Anthem E3 Trailer

BioWare and EA finally showcased its shared world action-RPG of Anthem during EA Play, coming in February 2019.

After Mass Effect: Andromeda saw an unexpected sales drop in 2017; developer Bioware and publisher Electronic Arts effectively killed the Mass Effect series. All of their efforts are then invested into the Anthem game project, which also happens to be one of the top 10 most anticipated video games of 2018. We've been promised to get some glimpse at the game in development for some time after it was teased back at E3 2014 but had no luck so far until now.

In its E3 2018 reveal, open-world action role-playing game Anthem unveils a brand-new cinematic trailer that will give the fans enough reasons to wait some more till it releases.

This expansive trailer offers a much better look and understanding of Anthem game, which is set in a futuristic dystopia. Civilization is ruined long ago but humanity still managed to save itself by surrounding some sort of wall around. Bio-mechanical extra-terrestrial creatures are rampaging everywhere and a small band of human survivors forming a fraction known as Freelancers wearing Javelin exosuit fights back in groups against those hostiles a savage environment.

Judging by its action-based gameplay, it is safe to assume that Bioware is finally stepping out of their comfort zone to create something extraordinary. Some are even saying that Anthem is going straight for Destiny's throat but we need to consider that both are two different types of game. After fighting long period in development hell, we sure are glad to see the game finally coming out of closet and hope that EA does not mess it up post-launch with some of their corporate agenda!

Anthem is an online multiplayer action role-playing game from Bioware and EA, which is set to release in February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While many players are trying to compare the game to Mass Effect and Dragon Age, it actually departs itself from any past influence of studio's previous projects to create a persona of its own. Another video featuring gameplay details is about to drop soon and by the time the game releases, we will likely be seeing more footage of Anthem as well.
