Mercenaries are armed with cyber themed gears and weaponries to slay oncoming horde of Zeds with ruthless efficiency. One of the finest new additions is Helios Rifle that fires off plasma balls in three round bursts or in full auto mode.

This new powered assault rifle is designed for Firebug perk to cook those rotten fleshes with energy rounds and explode them inside out. Another energy based weapon for gory destruction is called Killerwatt, which is for Survivalist perk.

Operating on two different modes, the rifle either fires high-velocity wave of electricity bolts in automatic rounds or can be used to unleash an "overcharge" storm at the freaks and see them all left in meaty pieces in front of you.

A community-made map named Spillway set on a dam facility is added to KF2 as part of the event that is compatible for Endless, Survival, VS Survival and Weekly Outbreaks game modes to have more Zed encounters within corridors and open spaces.
