Battlefield V Firestorm Battle Royale Gameplay Trailer

Firestorm Battle Royale mode will bring new aspects to last-man-standing shooter and comes to Battlefield 5 on March 25.

Though first-person shooter Battlefield V from developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts didn't fare well when it was released back in November 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, many hoped for the post-launch content to change that.

Battlefield fans were hoping that upcoming Battle Royale mode Firestorm would really shake things up for good and we even had an early peak at it from a leaked footage. We saw an official introductory video of what it is about and now there is more.

A more detailed gameplay trailer has been dropped by EA for players to know more about what they are getting into.

We saw four player squads dropping in parachutes from above and then immediately forced to engage in a combat within a massive sandbox where they all race against a deadly ring of fire quickly consuming everything on its path of destruction.

Firestorm mostly embraces different gunplay mechanics of BV along with combat vehicles, destructible surroundings and impressive visuals. It offers you a wide array of different rides at launch, including a tractor with mounted cannon on its back.

Whether you are roaming on land, sky or water, with or without assistance, always have a look out for someone trying to ambush on you even if you are in an armored vehicle, because enemies can always fire up some anti-vehicle weapon at you.

You will also be looking for common, rare and epic weapons throughout the map while sometime even came across strongboxes or safes to get the best loots available but chances are, there will be some risks of going after them as well.

Struggle for survival is real in this World War I era based last-man-standing shooter title but there are some powerful land vehicles stored in lockup houses that would take some effort to open before you get some advantage over your opponents.

Basically, this gameplay trailer is an extended version of the official Firestorm reveal trailer for Battlefield V that DICE released about a week ago with detailed definition for things and stuffs, with additional footage capturing the intensity of the 64 players Battle Royale mode.

Battlefield V Firestorm Official Reveal

Official Firestorm reveal trailer for Battle Royale mode of Battlefield V heralds the release date to be March 25.

Even though standard Battle Royale games offer a 100 player stand-off to death, developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts will allow only 64 to compete in Firestorm mode of their latest first-person shooter game Battlefield V.

A statement issued back in October 2018 announced that players will not receive battle royale mode until March 2019 and now, March 25 is revealed to be the release date for it to all BFV players worldwide via a new trailer dropped by EA.

Check out the brand-new official reveal trailer for Firestorm, featuring brief battle royale action sequences from Battlefield 5.

RELATED: Battlefield V: Tides of War Chapter 2: Lighting Strikes Release Date

The trailer starts with a typical style for last-man-standing shooter where we see soldiers jumping off planes in parachute to their destined battleground and help each other out to bring them to their feet, only to notice other squads to drop nearby.

Then they each head to nearby establishments to seek cover and weapons, followed by a shootout between two parties. Bombs starts dropping from above when a red flare is shot at the house next to barn filled with a rival group.

RELATED: Battlefield V Player Visibility Issues Experiment

The gang who arrived first is now out in the open and one of their members finds a tractor that they use to ram through opposing force to break out of the barn they were in. To evade an ever imposing ring of fire on them, they all hop in a helicopter found close at hand.

Moving to a new land to fight, they come across an enemy boat and one of them is lost in the ensuing gunfire. By the time they reach to ground, tanks are deployed, dams are destroyed, forests are burnt and the fire is closing in quicker.

RELATED: Xbox One Bundle Deals to Save $50

The fight reaches to a climax and the leader of the group draws out his melee weapon to charge at an enemy when he is out of ammo and another of his squad member bites the dust while one of his teammates attempts to shoot that man by targeting him via rifle scope.

Introducing Battlefield's biggest map ever from DICE team, Firestorm lets player engage solo or in 4-person squads as they collect loots and unlock vehicles to ride to victory parade aside from calling in V-1 flying bomb for reinforcements.

RELATED: Battlefield V Battle Royale Firestorm Footage Leaked

Despite a lot of complaints against the developers for failing to live up to expectation and release of an early leaked footage of Battle Royale mode, Firestorm trailer still manages to shine and promise players a great experience that would probably help them redeem themselves.

Set on World War II era, Battlefield V is currently available for everyone to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Though it may sound a little disappointing but those who want to play in duos will have to wait till April 2019 for the mode to finally arrive on the game.

Apex Legends Rumored to Include Titans

Respawn Entertainment is rumored to add giant robot Titans to their sensational battle royale shooter Apex Legends.

Ever since developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts came up with free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One based on their renowned Titanfall series, it has taken over the genre.

Although we are not getting Titanfall 3 anytime soon, Respawn is rumored to add iconic mech-styled Titans from the series to this latest Battle Royale spin-off title that has already topped 50 million player counts within a month of release.

Even before the game arrived for all, people were hoping to see those hulking machines rampaging throughout the battlegrounds but no one really was quite sure how they would fit into the gameplay mechanics of the title.

Set in Titanfall universe after the events of Titanfall 2, the last-man-standing shooter takes place on a lawless sector of victorious militia force Frontier called the Outlands. So, those 20-feet tall machines can start stomping around the landscape of Apex anytime now.

Below is the video with information that has been causing all the stirring about Titans into Apex Legends battle royale lately.

The clip is taken from an early and unreleased build of Apex that features voice lines uttered by a Pathfinder that includes mention of Infected, Reapers, Spectres and Stalkers other than Titans, all belonging to the same fictional universe.

All three of Reapers, Spectres and Stalkers are known ground enemy types from previous games of the franchise. "Infected Coming In" line probably refers to players infecting other rivals to join their side much like Halo's "Infected" mode.

If these robots are included as all-new enemy classes, then we might very well be getting a PvPvE mode where aside from killing each other, players have to worry about and stay alert from being ambushed by these dreaded enemies as well.

On its second month from global launch, Apex Legends has already managed to gather a massive community of players who are eagerly waiting for their first major content update and we sincerely hope that Respawn will make it worth for everyone.

Battlefield V Battle Royale Firestorm Footage Leaked

Scheduled to come in spring 2019, video of battle royale mode "Firestorm" for Battlefield V has been leaked online.

Ever since first-person shooter title Battlefield V from developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts is launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last year, it has been in series of troubles but players are still waiting for some of its post-launch content.

After waiting for months, fans are finally getting an early look at the game's battle royale mode, Firestorm through a leaked tutorial video slightly ahead of an official reveal, which was set to arrive at some point on March 2019.

Below is the actual leaked footage of "Firestorm" Battle Royale mode of Battlefield 5 that has found its way online, offering an early glimpse.

RELATED: Battlefield V Player Visibility Issues Experiment

Though many already knows that Firestorm is designed as a last-man-standing shooter on World War II premise where 64 player will try to hunt each other down for the ultimate glory but there will be twist on traditional Battle Royale fashion.

According to the leaked BV clip, you can jump into the middle of action after picking from Solo, Duo and Squads options. Scavenging for items and weapons will begin as soon as people are dropped on the open-world map in parachute.

RELATED: Battlefield V Multiplayer Trailer

Depending on where you chose to land, availability of loot would vary from their quantity and type. As landing spots, urban areas will reward players with more gear but would also present great challenges as everyone else would be after them.

Throughout the map, you will come across objectives and safes that will lead you to combat vehicles, rare items and reinforcements. These are the tools with advantages that one needs to change the course of fight and secure victory in the end.

RELATED: Battlefield V Delay Hurts EA Stock Price

Weapon categories are divided into three different tiers; Common, Rare and Epic, all requiring unique ammo and not much of them can be carried. So, inventory management skill would come in handy or you can share loot with your teammates until you find a backpack to extend slots.

Class specific perks are not a part of Firestorm battle royale mode as you and your squad is fighting for life. Downed players can still use their sidearm while being revived by some allies but it would only work as long as you don't bleed out completely.

RELATED: Battlefield V Single Player Story Trailer

In overall comparison, B5 apparently made many improvements to the genre that would hopefully get enough traction and responding to the original Reddit leak, EA took Twitter to state that there are more to come than what we just saw here. Can't wait to find that out!

Although there are no respawning like Apex Legends and no 100-player support like we have in Fortnite or Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, Battlefield V is adding their own unique takes to make Battle Royale mode great again.

Apex Legends Crosses 50 Million Players

With only four weeks after release, free-to-play Battle Royale game Apex Legends has gained 50 million players.

Launching out of nowhere on February 4, 2019, free-to-play Battle Royale game Apex Legends from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts hit the video gaming industry like a wrecking ball and owned it.

The game has been passing one after another milestone ever since it is released and just within four weeks after it initially came out, Respawn's Titanfall series spin-off has successfully managed to hit a whooping 50 million overall player count.

When the game went live, a staggering one million players joined to compete against each other in first eight hours, which grew into an impressive 2.5 million count over PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide by the end of that day.

Soon, people from all over the world took notice of its presence and quickly start comparing it to the closest market competitor, Fortnite Battle Royale, which is another Battle Royale game that has seen a booming growth in a very short time.

RELATED: TERA X PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Collaboration Event

Fortnite took an entire 16 weeks to amass 45 million players but back then, that number was pretty remarkable. After its launch in September 2017, the game picked up 125 million players and accomplished 200 million participants so far.

However, Apex has gathered more than what Epic Games' last-man-standing shooter did in a couple of months but at an incredibly faster rate by reaching 50 million players mark in 28 just days, thus putting other titans of the industry in shame.

RELATED: Apex Legends Free Loot on Twitch Prime

Fortnite originally launched with a co-op survival game mode titled Save the World but failed to gain traction from players until they came up with free-to-play Battle Royale component. Aside from a massive player base, it garnered cultural relevance and huge popularity.

Although both Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds are still ruling champions when it comes to Battle Royale genre, Apex Legends surely is a new champion on the rising and probably the competition that can possibly overthrow the reigning supreme.

The game surely turned heads with so many incredible features and created the right amount of hype but got into the skepticism of many with their disastrous demo launch, overly complex release schedule and overpriced cosmetic loot boxes in general.

Overall, Anthem could live up to be its own title with true potential given some time and even have a great fan-following like Destiny franchise. BioWare currently has plans of releasing post-launch content and updates to support the game for long.

Titanfall Battle Royale Apex Legends is Releasing Soon

According to reports, a free-to-play Titanfall Battle Royale game titled Apex Legends is coming very soon from Respawn Entertainment.

Though involvement of Electronic Arts as a publisher can ruin pretty much everything, first-person shooter game series Titanfall from developer Respawn Entertainment did quite well and even saw release of a sequel that met with mostly positive reviews.

Apparently, the developers were busy working on a Battle Royale game set in the Titanfall universe for some time and they were about to announce it on Monday, same day when they also planned to launch the title before the news got leaked.

Before any confirmation comes from the company, many news outlets have picked the news after YouTube channel TheQuartering has covered the news only for eSports journalist Rod Breslau and Jason Schreier of Kotaku eventually confirming it.

No Titans will be featured in gameplay and heroes will have unique abilities based on their classes. It got leaked after they invited a group of top streamers and eSports professionals to test play and they couldn't hold their excitement any longer.

There was supposed to be an initial heads-up on Saturday before they made an official announcement on Monday, which will also be available to play on the same day. Popular video game streamers like Dr DisRespect and Shroud are named to provide sources for this scoop.

The original title from 2014 was loved by the critics and fans alike, leading to Titanfall 2 in 2016 that has also received critical acclaim. Despite many having anticipated a third installment from the series, we are getting a Battle Royale title for now instead.

Apex Legends plans to feature micro-transactions of loot boxes for cosmetic items and this new shooter will run on a modified version of Valve's Source engine. They are taking a very much similar approach like popular hero shooter Overwatch.

Battlefield V Player Visibility Issues Experiment

YouTuber Jackfrags exhibits how Battlefield 5 allows you to hide in plain sight in hilariously ridiculous manner.

The latest in the line of Battlefield first-person shooter titles, Battlefield V was a game from developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts that players were looking forward to with high regards but it came out greatly disappointing for both fans and studios.

Aside from failing to receive a decent amount of pre-order for the title and getting into controversy of enraging fans on social media, BV has its fair share of issues like player visibility problem that even bugs the die-hard series fans.

Before the guy got killed for the first time in the clip, he has shown just how difficult it is for some players to see others and he ran past the guy next to him to prove that and even sat next to him while someone else pass him by before being shot down by someone else.

All of this happened in a real live server where he had a hard time getting noticed by enemies running around him. On his next try, he goes into the middle of a conflict and idly sits there to prove that people actually cannot see foes coming at them at times.

He goes into the Devastation map to conduct an experiment by lying in open or down by come corridor only to see everyone running past him ignoring his existence as if his character has vanished from sight. We promise that you won't believe your eyes when you will see it.

Earlier, the developer made adjustments for time-to-kill values to make it less punishing for normies that led to many seasoned players start voicing concerns over the change and the game suffered a huge hit to the player count.

RELATED: Battlefield V Multiplayer Trailer

DICE has just rolled out their second major B5 expansion "Lighting Strikes" for free last week along with resolve for few gameplay issues but not resolving some basic issues like player visibility isn't going to help them much in the long-run.

Of course, the team behind Battlefield 5 has done a great service to fans by getting rid of the "Premium Pass" from game and moving away from their games-as-service philosophy was highly appreciated but they have to fix the game first to deal with the growing community frustration.

RELATED: Battlefield V Won't Have Premium Pass

Studios involved to the game handled it so poorly that it couldn't make it to the list of best-selling games for year 2018, which is the first time in the Battlefield series history but Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on the other hand has made it to the list with ease.

In any way, Battlefield V is not a bad game but studio approach for fixing those issues from DICE and EA was so poor that many hardcore player of this online shooter are abandoning ship. It is not a question whether or not they can; it's a question of when they would focus on the problem?

BioWare has repeatedly tried to revive Knights of the Old Republic series and failed to do so because of EA.

Based on the mythos of Star Wars fantasy universe, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was a joint effort of making a role-playing game by developer BioWare and publisher Lucas Arts back in 2003 that many fans cherishes till date.

This critically acclaimed title received a sequel next year from Obsidian Entertainment and multiple attempts from the original developer to bring a third game was unsuccessful because apparently, Electronic Arts will not allow that to happen anytime soon.

Of course, KOTOR didn't have high quality graphics like any of the modern day titles nor had exquisite multiplayer features, the RPG offered people to make plot decisions. Most importantly, it was free from the corporate greed that players know as micro-transactions.

The game took place 4,000 years before the formation of Galactic Empire where you, as a Jedi would venture through galaxy to defeat an assembled Sith army of Darth Malak while also choosing an alignment with light or dark side of the Force.

Both of these titles were not part of Star Wars canon anymore when Disney took over the franchise but later, Season 4 of Star Wars Rebels animated series made the lore relevant again by making reference of events taking place during KOTOR.

BioWare later released an MMORPG titled Star Wars: The Old Republic in 2011 to continue the series and fans have heard about a lot of rumor from 2017 of rebooting the series but all of them were eventually shot down with no hopes for revival.

In response to a fan hoping for a reboot or sequel, renowned video game journalist Jason Schreier revealed the true scenario in a Tweet.

Although EA has exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games after they made a deal with Disney, all they did for the last few years is cancelled more games than they released. In their latest venture, they managed to heavily enrage the fans with Star Wars Battlefront II loot box controversy.

When they recently cancelled an open-world game code-named "Ragtag" being developed under Visceral Games, Rogue One co-writer Gary Whitta simply states that Disney should pull the plug on their Star Wars license deal with EA and be done with it.

According to Schreier, EA has shot down multiple attempts from the developers of Knights of the Old Republic to revive the series aside from canning several other Star Wars projects from some of their acquired studios to rush other games.

With their current development philosophy and games-as-service approach, EA is burning cash and shoving beloved game franchises to drain for no good reason. Seeing their recent behavior, we have good reasons to believe that they have been corrupted by the Dark Side.

Rogue One Writer Wants Disney to Replace EA for Star Wars Games

Co-writer of Rogue One, Gary Whitta believes Disney should pull the plug on their Star Wars license deal with Electronic Arts.

Fans of Star Wars franchise doesn't take any mishandling to their beloved franchise kindly and the way video game publisher Electronic Arts has been treating the licensed properties they received rights to from Disney are absolutely infuriating for anyone who loves them.

Avid video game fan and screenwriter Gary Whitta (After Earth, The Book of Eli), who is widely known for his involvement in story development for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story joins host Greg Miller in the daily podcast of Kinda Funny Games to talk about that.

Following Disney and EA making a decade-long deal that gave the latter exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games, fans have had a lot of expectation for the upcoming years to get some super exciting titles set in the fictional universe created by George Lucas.

The studio even acquired Battlefield series creator DICE, Titanfall development studio Respawn Entertainment and even Visceral Games who were responsible for the Dead Space trilogy but what they have done so far is not looking very good.

We are in 2019 and by now, all we have so far is just two installments out of their Star Wars Battlefront series. What we should also take to account is that their greedy approach to include loot boxes within the game has caused major backlash for Star Wars Battlefront II.

In their next insane move, EA went ahead and cancelled an ongoing project code-named "Ragtag" by Visceral, an open-world game from the known franchise. Seeing all these catastrophic action, we have a bad feeling about the fate of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Like any other rational fans of Star Wars, Gary Whitta thinks this is embarrassing and Disney should pull the plug on their deal to take away their license from EA if there is any way for them even though they are only half-way through.

Although he has faith on the upcoming third-person Star Wars game that Respawn has been working on, he really cannot rely on their decision making process after seeing them cancelling project Ragtag that was essentially a "Star Wars Uncharted" game.

Of course Whitta doesn't voice his concern about the situation from a position of power, neither does he takes business decisions for them but his obvious frustration over their repeated failure is something that the fans can clearly relate to.

As a media giant, Disney should care for the franchise by cutting all ties to the publisher and explore other options for the sake of their own reputation. Obviously, there are many other established and indie studios capable of doing justice to Star Wars.
