through a live service.

Receptions of players were mixed towards this model since B5 saw a shallow launch and had many features missing. Nevertheless, EA CEO Andrew Wilson decided to continue a live service business mode for next Battlefield game.

Star Wars: Project Maverick Leaked on PlayStation Network

A recent leak on PlayStation Network has revealed an unannounced new title Star Wars: Project Maverick.

It goes without saying that 2019 action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has performed way better than expected upon launch and developer Respawn Entertainment has reportedly started working on a sequel already.

A recent leak at PlayStation Network has found an image for new PlayStation 4 game that was titled Star Wars: Project Maverick, which is yet to be confirmed by publisher Electronic Arts and has been removed from PSN shortly afterwards.

Mustafar was first shown in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith and became a sanctuary for Darth Vader. Various animated series, comics, novels and Star Wars films have frequently featured this volcanic planet.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Hits 8 Million Sales

Electronic Arts sold around 8 million copies of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order since its release back in November 2019.

Despite their lack of faith in single-player games and heavy interest towards live services as a publisher, Electronic Arts has been surprised by amazing success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from developer Respawn Entertainment.

According to a new industry report that came after Q3 earnings call of investors, EA revealed that Jedi: Fallen Order has sold nearly eight million copies in last quarter of 2019, which is far beyond than what they originally expected.

Blake Jorgensen, chief financial officer of EA states that they had a set expectation of selling 6 to 8 million copies by fiscal year, on March 31. By December 2019, 8 million units were sold and now they are raising that estimate to 10 million.

Jorgensen has admitted that this unforeseen success has been a direct result of a single-player action game. Chief executive Andrew Wilson adds that fans were looking forward to an experience like Fallen Order for holiday season.

He credited Respawn for delivering a high quality experience and a gameplay mechanics that everyone loved. Last year, they released free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends that instantly rose to popularity and now on its third season.

EA executives are also very much eager to keep pushing continued triumph of FIFA and Madden series. Two of their most recent releases; Need for Speed: Heat and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville was mentioned as well.

Latest job postings from Respawn Entertainment hints at a possible sequel of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Although claiming that "single-player games are dead" for years, publisher Electronic Arts has finally been proven dead wrong with latest release of action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order back in November 2019.

Many longtime fans believe this third-person experience to be one of the best Star Wars video games till date and according to recent job postings by developer Respawn Entertainment, Jedi: Fallen Order may be getting a sequel.

Respawn is currently looking for hiring a Level Designer, Senior Character Artist and Senior Software Engineer for their Star Wars team to work on a third-person action/adventure game, which clearly fits with Fallen Order.

Of course a new vacancy announcement simply gives no assurance of anything about a new project or an approach to a direct sequel definitively but in many cases, it turns out to be exactly that when a confirmation comes later.

Jedi: Fallen Order has already broken sales records for Electronic Arts in less than a month. Brand Strategy Director for Respawn, Charlie Houser states that their team would love to continue the journey of Jedi Cal Kestis in future.

In spite of having some very minor gameplay issues and needless cosmetic upgrades, fans were simply happy to enjoy a Star Wars experience from EA after long time that doesn't contain any greedy micro-transaction schemes.

Disney gave license to make games based on Star Wars universe to EA back in 2013 and it would last for another four more years at least. Given their recent success of Fallen Order, that contract can easily be renewed for an extended period.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. If a possible sequel from Respawn ever happens, it will probably launch on next-gen consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

BioWare Exec Producer Teased Dragon Age

Mike Darrah, executive producer at BioWare, simply Tweets "Dragon Age" to tease a possible reveal soon.

Last year, General Manager Casey Hudson of developer BioWare hinted at dark fantasy role-playing series Dragon Age shortly before an awaited reveal of Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises at The Game Awards 2018.

Currently in development under that name, fans in general are calling the title Dragon Age 4 and executive producer Mike Darrah has taken social media to tease fans on some upcoming announcement shortly before TGA this year.

For over a year, there was no update on how they are progressing and that lead many to wonder whether there is any issue. Although, developers didn't say anything about current state of work but they always dismissed any concerns.

Just as they did earlier this month on 5th anniversary of Dragon Age: Inquisition by posting a letter from in-game character Solas, a random tease like this just before yearend and ahead of a grand ceremony like TGA can lead to some new reveal.

Mike Darrah has taken Twitter to type nothing but simply "Dragon Age" and that was enough to have everyone guessing.

It came shortly after BioWare revealed plans of working on a massive overhaul of their most-anticipated title Anthem. When they showed a trailer for "The Dread Wolf Rises" last year, the game was on an early stage of development.

A new trailer for Dragon Age 4 might be on its way to be shown at The Game Awards 2019, which is only two weeks away from now. Therefore, Darrah can very well have the pleasure of teasing eager fans a little in advance with his Tweets.

BioWare to Overhaul Anthem

BioWare is reportedly planning for an overhaul for Anthem to bring it back through a massive update.

Though many have speculated for online multiplayer action role-playing game Anthem from developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts to be the biggest release of 2019, it has completely failed to live up to that expectation.

Despite major faction of player community abandoning the game, developers are reportedly working on a huge update in an attempt to revive the anticipated loot shooter, which would either be called "Anthem 2.0" or "Anthem Next".

RELATED: Rust Announced for PS4 and Xbox One

It all started with BioWare trying to publish an unfinished game that they had no clear vision for and then people who bought the game at full price starts seeing a series of problem it has in terms of content as well as many balance issues.

Morale among their development team had been at all time low and lead producer Ben Irving chooses to leave company three months ago. Following his departure, head of live service and community, Chad Robertson quickly took over.

RELATED: Netflix's The Witcher Season 2 Confirmed

Moving ahead, he promised more transparency of work to fans but eventually, Robertson left his position earlier this month. Although he claimed that Anthem is currently in good hands, it is yet not clear who is leading the project right now.

At this point, many sources even started speculating whether the game is dead but recent report suggest that BioWare and EA has not given up support yet as they are planning to introduce a massive overhaul to save it.

RELATED: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Title Update Live Now

BioWare is preparing a total revamp in a last ditch effort to revive Anthem and are early stage of planning. Whether these updates would be launched one by one or roll out an entirely new game as "Anthem 2.0" or "Anthem Next" is not clear yet.

They can either release periodical series of patches like No Man's Sky or follow model of Destiny: The Taken King. This probably is why they have abandoned a planned roadmap of post-launch content to offer an improved experience.

RELATED: Breath of the Wild Sequel Rumored to Release in 2020

Since their continued support has been lackluster so far, one can only wonder how BioWare is doing on their latest plan. If they ended up releasing a brand-new product, then original players should be allowed to chime in for free.

Since most recent updates did very little to excite their deprived fan-base and Cataclysm mode has performed poorly, developers are to streamline mission structure and loot system of this multiplayer shooter title to address known issues.

Redemption stories in video game are very rare but sometime there are great comeback stories like No Man's Sky with their regular updates or like Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which saw a complete makeover from scratch.

Electronic Arts have even added Anthem to their EA Access catalog of title back in September, only seven months within release. Although, we don't have an official confirmation yet, a complete rework of gameplay systems is likely to come soon.

After years of hiding in shadows, Cal was ousted to Empire when he is caught saving his friend using the Force and became a target for Second Sister. He found a new ally in Cere Junda, who becomes a mentor figure to him and guides him through.

Despite many players are still hesitant to trust EA because of their past attempt to include loot boxes and pay-to-win mechanics in Star Wars Battlefront II back in 2017, Respawn has worked really hard to deliver a great Star Wars game for fans.

Electronic Arts can finally win over fans with release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order next month as it has every potential to become a great single-player experience that players has been asking for years, minus any shoddy micro-transactions.

EA Games Returning to Steam

EA games are finally coming back to Steam, with titles like Jedi: Fallen Order and EA Access subscription service.

Back in 2014, EA Access was revealed for Xbox One before coming to PC as Origin Access and now is out on PlayStation 4 platform too. Though they were doing okay, it probably has failed to gain as much traction as EA expected.

This huge power move from Electronic Arts and Valve will surely benefit developers and players from PC gaming community while work on to improve their company image to public in an age of competitive marketplace.
